The End Times According to Jesus Part 3
By Jack Kelly
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Feb. 22nd 2023

“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. (Matt 24:36-41)

Don’t let this passage confuse you, like it has so many others. Note that the first sentence reads, “No one knows about that day or hour.” Plenty of people on Earth at the End of the Age will know when the Lord is due to return. Remember, both the kick-off event and duration of the Great Tribulation are clearly and unmistakably described. On the day when the Antichrist stands in the Temple and declares that he’s God, they’ll just have to count off 1260 days and look up into the sky. First, they’ll see the Sun and Moon turn dark and stars fall out of the sky. (Matt 24:29) That’s the signal that the Great Tribulation has ended. Then the Lord’s sign will appear in the sky. (Matt. 24:30) And finally, they’ll see the Lord Himself coming in the clouds in power and glory. But the period of time required for this sequence to unfold is anybody’s guess, and that’s what this passage says.

Also, the Lord compared the time of His return to the time of Noah, so we should expect to find similar circumstances leading up to these two events. And we do. Both involve worldwide judgments that occur at a time when most people are caught unaware. Although in both cases the people of Earth are given repeated warnings of what’s coming, those warnings are ignored by almost everyone. In the case of the Great Flood, judgment came in the form of rain, which fell on the Earth for 40 days and 40 nights. In the case of the Great Tribulation 21 separate judgment events unfold over a 3 ½ year period. This is why although only eight people survived the Flood, the Lord warned that the Great Tribulation would be the worst time of judgment in human history.

Here’s where the second hint of a body of believers in Heaven awaiting His return appears, and this one’s even more vague than the first one, back in Matt. 24:31. You see, both the Great Flood and the Great Tribulation have three components: judgment, preservation through judgment, and escape from judgment. In the Days of Noah, the unbelievers were judged, Noah’s family was preserved through the judgment, and Enoch escaped it altogether. At the End of the Age, unbelievers are judged, the remnant of Israel is preserved through the judgment, and the Church escapes from judgment.

Now let’s consider those words taken and left in Matt. 24:40-41 a little more closely. The Greek word translated taken literally means received, and the one translated left means put away. They refer to the disposition of those remaining alive on Earth when the Lord returns—the Tribulation Survivors. Those who’ve become believers will be received into the Kingdom, and those who haven’t will be put away into the place prepared for the devil and his angels. Folks who try to find the Rapture of the Church in these words are simply looking in the wrong place.

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. (Matt. 24:42-44)

This warning is given primarily to those Tribulation Survivors who are not believers. As I stated above, once the Great Tribulation begins, all believers on Earth will know when it will end. The sequence of events that follow is also clear. The only thing they won’t know is the exact day and hour of His Coming.

No, this warning is to the undecided, who aren’t counting up the prophecies being fulfilled around them, and don’t realize that if they waver too long, they’ll be taken by surprise and miss their last chance at salvation. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll be only too aware of the massive disruptions to their lives caused by the End Times judgments. They just won’t understand what’s behind it all. Remember, confusion and deception will be the order of the day.

Think about the analogy of the thief. As the Lord returns unexpectedly (like a thief), He’ll be breaking into a place the enemy thinks belongs to him and his followers. “Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Phil 3:19-20) He won’t be coming as a thief in the night as far as believers are concerned, stealthily breaking into their world. They’ll be eagerly watching and impatiently waiting, counting the days, praying for His coming, longing for Him to take them home to be with Him forever.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt. 24:45-51)

The worst punishment is reserved for those in charge, heads of organized religions who, instead of “feeding” their flocks with the Bread of Life and encouraging them with the promise of His return, confuse and deceive them with false doctrines, and deny the validity of God’s prophetic Word. By their actions, they demonstrate the depravity of their own souls, showing themselves to be devoid of the Holy Spirit and worthy of punishment. Knowingly or not, they’re infiltrators from the enemy’s camp, like tares among the wheat.

Having forsaken the truth, they no longer watch for the Lord’s return, ignoring the obvious fulfillment of prophecy all around them and ridiculing those whose child-like faith sustains them. These “Christian Atheists” as they sometimes call themselves, are worse than the enemy because they look and talk like friends. They’re like the one John describes as appearing to have the authority of the Lamb but who speaks the words of the Dragon (Rev. 13:11). They will be also be assigned to the place prepared for the devil and his angels.

