Remington Arms has announced an expansion plan into Alabama that will create 2,000 jobs in the state, while simultaneously reducing the workforce in their current Ilion, NY home, and Governor Cuomo’s SAFE Act was a catalyst in making it happen.

This past summer, reports started surfacing that Remington Arms was scouting for new locations for their largest manufacturing plant. The new plant would bring with it over 2,000 jobs and $87 million in initial economic impact.

High level sources have informed Yellowhammer News that Remington, one of the world’s largest gun manufacturers, will on Monday join Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley in announcing that they are bringing over 2,000 jobs to Alabama.

The company is viewing the move into Alabama as an expansion, but it will likely impact their Ilion, NY plant as well. The New York facility currently employees around 1,200 people. It is expected to stay open, but with a reduced workforce.

“The company is making the move as an expansion of capacity, production and research,” a source told Yellowhammer on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. “The demand for Remington products has skyrocketed recently, for obvious reasons, so they need to increase their production capacity. They will be expanding their research capabilities with the Alabama plant, too.”

The initial estimated impact on Alabama’s economy will be roughly $87 million.

The report states that Remington began its review of new locations after passage of the SAFE Act which banned magazines containing more than seven rounds, and reclassified the Bushmaster – a Remington product – as an “assault weapon.”

Bryan will have to spend some time with his No-No first so he is immaculately g***med first. (he is quite the wussified snob you know) Then he'll have to consult bojester to get his talking points, and juvenile insults. Kevyn will probably hit the fetal position, and pray to his gods (obama, pelosi. fienstien, schumer, ried, etc.) to save him from the maniacle, redneck, law abiding, evil gun owners.
Both will suffer raw fingertips from furious typing trying to rally the troops. If they had ever done a mans work, they would have callouses, and wouldn't peter out so soon because of the finger issue.

The free market economy at work yet there are those who insist we live in a socialist economy.

Well, you know they make all calibers...ahem...I mean kinds, of pills to help with massive ego-shock. I, being the charitable individual that I am, would be more than happy to donate one of my "pills" to help them.

I'm sure Gov. Cuomo is broken up about a gun manufacturer moving to Dixie. Hear that......that's the sound of the world's tiniest violin. Its just breaking the heart of New York state. $87,000,000 to a state like New York is just spare change. I'm sure the Democratic party is thinking, "good riddance".

Let's not turn this conversation away from the subject.
Job creaters are leaving unfriendly states every day.
Brian and Kevyn are just fodder for fun.

meanwhile gov. coumo is giving free college degrees to inmates. It now costs 60,000 dollars a year per inmate. Must be nice to get all this after ruining peoples lives and getting rewarded for it.I can barely pay my property and school taxes so these inmates can be well taken care of.k**l more jobs and drive people out of N.Y. typical liberal welfare crap. disgusted.
