Why not Independent?

I think we need to start at the local level & support people to be Independent.

We will never end the Party System in Government by just having another Political Party.

We need to seek out people that are strong enough & with faith
enough in them self & us to do the right thing.

But of course that means we must be Independent also.
We must limit our self to only support a forum for people with different views to express them self to the public.

Then try not to openly support any single candidates.
This is to say that we should support them independently with out drawing attention to our self.

But that is the problem with independent candidates now. They can't get the support, as in money, when they run and they are life behind everyone else most of the time and never get anywhere. I'm not saying to not support them, but to let everyone know that they are out there and yell it from the highest roof. Without name recognition and a LOT of support, they will go no where. Unless they have a lot of their own money to spend, they will not go far without a lot more income from the people. That means speaking up nad helping them in EVERY way.

No one will run for a major elected position unless they can get financial backing. Although it is true that money is needed, people have become accustomed to measuring a candidates viability by the amount of money they can raise. In essence, most of us are allowing the rich to choose our candidates for us. That is why there is so much fundraising, it's an auction of potential candidates.

What we need are more v**ers. More v**ers registered, and more that actually go to the polls. We need v**er education and not the education that comes from advertising or media reports. Almost everyone has access to the internet and even though there is a bewildering array of "stuff" out there, anyone can get an idea of what is going on, without a lot of effort.

For the majority of Americans to get a representative Government, the majority of Americans need to get involved. Right now, only a handful actually are having a say. Should the rest get involved, they will most likely v**e independent. Only 35% of v**ers are deciding things and they are hard core party liners.
