Good evening Prayer team members,

Hey Armageddun, how are you these days?

As many of you know I kept the topic "Praying for America--Through a Psalm of David" alive and earlier this year I also started "Praying for America Through the Psalm of David: The Second Journey". We have 20 or so more psalms to go. But I want to publicly appreciate BearK.

She has posted consistently on both threads and her prayers are some of the best prayers I have read in a really long time. Thank you, Bear for your wisdom, insight, faith and prayers. May the Lord Bless you always.

Friends I would also like to thank bahmer for his great "Amen Amen" responses. He has been with the topic since I started it back in 2014 and is still going on strong today.

We have 20 or so more Psalms to go, and the second journey will end. In these next 20 days, I welcome everyone to the two threads, to pray for America and ourselves. Come and join us, and see the beauty of the Lord. The prayers of BearK and the "Amen" from bahmer is a perfect show of the Light of the Lord. Come and join us, read our prayers.

May God bless this Prayer Team, and may we all be present at the feast of the Lamb, on that day when He wipes all our tears away. I hope to see each and every one of you there. Don't disappoint me.

God Bless You All!

We who post are the ones each of us are well aware of, but I know there are others who come to one or more of the sites and read what we have put up.
Never fear - the Lord does not let His words go hidden, people see them, feel them, are moved by them. Trust!

This is the prayer from 9/10/15

This afternoon, I sat on the deck watching heavy clouds gather, then a distant rumble rolled across the sky, within minutes, tiny raindrops began their delicate descent to earth. As they fell, I could hear their gentle patter, like little fairies coming down to dance across the countryside. It was a very soothing sound. When the Lord speaks to us, He does it in soft, tender words, so you have to be attuned to hear His voice. Never brush it off and say, "Oh, that's just my imagination." Not every thought is from Him, but tell me, who blessed you with the ability to imagine?

There has been a great deal of rain this year, in fact, with all the rain that has fallen it's a surprise how soon the earth looks thirsty again. I had noticed some cracks across a dry patch of dirt, now it can drink deeply and be refreshed. The trees have joyfully soaked up all this moisture, and some are beginning to show their colorful side. All this rain should turn our hills into a panorama of brilliant colors, reds, shades of orange, and yellows. In the late Fall the poplars are the yellows, they are so bright they remind you of Christmas tree lights. All this color will usher in the advent of our Christmas season, a special time to worship Him.

The Lord sends us showers of love and mercy. How satisfying to know Him, to feel His presence when we need comfort and assurance that we are the 'apple of His eye.' We look at ourselves and give a little snicker to think we are that important to Him. Reading His Word, it tells us 'we are made in His image,' and that He sends angels as ministering spirits to serve us. Believe His Word, and you will hold your head high as one of His children. How glorious is that? May this prayer, expressing the beauty God lays before our eyes, give you a smile and fill your heart with joy. We pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen

This is the prayer from 9/12/15

There comes a time, somewhere along life's way, a person will feel so alone. You can be surrounded by family and friends, yet there seems to be a hollow spot that makes you feel as though you will implode. You are searching for answers to a personal dilemma, serious illness, or possibly the loss of a loved one. These are times when you need a Rock to stand on, a solid place for your footing, instead you feel that everything below your feet is shifting sand. Where do you go? What do you do? How do you find the answers?

You feel as though you would like to run away. What are you, a child? There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, so you have to face life head on. Life is like the sea, at times gentle waves wash in on the shore, and quietly flow back out, life is good and smoothly rolls on. Other times, it feels like the sea is attacking your ship, coming at you with giant waves crashing around you, tossing your tiny ship to and fro. You continue to navigate through these treacherous waters until you reach a secure port, a sheltered haven of safety.

That sheltered port is your secure hideaway. It is the arms of the Lord shielding you from the attacks within your mind. That is the time to lean on your faith. When you are forced to face one of life's obstacles, look to the Lord to bless you with courage and determination. Never count yourself out, particularly when you have the Lord as your Fortress and your Guiding Light. He will lead you to that sheltered spot where you can find the security and peace you are searching for. Defeating painful times may lie ahead, but put your trust in the Lord, and He will pull you through. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen

This is the prayer from 9/14/15

In total silence, the night fog creeps across the landscape engulfing everything in its path. It rolls in as a gentle cloud, swallowing every object into its mysterious haze. It makes every form appear as a ghostly figure. You expect any moment to see someone in a trench coat appear, with the brim of the hat pulled over their eyes. It's a perfect backdrop to usher in a mystery story, but in reality it is a harbinger of fall coming on. It is bringing on another season in our life, a season when children return to school, when leafs begin to show color and fall from the trees, and the jackets come out.

We have seasons in our lives as well. Seasons when we feel we are invincible, that we can climb every mountain, and look forward to tackling every obstacle that may come our way. We go through the seasons of marriage, having children, and watching them grow up, then comes the season of growing old. Our hair has turned grey, and our walk has slowed down, but we still carry a smile on our face for we have fond memories to ponder, and the joys that come with grandchildren. A touch of pain may cross our mind when we think about the passing of loved ones, but there's more joy than sadness.

His Word tells us about seasons, much of it revolves around seasons of change. Often, we feel, His Word is shrouded in mystery, leaving us with more questions than answers. Believers feel we are fast approaching the season of His return. It is certain we are beginning to see the decadence of the Sodom and Gomorrah age. What next? He says we should be about His business, the business of spreading the Word, and saving sinners. the best way to do that is know His Word, and be the best example of it each day. Help us to do this Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus giving You all praise, honor, and glory. Amen

no propaganda please Loc: moon orbiting the third rock from the sun

This morning it was NPP's turn to make breakfast (Spanish omlette applewood bacon, blueberry muffins) so I fed the dogs and then got out the bird seed and hummingbird food and started to make the rounds. Only one hummingbird feeder was empty, out of 9, but as soon as I approached it I was attacked by hummingbirds at least 20 of them all demanding food, screaming and flying around in circles around me, as if each was so important and deserving and I had let them all down. As soon as the last one was full, they all flew to it and fought over it before turning away and going to the other feeders without even a look back to thank me for providing their sustenance.
I started laughing at them but then realized they were just like people. All the great gifts that the Creator has provided and we push and shove each other , demanding more and not giving thanks for all the things He has given us. How very selfish we are, and undeserving of all we have. The hummingbirds know no better but we do-don't we?
Oh Lord we thank thee for the gifts of life that You have provided. Teach us to be greatful and share with others that which has been given to us. We are not deserving of these wonderful things and it is only through the Love that You, the Creator have for us that we have them. Remind us that we must be humble and grateful for the unending love that You have given to us on a daily basis.

Amen, Amen, and welcome back NPP. You have been missed. Every voice for the Lord, is a voice to be appreciated by all.

Your hummingbird story reminded me of when I lived on Grademere. The feeder was empty, so the little darling kept fluttering at the sliding glass doors - to say, "Get on the stick here, and fill my feeder." I promptly got that done.

We have been here for 20 years nd that is a lot of hummingbird generations. Each spring some arrive, fly up to the windows and say "Hi, we are back" then we know to put out the feeders.
