As a new member let me say hello and praise all on this site for caring about politics & caring about the future of our country. I was a lifetime democrat for most of my life & even supported Obama as president the first time around as I was disillusioned with Bush. I got my news from MSNBC & hated conservatives & republicans. I heard all these attacks on some guy on Fox named Glenn Beck & over time got to really dislike the man. In my travels from day to day I would talk to friends & neighbors about politics & I would ask them their opinions on Beck. They all confirmed that he was a wacko trying to destroy the country. I was glad to hear how my thoughts of the man were confirmed, and then one day I decided to watch his show on Fox. I saw nothing that day which supported all the negative things I heard from many in the media, so I figured I probably caught him on a good day. So, in my desire to see this fool confirm my opinion, I watched him the next day & once again I was disappointed. This went on for days, then weeks, then months.

And then it finally happened. I realized that throughout my life I have been lied to and manipulated by the media. This was a man who really cared about people & our country in a most gracious way, & yet was being attacked by MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, The N.Y. Times, The Washington Post, The L.A. Times, etc., etc. Why? I took it upon myself to talk to as many people as possible about politics & their views & found out that none of the people who agreed with me that Glenn was a "dick" had ever listened to him. Trying to be as opened minded as possible I questioned everybody I could to ask about their political views & why they believed in their party of choice.

I rejoiced with each person that declared their democratic alliegance, however just about every time I asked them why, it seemed every democrat would say exactly what the latest talking points were being fed to them from the liberal media. When I asked how they knew that the things they were saying were true, almost always the response was, "I heard it on the News". Much to my surprise when I asked my Republican friends to back up their opinion, they came up with so many things which I had never heard before. My first response was how these "righties" were lieing & making things up-after all I never heard "that".

Then one day I decided that, the only thing I really wanted was the absolute best for my country & to promote how the democrat party respects & follows the greatest document ever written by man, The Constitution of the United States.

And along came the epiphany. Ever since the assasination of JFK I have been manipulated by the media & it has gotten worse & worse over time. Today, it is absolutely DISGUSTING how all the news outlets, except for Fox News dumb down the public & refuse to report so many news worthy things because it might hurt the liberal, progressive agenda. I have found that the people who really love this country & desire freedom, while being so less hateful & bellicose are the Conservatives & not necessarily the Republicans who are becoming nothing more than democrats in disguise.

Bottom line, unless you try to be fair & watch Fox News along with any of the other stations that you may like & do just a little homework as to what you are fed, you will never know what you don't know, & you will continue to be the pawn that our politicians want you to be. If you want what's best for our country, please do a little homework & question what you are told.

Good Morning:

I was reading recently how some right-wing militia groups were going to places like Starbucks armed to the teeth in order to show they are going to use their gun rights no matter what.

OK. So I was wondering that since this is perfectly legal and most everyone forms no objection to that if it would also be ok if a socialist group would go to Starbucks armed to the teeth or would they be arrested for something.

You might justify arresting a communist group as they advocate the forcible removable of our government. But a socialist group advocates change through the ballot box.

So what do you all think? I was hoping for some original thought here instead of just the sound bites that most writers here are capable of.

People like me are completely ‘politically-irrelevant’, & I will never again comment on, or concern myself with, the aforementioned coalition… which has surrendered our culture, our heritage & our traditions without a shot being fired.
You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance & massive displays of civil disobedience to get-back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take Zealots… not moderates & shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs… to right this ship… & to restore our beloved country to its former status.
Those who come after us will have to risk their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to "white guilt" & political correctness...

Push "Green Energy Agenda" by giving loans to political contributors for start-up "Green Energy" companies that have all went bankrupt (*see national debt) - Check
Emasculate the United States Military - Check
Try to force gun confiscation upon America under the guise of "Gun Safety" - Still working on that
Persecute Christianity and raise Islam in America - Check
Allow our borders to be overrun by illegal aliens - Check
Harass Conservatives using the IRS and the FBI - Check
Use the Department of Justice to run blocker for numerous crimes committed against the American people - Check
Ruin the American healthcare system and cause a tremendous rise in cost's across the board - Check
