USA today reports that Barbara Bush told a reporter that she absolutely loves Bill Clinton. She said that Bill views her husband Bush Sr., as the father he never had. She spoke of visiting many times with Bill and enjoys having him up to their estate in Maine. She said Bill likes to visit them every summer.

Well, isn't that special???

If Bush Jr. had married Hillary Rodham, he could have been President for life!

This whole thing is kind of creepy. Barbara Bush, apparently is not one to guard her words or self-censor very much.

At another time, she said Bill Clinton was a liar. This white-haired grandmother was quoted as saying, "A man may forget where he parks his car, maybe even forget where he lives, but he never forgets a BJ"

I guess wh**ever floats your boat. The Democrats should be cautious if they are that close. It just doesn't seem logical with Hillary in sight of being a president. If they were retired its one thing but this relationship smells circumspect. Just my view.........

My guess? She probably wasn't there. I may hold my nose and v**e for her but I can still see. Its been pretty clear for a long time, that she and Bill have some kind of "arrangement". Kind of like the old days, when Hollywood actors would have a cover marriage, while they lived a very different lifestyle. The Clinton marriage is about political power. I suspect it has very little to do with love and affection. Google: historical royal marriages.

BTW, why would Republicans worry that Hillary=Bill's third term. Bill was nothing more than Republican "lite". He was the one who worked with the Republicans to pass NAFTA and the repeal of "Glass-Steagal". They both screwed the middle class, sending our good paying jobs overseas while enriching themselves handily.

Brian-give the lady a break. She , like some of us, is elderly and apt to forget some of the things she said in the past. Also, Bill Clinton seems to be a likeable guy and, in spite of his lapses in judgement, was a good president. Unlike the current White House occupant, Clinton did collaborate with Newt Gingrich to balance the budget. Good Luck America !!!~

I v**ed for Bill, because I couldn't bring myself to v**e for GHW Bush or Bob Dole. Let's be honest, however. Behind all that glib smile and f**e warmth, beats the heart of the "Music Man", professor Harold Hill...who is more than willing to sell the residents of River City, a brass band that they don't need and can't afford.

I do too. If we are really honest about our political system, the politicians are mostly bag-men for the banks, insurance companies, and the corporations. As people say, follow the money. Sometimes I think that Washington D.C. is little more than window dressing for the American aristocracy.

I really do believe the D.C. politicians believe the common folk are easily diverted with "bread and circuses".

Would you prefer your calimari basted in wine and truffles or would monsieur prefer to have the squid marinated in beer???

Either way it adds up to fishy tasting rubber.

Skip Cafe DuMonde for beignets. Try Morning Call. They are as good and cost less.
