I remember when in the late 70's there was a lot of talk and commotion about Black men wanting and having a White blonde haired girlfriend. I saw a lot of it back then, even dark haired girls that bleached their hair blonde in those relationships. During those times I did not think much about it at all but did notice it wasn't so much White men with black women, but the other way around.
Question: What was that all about?
White women like black men, for many reasons.
Some of those reason are very big reasons.
More now than ever before

Amazing that you jumped on the sterotype so quickly.
Seems that myth has morphed into reality, ignoring the fact that many white women refuse to constrained by the social mores and stigma of r****ts and bigots

Meant exactly what I said.
If you think it is anatomical. so be it
Or you could ask clarence thomas wife why she hooked up with him, or tim scott's most recent girlfriend.
Or any number of athletes or entertainers spouses/girlfriends
Or just let your mind dwell on wh**ever reason you can concoct

I asked about in the late 70's, and these were not famous or wealthy black men. Your comment on their 'bigger reasons and such' was very loudly meaning anatomy.
I don't care to play twister here with ya bo, I'm to straight forward.

I guess the GOP pundants are right, r****m is dead in this country.
with your title resembling that of the black kid that was shot by Zimmerman (don't know his race), I can understand your r****t comment to my post. However, my inquiry as to why black men seemed to want white women with blonde hair back in the 70's is an honest question.
Five years ago, I watched my last Oprah show due to the fact she was displaying very colorful posters of female and male genitilia, thinking the Whole Country and it's kids needed sex education from her. During that show, the camera would flash onto a black man and a blonde white woman heavily making out in public for about 20 seconds each time..
I strongly voiced my opinion about her craziness, with the fact that Black and W****s seemed to be doing fine with their own with mixing, without her subliminal messaging of it.
"What is the Thinking Behind it?" It's an honest question that I feel deserves an answer.

I will take a shot at this. None of the following statements have ANY degree of research or facts to support them but are random thoughts.
During the 70s black males were becoming better educated and becoming more upwardly mobile. Black females had not yet become as upwardly mobile in the business community. Perhaps the new affluence among the males had them seeking females of a similar level of education and employment status, which at that time would have been white females.
After thinking on your comment, I think your right as far as these couples in my question goes.
When working in the ER, my charge nurse was a Registered Nurse in her 40's, silvered hair already, and her husband was a big burly guy, a black guy who was a business man.
The other couple I knew was a dark haired young woman, who had bleached her hair, and her boyfriend was a black lean athlete. They were both in school and had a cute baby girl. They both lived at home with their parents.
So, curiosity satisfied for now. Thanks. I still can't stand Oprah, nor did I ever understand what she was doing.
