Hello Shipmates: I am new at this forum and don't quite know how to operate it, so bear with my mistakes. I consider myself to be laid back but can be passionate on some topics.

I am new at this forum and don't quite know how to operate it, so bear with my mistakes. I consider myself to be laid back but can be passionate on some topics. A******n and the refugee problem, for instance. I consider myself to be a Constitutional conservative on most subjects. My mind is not made up on several issues even though I am 62 years old. I try to keep an open mind and listen to reason. Hopefully, being on this forum will be a good experience for you and me. I won't check it daily except when expecting an answer to a post.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride there are a lot of constitutional conservatives here so you will have a lot of support but there are some left wing nut jobs as well. Also please use the quote reply when replying to others on here so that we all can know to who you are responding and to what as well.

Welcome aboard. I'm going to to go out on a limb and assume (I h**e that word) that you are former Navy since you titled your post 'Hello Shipmates'. Really doesn't matter, but I'm former Navy myself, Communications Technician (morse intercept & cryptography), 9 years with the U.S. Naval Security Group. I too am a Constitutional conservative and also believe the oath oil took on entering the service is still in effect. I'm 72 and currently live in Oklahoma. Hope you enjoy your experiences here and don't let the liberals get to you.

OK. I agree our government is a corporate oligarchy. Don't see that particular opinion on Facebook posts. I am against a******n. It's murder in my view. I would like to see taxes go down, the undocumented refugee and i*****l a***ns returned to their country or go live in London with their Muslim government. Liberal equals "sucker" in my opinion. I'm 62 years old and have an open mind, as I have written before. I like a good debate and am gracious when I lose.

Do you do research? National Archives, law library, statues at large? we need all the help we can get. Open mind is good. Mine is closed on 90% of the issues I deal with.

I'm not mobile. I am a 100% disabled Navy vet. So, research is difficult. But I'm pretty good at using the Internet on various subjects. I try to avoid politics. In parts of that one area I'm pretty rigid. When I say I'm a Constitutional conservative, I want to underline conservative.
