We should have given Osama's body a tickertape parade in downtown New York City and burned it on the grounds where the two towers collapsed. This article has it backwards. Be wary of anyone or any organization that advocates using children, living or dead, for political ends. They are shameless.

No, they should not release the photos, the families should not have to relieve the horror.

The people who they are trying to send a powerful message to are devoid of a soul and will not be listening or seeing. If you can call the victims of gun violence "props" or yell "you are infringing upon my 2nd amendment" at a father who lost a son, during the massacre, when he asked for a ban on assault rifles, you are devoid of a soul.

They have already accused the government of staging the massacre in order to control guns.

Obama was just waiting for the opportunity to put his gun control agenda into action.

Something like George W. Bush using 9/11 for an excuse to take Americans into the Iraq War because they had "weapons of mass destruction", the WMD's that did not exist.

The gun violence in this country does exist and it is costing taxpayers $10 billion dollars annually and it will continue to increase.

I keep hearing how much of an inconvenience background checks would be -- like it was convenient for the families of the dead children to plan funerals.

The 1st amendment gives you the freedom of speech, freedom of religion and the freedom of press. All of these have limits.

It is the 1st amendment that gives you the freedom to buy the car you want, the freedom to smoke the cigarettes you want and the freedom to drink the liquor, beer and wine you want. It may not say that in the amendment, it is imposed.
All of these proved to be k**lers and were redesigned, banned, or limited.

The 2nd amendment says you have the right to bear arms -- it doesn't say you have the right to buy ammunition, that is imposed.

Anyone complaining about the "inconvenience" of background checks is complaining about the wrong thing. As for ammunition, your argument is disingenuous. Of what use are guns without ammunition? Nothing. That amounts to an infringement of the Second Amendment.

I oppose releasing the photos. To me it is a useless action. Why give some freek, entertainment seeing dead children? Why put the parents and faint of heart through this again?
I can see no reason to put this out to the public. Any person who is informed or watches news see murder, beatings and lawlessness every day...without the blood.
I would have to be concerned the pictures would spur on more of this type of destructive behavior, from some disturbed individuals seeing this material.
I know I will get heat for this comment but NOONE can stop or limit this kind of depraved, insane, brutal action from happening. If some sick person wants a weapon they will get one. I read and heard many comments and all that did was make me more convinced there is no law that can be the solution. There can be a thousand more laws and regulations and it will not stop the depraved from doing their deeds. Simple fact, sick and lawless people DO NOT FOLLOW LAWS. Seems so many people want to blame everyone for the problem, but I hear very few demands for better mental health, stop making violent video games and movies. It's always gun owners and gun organizations are to blame. When the greedy people in government, Hollywood, special interest groups and the liberal way of thinking are taken care of, many social problems will be solved. It is money that is driving most of the problems found in today's society. Wasted dollars on useless crap and none for major issues. The current government is only focused on taking more of everything from us to increase their power. I want to know why DHS is buying so much ammo, weapons and armored vehicles? They are the real worry. I would be more concerned when that crew goes on a wild power grab. How do they rationalize not enforcing laws, releasing criminals, letting our border wide open, but still have billions of dollars to buy weapons, etc.? That sequestation is a big lie. The government wants us to 'suffer' to reinforce their position of being the great savior. What a bunch of BS.
