There're a lot ot posters on here who say they are bad. How do they keep beating their competitors out?

February TV ratings are out and — well, you know the rest
3:35 PM 02/25/2014

Nielsen Media Research released data on February TV ratings Tuesday and Fox News continues to dominate — pummeling MSNBC and an utterly-anemic CNN, which finished third overall in prime time.

Fox News finishes the month with 1.9 million viewers in 8 to 11 PM prime time, a 6 percent rise from last February and the 146th consecutive month on top. MSNBC pulled just over 700,000 viewers for the same period, while CNN couldn’t even muster 400,000.

“The O’Reilly Factor,” “The Kelly File” and “Special Report with Bret Baier” are the big winners for Fox, pulling in well over 2 million viewers apiece.

MSNBC struggled across the board, but liberal commentator Ed Schultz performed particularly poorly. “The Ed Show” ushered in a new low for his sixth-month stint at the 5 p.m. time slot, drawing in just 570,000 viewers — the poorest performance at 5 PM for the network in three-and-a-half years.

But CNN was the true loser in February. The network’s ratings keep dropping like a rock, and this month continued the rolling disaster. Erin Burnett’s “Out Front” garnered the fewest viewers in the 7 to 8 PM time slot since 1991 — before Fox News was even a glimmer in Rupert Murdoch’s eye.

CNN, the first cable news network in history, also saw its third-lowest prime time ratings ever, and lost a quarter of its total audience between this year and last.

Honey Boo Boo attracts loads of viewers of the same demographic as Fox News, the audience size says nothing of the veracity of the show or the intelligence of the viewers. McDonalds sells more food than Le Bernardin in New York, that hardly attests to the superior quality of their food. Fox appeals primarily to marginally literate low intelligence viewers and they tailor the content to that audience. Murdock is a tabloid newspaper man from the get go and he is good at his craft which is making money from chumps, not reporting news.

The non-Fox MSM is a huge pie. The Democrats hold the control of a lot of its separate slices. The Republicans have a smaller pie, with a giant slice for Fox news.

The Democrats will just have to console themselves with ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, Headline news, PBS, NY Times, and the Washington Post. Who has the advantage? Check the results of the last two p**********l e******ns. Kind of obvious as to who holds the balance of power.

Power is what it is all about. None of this has anything to do with what is best for our country, or it's future as a whole.
Watch for The Blaze Brain, Glenn Beck, Hannity, Levin, and many others are coming soon to main-stream. You people have pushed it too far. People are waking up. This isn't about dem/repub, left/right. It's about what is right for future generations. The system being installed here WILL not work. Period. Fiscal responsibility, strong military, sealed borders, and energy production will be the only things that save America. You have stated that you are a european socalist. Move to europe and leave us the hell alone!!!!!!!!

Why don't you be the one to move...... to Russia! You would fit in a lot better over there. Its a country run on religious principles (Russian Orthodox), has a manly-man shirtless bully for a leader and it knows how to keep uppity women (Pussy R**t), and gays, in line with horse whips. It is the ultimate kleptocracy and free enterprise nation. A perfect new homeland for the American right, who obviously are no longer comfortable with the USA. Don't let the door hit you on the way out...

As against the woman that wrote in and said that being a natural born citizen was wrong because it left out so many well qualified people that were born using a C-section. That the kind of intelligence you are talking about?? Or how about that Chicago and N.Y. make unconstitutional laws means that the 2nd amendment means nothing. Or that Chicago is one of the safer places to live because they have all those anti-gun laws. If this is the kind of intelligence you are talking about, then you can keep it. Sorry, but once again you have proven NOTHING other then the fact that you are good at meaningless rhetoric and unable to make any kind of intelligent point with regards to the subject at hand.

Amazing isn't it , how the left absolutely h**es this country the way it was founded, and aches and longs for a totalitarian government to oppress everyone, freedom is something they have utter contempt for, and just like throughout history none of theses tyrants and despots would have been able to murder over 100 million of their citizens and ens***e millions of others without the willing help of those who support this kind of corruption

The right, however, loves the way this country was founded. A nation founded on land stolen from the indigenous peoples and farmed by stolen labor from Africa. They just can't accept that the U.S. has evolved from a nation based on exclusion of non-w****s to one based on inclusion of all peoples. President Obama is the caraway seed under their bridgework, a living symbol of progressive multi-culturalism. They h**e that this is no longer their father's America and that they have to share this nation with people who do not look or believe the way they do. They are the ones who are un-American and un-patriotic.

They are in a panic, seeking any way possible to avoid changing and adapting to the new America. Deep in their little shriveled hearts they know they must adapt to 2 major demographic groups........independent women and minorities. They would rather go the way of the Whigs than make those necessary changes. They are thick-headed and will absorb their third p**********l loss in a row in Nov. 2016. They are bitter because they cannot hoodwink the American people into v****g against their own interests. They retreat into a world of 1950s "c****e" hunting and watching re-runs of "Father Knows Best". Most of the rest of America doesn't think that great white Republican father knows best.

Yes!!! Good post Archie! You tell 'em!!! ---Just leave! I want the fiscally responsible, strongest military in the world, sealed borders, and energy producing America back, up and running again for my grandsons. And I'm pretty sure the 1.6 million Americans who watch FOX News want the same for their grandkids. Those who don't, should go somewhere else. You don't deserve the America I grew up in. Go ruin someone else's country who wants it.

What does the popularity of Fox News mean?

I think it means nothing more than it is an entertaining network. The Simpsons, American Idol ... you get the idea. All of that was very carefully scripted by Roger Ailes, who honed his sk**ls at public manipulation working for Nixon. He's a brilliant man! But he's hurting this country.