But the Lord will elevate to a place of authority in His Kingdom those who keep the word of God through the intense hardship and persecution of the times, and teach sound doctrine to the flocks entrusted to them. Just as some among the common folk alive when the Lord returns will be received into the Kingdom with honors, while others are put away in everlasting shame and contempt, so it will be with their leaders.

In chapter 25, Matthew recounts two parables, the Ten Bridesmaids and the Talents, and a warning to Tribulation Survivors, the Sheep and Goat judgment. In all three, the emphasis is on separating the faithful from the unfaithful following the Lord’s return. The faithful will be received with honors into His Kingdom, while the unfaithful are left out to be judged. Since all three include a reference to time that places them in the aftermath of His 2nd coming, the entire chapter expands on the “taken and left” statement of Matt. 24:40-41.

Because there’s been so much confusion, let’s make this perfectly clear. Of all the views on the timing of the Rapture of the Church, none place it after the 2nd coming. But look how clearly that time frame is indicated in each portion of Matt. 25. Backing up a little to establish the order, we read;

“Immediately after the distress of those days,” signs in the Heavens after the end of the Great Tribulation (Matt 24:29)

“At that time,” His appearance in the sky after the end of the Great Tribulation (Matt. 24:30)

“No one knows about that day,” the day of the 2nd Coming, after the Tribulation (Matt: 24:36)

“At that time,” connecting the parable of the ten virgins to the 2nd Coming (Matt 25:1)

“Again,” referring to the same time frame in beginning the parable of the talents (Matt. 25:14)

“When the Son of Man comes in all His Glory,” beginning the Sheep and Goat judgment which describes the judgment of Tribulation Survivors after the 2nd Coming (Matt 25:31).

As you see, they all occur chronologically after the Tribulation and 2nd Coming, and all describe the situation on Earth following the Lord’s return. Therefore none of them can be used to describe the Rapture or any other aspect of the Church. The Church Age ends with the Rapture and that occurs before the Second Coming.

It’s clear that the only questions the Lord answered in the Olivet Discourse are the three the disciples asked. “When will these things happen? What will be the sign of your Coming and of the End of the Age?” Having chosen to delay the announcement of the Rapture of the Church until nearly 20 years after His resurrection, the Lord neither taught it to His disciples nor, as we’ve seen, did He address it in the Olivet Discourse. No, the Olivet Discourse was a summary of Jewish Eschatology given to Jews in Israel, not intended for the Church.

So in coming to the end of our commentary, we’re left with one big unanswered question. Why didn’t the Lord teach something as important as the Doctrine of the Rapture to his disciples somewhere else in the Gospels? Obviously, there’s a good reason, and I’ll explain it next time. That way we’ll keep something intended exclusively for the Church separate from this very Jewish passage of Scripture we call the Olivet Discourse. In the meantime, if you listen closely, you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.

We are not in the Tribulation yet because the rapture has to happen first, then is the beginning of sorrows that God causes to happen that leads into the tribulation. The wicked now are creating these things to happen on the earth because they are using HAARP & DEW weapons that effect the weather and can cause earthquakes like the most recent one in Turkey & Syria. The babyboomers born after 1948 (meaning military coming out of WW2 that had large families), scripture says all those then will not pass away until you will see the coming of the son of man (Jesus). Before Jesus comes the rapture would have to happen first. Then the 7 year tribulation would have to start. If 2028 was the end then the rapture & tribulation would already have to have happened, which it has not. The Tribulation would have to have started in 2021, which it has not. So you see there is still time to repent as we are still in the age of grace. When we move from the the age of grace to the Kingdom age it will be harder to be saved from the wrath that is coming.... The End Times According to Jesus Part 2
by Jack Kelley
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matt 24:9-14)

The words here are very similar to those in Luke 21:20-24 covered in Part 1, but in Matthew, the focus is clearly the End Times. It helps to remember that verses 4-14 are an overview of the End Times that cover the period from the beginning of the birth pangs to the 2nd Coming.

