He was hauling Jews to hell out of Spain so they wouldn't get burned at the stake during the Inquisition.
Catholics got pissed off cause they refused to believe in Jesus.

As a matter of fact, there were fishing boats from what is now France and Ireland that visited North America before the earliest Viking presence that we know of. Artifacts have been discovered near Boston that predate the Vikings. Sailing from Europe to North America was not that big of a deal, considering the route the fishing boats would have taken rarely went more than seven or eight days between landfalls. It has been theorized, (not proven) that ancient Phoenicians visited these shores. They were sk**led sailors, and their ships were certainly good enough to cross the Atlantic. Funny thing about those old fishermen and merchant sailors; if a ship could sail there, more than likely someone did. Back then when literacy was the exception and there were few written records of voyages, it is not surprising that there are no records.
It has come to light that Ferdinand Magellan had a chart showing the southern coast of South America that he supposedly "discovered."

I actually believe that the Phoenicians were here due to a Phoenician shipwreck off the coast of Spain that had a ballast of copper ingots that were found to have originated in Wisconsin. I think the world is much older than people credit it and it has been wholly populated for a very long time

I heard one theory that the Trojan War actually happened in England. The rationale was that the war occurred during the Bronze Age. You must have tin to make bronze, and there was not that much tin in the Eastern Mediterranean. England, however, was and is loaded with it, and the theory stated that the war was fought over control of tin.
If there ever was a Helen of Troy she was simply an excuse. The classical site of Troy sat in the middle of several important trade routes. You control those, you make a fortune.
Any way you slice it, the Trojan War, romanticized though it has been, was about money and power. It is unlikely that it lasted ten years because the Greeks could not have supported their army that long, and they would not have left their homeland undefended for that long. It's possible that they sailed home periodically and came back, I suppose.
Back on topic; A Chinese sailor named Cheng Ho sailed all over much of the Western Pacific more than 2000 years ago. The Chinese had VERY seaworthy vessels, with watertight bulkheads and fore and aft rigs.
The Arabs sailed to China and around Africa around 700 AD. They certainly had the ability to sail to North America.

In reality it was folks from somewhere in Asia who discovered this continent about 15.000 years ago by crossing the then land bridge between what now is called Russia and this continent.

The problem with history is that nothing is officially discovered until the white man pillages it. All the peoples who populated the area previously were not really there apparently.

The Chinese were outstanding pillagers. The Mongols even better. For that matter, the Incas, and the Aztecs were no slouches. Neither were the Lakota or the Iroquois.
Regarding the Mongols, the people who populated areas they pillaged were not there after the Mongols got done.
The Aztecs sacrificed several hundred thousand other Indians to their sun god. The Incas also practiced human sacrifice, though not on the scale of the Aztecs.
