We need to require the elimination of al DEI personnel and activity fr any institution receiving government money. I find it hard to view DEI as anything but anti-white and anti-Asian racism. We have had over 50 years of affirmative action; Some think it is still needed but it is clearly not the solution if it has not worked in 50 years.
Secondly spending money to fight climate change, such as subsidizing electric cars is wasted. China dwarfs our CO2 output, and continues to build coal plants. The only effect we will see from such expenditures is that we will be poorer by what we spend. It is just expensive virtue signalling.
The law is plain, the court ruled to enforce it. It would be wrong to not enforce a law. I and most others think this is a horrible law. The legislature needs to correct it.
Competing in a restricted class of sports. women's sports, is a privilege society grants to women. It is society's right to decide on the definition of a woman. There is no RIGHT to compete in women's sports, it is a PRIVILEGE. The trans community complains they have no place to compete. They do, MEN's sports. They do not want to because they will lose, just as most men who are no trans.
A consequence of China's one child policy was parents avoiding having girls. As a result there are many single Chinese men. In my opinion this was an awful policy. Had they discriminated against men and produced an excess of women I would say great.
When I went to parents night my daughter's senior year in high school I saw one black face, a woman whose daughter was in most of my daughter's honors courses, The parents' attitude makes a big difference.
I read of a case where a dog was electrocuted bu peeing on a low lighted sign. The owner wad using a metal chain link leash and was also badly shocked.
If human life is sacred, consider:
Nature tries to start a new human every time a woman ovulates. This is already more than half a human; it has one complete genome but needs s second from the male to develop. Nature has provided powerful sex urges in men and women to accomplish this. Defying this urge by contraception or even abstinence is effectively negligent homicide of the ovum.
Obviously taking this position is not acceptable as it would totally disrupt society. My point is that conception is a somewhat arbitrary place to say life begins. Passing laws making the fertilized ovum sacred but not the unfertilized is not fully reasonable. Even the early Catholic church had discussions on when "insolation", the introduction of a soul into the embryo occurred. Abortion is not intrinsically destructive to society; the presence of unwanted children is far more disruptive
I do not want public money in religious schools. Catholic schools are mot a big problem, they focus on educating. Yeshivas and Madrassa would have to be funded equally, and they are for indoctrination more than education, and should certainly not be funded.
Heard it years ago. Loved it then, love it now.
The Gaza aid is strictly for internal politics; has nothing to do with gaza.
Don't hear that enough. Equity is racism, just against whites and Asians.
MIT has at least 90 DEI officers Some have other duties I can only imagine the cost. I and many other alumni no longer give.
There has never been a true scientific study showing harm from any GMO. It is an emotional issue with no basis in science. People opposing them are ust distrustful of anything man made.
