The lesson of Chris Christie and bridge gate: Don't fall in love too fast

I have been wondering about Bridgegate and Christie and why it had been pushed so hard by the media and I think I have found the answer. Also, in this link you may be able to find a number of issues that the Republicans and the Democrats may be able to use in 2016.

I have thought all along that the media is pulling this trick because Christie had come to look too dangerous for the Democrats to deal with. I, like this man, wonder if this isn't just the normal attack on a Republican who looks like a formidable candidate. My main problem is that I don't really back Christie as my candidate but I surely do not like this attack that is based on the words of a lawyer and his promise of "dirt" which he hasn't come up with other than his lawyerly promises of things to come. I think he is now more worried about getting somebody else to pay for some of his debts caused by this one.

oldroy-the democrats will do anything to discredit Christie. I believe he is the man that independents could support and without them no republican can win. Christie is just too smart to involve himself in a stupid scheme such as the bridge deal. Compared to to grandma Clinton , Christie is more p**********l and a straight shooter. Hillary, on the other hand will say and do wh**ever it takes to save her skin, loathes the military, and is in it for self promotion rather than service to country. I am hopeful that the governor will be totally vindicated and continue on as a candidate. Good Luck America !!!

The thing that bothers me most about this one is that in 2012 Republicans treated Herman Cain much worse than Democrats did although both of them worked against him. Now what happens to Christie when his opponents in the establishment Republican group start working against him. Nothing to do with the hurricane and his putting his arm around the Barack will escape them and so far that one hasn't entered in this discussion yet.

I like Chris Christy. It has been a big shock. There does seem to be credible evidence this was an organized plot with several players. Most Right wing people say he was a RINO and would not have v**ed for him.. I don't think it was a Democrat plot. All the players are Republicans so far. The media is allowing Christy to be tried in the court of public opinion. It doesn't look good. I think there is no way he would run for President.

More like you hope he doesn't try since establishment Republicans, the media and their bosses the Democrats want to do him in as soon as possible.

Where does all the proof against him reside? Is it that lawyer who said he had 900 pages and hasn't turned any of them in to his enemies yet?

Why does the media continue to play that game with him and ignore some of the things the DOI is doing to protect the IRS? If some of the media would get involved in that story maybe people could forget about that little traffic jam or even the words of Michelle Obama in that Virginia school today telling the kids that all of them who graduate could haul in all kinds of money to go to college, ignoring the fact that so many graduates of college can't get jobs these days.

I dont think I would trust Chrisie as President anyway. He used some mode of t***sportation, (think flying) to watch his son's baseball or some game... but charged the expense of it to his Office instead of his own personal account. Sounds dishonest to me. When it was brought to his attention, he reimbursed them. But if he does little things like this.. no telling what all he would do later on. No telling the many things Obama has done that the citizens of this country know absolutely NOTHING about.
