Interesting read. The Roman Empire fell due to the Enemy that they took into their own Military and put in Higher Ranking positions. This is the T***h, and not to be twisted to fit another's agenda.
The Roman Empire's enemy at that time were the very early Germanic peoples and tribes that had come down from above the Rhine River. Even during those ancient times the Germanic people were an excellent and elite fighting warriors, or army. They towered in height over the Roman soldiers and eventually weakened the Roman military to the point that the Roman's began recruiting them into their own armies. In doing this, the Germanic soldiers were allowed to marry into High Ranking Families and take political positions.
Thing is, is the Germanic's were still savages, with the savage mentality. As they grew into high ranking places, they would literally run the rich Roman's off their properties, or k**l them, and assume their wealth. Eventually the Roman Emporer's were k**led one after the other, one Emporer only having been in seat for 4 months. The Roman Citizens began being taxed so heavily, the tax collectors would go out in their very fields and take their crops.
In all the mismanagement of the Empire, as it came to be, Rome Fell.

The Lombards, a Germanic tribe, took Italy for 400 years, and why once in a great while you'll see a German Pope. The Angles and Saxons took England, as Rome could no longer defend it financially, or with soldiers. (referred to as AngloSaxsons now)
And so forth. There were the Goths, the Visigoths, the Franks, many of the ancient Germanic tribes.
However, this is how and why Rome fell.
