If your faith protected you from venomous snakes that you were handling wouldn't it make sense that it would also protect you from putting a loaded gun against your head and pulling the trigger? Or guzzling poison or running across the freeway?

The snake turned out to be a gay republican, actually born in the garden of Eden.

In the words of GW Bush, "Are our children learning?"

You may not like religion and think they are all brain damaged but there are real economic and societal benefits to being apart of a group of people that work together for their common good.

This guy was a moron and now his kids don't have a father thanks to his stupidity. If there is a group of religious i***ts worse than snake handlers I've yet to see them.

Maybe you have several good leads on some worse?

Clearly your uneducated mind is continually being perverted by your disbelief in the almighty God. I beleive you have already been bitten by this world. I bet you think you are pretty smart too!

Our Lord God gave us enough intelegence to take care of ourselves and our fellow man. The choice is yours! Taking up serpents is a very old pentacost tradition that I do not condone and a person shouldn't challenge faith. After all the deciples had walked with Jesus and witnessed him being crucified and reserected, some still could not beleive. Faith

I would agree that there is a certain sort if crazy involved, neither did those at Jim Jones camp or down in Waco, TX. The world is full of negative energy, I call it sin. We all are created equal and have the opertunity to make the correct choices. As we both know, certain life choices can lead to poverty or death by a snake.

There is this Hindu story about a holy man walking in the jungle. Natives come running towards him and tell him a rogue elephant is coming. He stays on the path, thinking "God will protect me." More natives come and warn him but he stays on the path, confidant in God's protection. This happens again yet he stays on the trail. Then the elephant comes charging into him and k**ls him. Standing before God, the holy man asks, "I thought you would protect me?" God responds, "How many times did I send messengers to warn you?"
