We'll have to disagree. 1. "Pay a worker what the employer is willing to pay, not what a man needs to support himself and family". In our system, worker can move on to new opportunities, to make more money to support himself and family. Typically worker has opportunity to move because of new training, skills. The worker is rewarded for hard work, taking advantage of new opportunities. What is wrong with that ideology? Are you saying we should reward people that don't reach upward, improve themselves, be more productive and skilled citizens and contribute to our society? We should reward or subsidize the "worker" that did nothing to improve or contribute, but take on a family or other responsibilities. Understand there are under privileged citizens, sick, people that have accidents, that need special care. I get that. But to say a conservative ideology is selfish is just crazy to me, someone who came from a poor family, worked hard, went to school with the help of the government (I am ex-military), got relevant training and schooling that is relevant today (tech) I subscribe to a selfish ideology -- don't see it that way. Not I. I teach my kids you "can be anything you want to be" and I very much see that today with other young adults and believe it today. As a business owner and leader of people, I do not subscribe to "pay a worker what the employer is willing to pay not what a man needs to support himself and his family." I have had that conversation many times with employees. Is living beyond ones' means, e.g. have 8 wireless carrier devices (iphones), every pay tv movie channel, 4 cars, go on vacations all the time, spend and have no strategy to save money or live within ones' means not to be taken in to account when describing "..... pay what the employer is willing to pay and what a man needs to support himself and his family". Or, are you saying I should just pay everyone 2x salary "just because ......" based on what?? Kindness of my heart or it is just the right thing to do? If I don't pay competitive wages, have good benefits, good environment, they will go elsewhere. You describe something that says that all people that "are rich" are bad people and it is a crime or "bad" that one can succeed in this country. Oh -- I am sure one might add, well they (successful worker) trampled on people along the way so that is bad, they screwed the little guy. I describe your ideology, respectfully I will add and in most cases, to more laziness, lack of desire to work hard and better themselves, and then having a sour-grapes attitude of "I am entitled to make more, just because.....". People have options in our society. Most states are a "right to work" state, i.e. they can fire the worker, but the worker can fire the employer too. Good debate.... :)

Nope. I consider myself a "conservative" and I do not share any of your observations. Generally, I believe in "personal responsibility, limited government, & fiscal responsibility, strong defense of nation, pro-growth business and fair free-trade strategy to create jobs, while being smart with economy and environment". Everyone is equal, men and woman, all races, all religions. Respect the constitution and laws. Free speech, believe in God (or not), but I am fine with God being a faith and following, but not when extremisms are exercised.

What happened to reporting NEWS in this country? What the he'll is wrong with the Democratic party. I have no idea who they are anymore. Anyone that claims to be a Democrat and is buying into all of this hoopla opinion reporting from all of these networks are, yeah I think they are... Brainwashed. More on this at end of post.

I consider myself a moderate republican, with many libertarian beliefs.

Many of the policies of the last admin were clearly in violation to established laws (e.g. immigration, sanctuary cities, resource appropriations to non citizens, and others with exec orders lime appropriation of land to federal government).

Many of the tax ideas and healthcare repeal ideas are very good ideas. Not perfect, but a good start. On taxes, we need to compete globally on tax rates. Check the facts. Historically - tax rate reductions have always increased government revenues as more people go back to work. In the case of corporate taxes, long over due to get on a level playing field. Business create jobs.

Healthcare. Best thing imo that came out of ACA was preexisting condition rules, IMO. Does not apply to me but I know so many people that were impacted by that previous hurdle. And, all I know were fine paying more for insurance help. However, socialized healthcare is just bad. I started my own small business, left Corp america and the rates have skyrocketed. Some of it related to ACA, but other reasons can be attributed to other factors e.g. medical care/drug business models, lack of competition. Also, number of people on handout programs is not helping (not just healthcare). What happened to people productively contributing and earning a living? Sure, there are unfortunate folks that really do need help. Let's help them. However, how many folks are using the system, or have a "they owe me mentality" out there? I know many. I ha e a family member that has mastered it.....

So I am rambling. My final thoughts.

To all of you so called Progressive democrats....

1. Shame on you for calling me a racist. I am not that.
2. Shame on you for calling our President a racist, and comparing him to Hitler.
3. Stop attacking me if I disagree with you. You are the haters, not me if we differ in our thoughts.
4. You are the ones dividing our nation, not me.
5. Wages. Way to go to push "living wages". You get to tell those folks that automation will accelerate their job destruction. Oh, when was working a low level McDonald's or Wal-Mart job was ever meant to be a career occupation? (Oh boy, I am sure I will get clobbered for that lay statement).

I know myself, plus many others like me, do not poll, or discuss many of the "issues" and are growing sick and tired of the progressive vision and rants.... when we engage you, you cannot accept any difference in thinking and therefore you attack. You appear to have lost yourself, your values, and any resemblance of a moral compass. I assume you have no God or Higher Power to believe in. Your movement is very sad, very concerning that you immiadiay want to shut down speech and beliefs of others or call us racists, sexist, homophobic, greedy, etc. If we disagree. You are the haters. You have become the movement of fascism and communism, not me. Try comparing our Bill of Rights and the ten planks from the Communist Manifesto. Based on my interpretation, the Progressive movement want to continue down the path of the latter... You decide.

You will attack this post. It will be predictable. Arguments will be something like:

1. I am deranged, a racist, not compassionate, or the favorite, I have no empathy.
2. None of above, just that I am stupid. Or maybe not bright "to see what is going on", or something like that.

I could cover other topics, North Korea, security leaks, Russia (I have some very different ideas what that is really about), legal immigration (my mom immigrated legally 40 years ago), gun control/2nd Ammendment rights.

I know I am on to something as I have two young daughters , 18 and 22. Both were democrats, but one has shifted to an independent and the other republican. All by thinking independently and researching the facts.

So many brainwashed folks out there. Our media shovels all of this noise to make money, from the left and right. Social media is out of control. People, put your smartphone down, breath. Watch a movie.

If you be believe in something, fine. Elect folks to change the laws, but respect the current laws. But don't force your views on others with hatred, violence and fear. We have to find compromise people.