Believers will be severely persecuted at the End of the Age (Matthew’s version) just like they were at the beginning (Luke’s version) and because Tribulation believers are not promised Eternal Security like the Church was, many will turn away from the faith due to the intense persecution. Just before the Lord’s return, the Good News will be preached in every nation to prepare the people of Earth for His coming and to deny them a plausible excuse for rejecting Him, or pleading ignorance.

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand– then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now–and never to be equaled again. (Matt 24:15-21)

In this portion, the Lord backed up to pinpoint the beginning of the Great Tribulation, a time of judgment whose very name comes from here (translated in the NIV as great distress), one that will surpass anything the world has ever seen. The Prophet Daniel had written of a time in the future when the Temple would be desecrated by an event he called “the Abomination that causes Desolation” (Daniel 9:24-27) and the Lord was now informing them that this event would trigger the Great Tribulation.

Since Daniel’s time, something like it had only happened once. In 168 BC the Syrian Ruler Antiochus Epiphanes (the name means God made manifest), after muscling his way into Israel, seized the Temple and converted it to pagan worship. He erected a statue of Zeus in the Holy Place in his own likeness, requiring everyone to bow down before it on pain of death. The Jews called this desecration the Abomination that causes Desolation, borrowing language from Daniel 9:27. It so angered them that they rose up in arms against the Syrian invaders. The 3 1/2 year long Maccabean Revolt, as it was called, resulted in the Syrians’ expulsion from Israel and a Temple cleansing and re-dedication ceremony that’s still memorialized annually in the Feast of Chanukkah.

Today, students of the End Times see a frighteningly clear model of the Great Tribulation in the Maccabean Revolt, with a foreign invader calling himself God and demanding worship, a Temple desecration, and unbelievable persecution ending in a 3 1/2-year war of liberation. As we’ll see, that’s just what the Lord intended in mentioning Daniel’s Prophecy.

193 years after the Maccabean Revolt, Jesus spoke of the Abomination that causes Desolation as something still in the future. And a careful reading of his 70 weeks prophecy shows that Daniel placed it in the middle of the 70th week, long after both the Messiah’s arrival and rejection, and the destruction of the city and sanctuary. Since nothing like this has happened since the Lord gave His warning, it means that one day soon another foreign invader will muscle his way into Israel, calling himself God and demanding worship. There’ll be another Temple desecration, and more unbelievable persecution ending in another war of liberation, only this time the entire planet will be affected, not just Israel. According to Daniel, it will begin half way through the last 7 years of human history establishing its duration as 3 1/2 years just like it’s earlier model. In 2 Thes 2:4 Paul expanded Daniel’s account, connecting it to the antichrist at the End of the Age. These things confirm that the sacrilege that kicked off the Maccabean Revolt serves as a preview to help people recognize the sacrilege that will kick off the Great Tribulation. (See also Rev. 13:14-17)

There are three factors here that underscore the “Jewishness” of the Lord’s warning:

First there will be a desecration of their Temple, second the warning is given specifically to those in Judea, the region of Jerusalem in Israel, and third, there’s an admonition to pray that it won’t happen on the Sabbath, a day when Jewish law forbids traveling.

Clearly, the Lord was saying that there will be a nation of Jewish people observing His Law in Israel at the End of the Age and they will have rebuilt their Temple prior to His return.

If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. (Matt. 24:22-28)

The Great Tribulation is the most specifically documented span of time in all of Scripture. In one place we’re told it’s 3 1/2 years long (time, times and half a time; one year plus two years plus half a year as in Rev. 12:14), in another, 42 months (Rev. 11:2) and in still another, 1260 days (Rev.12:6). Use the original calendar for Earth, 12 months of 30 days each for a 360 day year, and you find all three measurements identical from a time standpoint. Moreover, there isn’t a single hint anywhere that it will be of a shorter duration. Most scholars who read the passage above literally, conclude that the phrase cut short means that for the sake of His elect the Lord will step in on the 1260th day and put an end to the warfare instead of letting it run to its logical conclusion; the destruction of every human on the planet.

“Immediately after the distress of those days, ” ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matt.24:29-31)

In bringing the Great Tribulation to an end, the Lord cause the Sun and Moon to be darkened. Then His sign will appear in the sky, and finally He Himself will come in power and glory just as He promised Caiaphas, the High Priest, at His trial 2000 years ago (Matt. 26:64). All the nations will mourn because His appearance rings the closing bell for the Age of Grace. Too late, the people of Earth will realize that He is just Who He’s always claimed to be, and they’ve missed their last chance at salvation.

At His signal, His angels will gather His elect (believers) from all over Heaven to return with Him to Earth to establish His Kingdom. This is one of two vague hints in the Olivet Discourse that there will be a body of believers in Heaven awaiting His 2nd coming. According to Mark’s account, believers on earth will also be summoned (Mark 13:27) to witness His triumphant return.

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matt. 24:32-36)

The fig tree is the last to bud, so when it does we know Summer’s almost here. Through His disciples, the Lord told the people on Earth at the End of the Age that when all these things begin to happen, it means the end is very near. Indeed, of the 6000-year history of Man, only 3 1/2 will remain.

The Greek word translated generation also means race and can be interpreted as the Lord’s promise that the Jewish race wouldn’t be extinguished before the End comes. And that’s remarkably true. The vicious and oft-repeated attempts to rid the world of Jewish people have all failed, and Israel has risen from the grave after a 2000-year absence to once again become the focus of world attention.

Yet there’s also a sense in which the Lord’s promise can be rendered, “I tell you the truth, the generation that sees the beginning of these signs will also see their culmination.” In other words, they will all be concluded during the lifetimes of those being born as they begin. There’s precedent for this too. All the prophecies concerning the Lord’s first visit were fulfilled within the lifespan of the generation into which He was born.

Please note that if this view is the correct one, as I believe it to be, the Lord didn’t promise that, once they begin, all End Times prophecies would be fulfilled before the next generation is born, but only that they would be fulfilled during the lifetimes of those being born at their commencement. A Biblical generation is nominally 40 years, but a lifetime is more like 70-80 years (Psalm 90:10). The folks who added 40 years to Israel’s 1948 rebirth and predicted the Rapture would happen in 1988 were off on two counts.

1) They should have added a lifetime, not the length of a biblical generation, and

2) It’s the 2nd Coming that will happen within a lifetime of the first signs. The Rapture could happen at any time prior to that.

If we’re still here next week, we’ll finish up this series and show you why those who are looking for signs of the Rapture of the Church in the Olivet Discourse are looking in the wrong place. Until then, if you listen closely, you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.

The End Times According to Jesus, PART 1
By Jack Kelley Wednesday June 16th, 2021
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Feb. 16th 2023

The Olivet Discourse is the name scholars have given a private prophecy briefing Jesus gave to Peter, James, John and Andrew on the Mount of Olives. It’s recorded in Matthew 24-25, Mark 13-14, and Luke 21.

John, while present at the briefing, did not include it in his gospel. John preferred to focus on the time Jesus spent with His disciples in the Upper Room on the night He was betrayed.

In reviewing the Olivet Discourse, we’ll rely mainly on Matthew’s account, it being the most detailed, adding excerpts from Mark and Luke where they add to or clarify the message. And we’ll try to stay as close to the Lord’s own words as possible to avoid reading any false conclusions into the passage.

As Matt. 24 opens, Jesus had left the Temple area and was headed for Bethany, where He and the disciples were staying at the home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. It was two days before the crucifixion.

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matt 24:1-3)

Based on His prediction that the Temple would soon be destroyed, the four disciples had three questions for the Lord.

When will this (Temple destruction) happen?
What will be the sign of your (2nd) coming?
What will be the sign of the coming of the End of the Age?
Before we go on, their mindset in asking these questions is critical to our understanding.

While the Jews were in Babylon during the 70-year captivity, the angel Gabriel had told Daniel that Israel would be given 490 years from the date they received authorization to rebuild Jerusalem to wrap everything up. (Daniel 9:24-27) 483 of those years had passed. The Temple had been under construction for nearly 40 years and wasn’t finished yet.

The disciples thought they were nearing the end of the age, and now Jesus tells them that everything will be torn down. There had never been any talk of a Church Age or a Rapture or of the disciples evangelizing the world. We know about all these things from hindsight, but they were probably in a state of great distress when they came to Him.

Even after the Resurrection they still didn’t understand. This is confirmed by the question they asked Jesus on the Mount of Olives after the resurrection. “Lord, are you now going to restore the Kingdom?” (Acts 1:6)

It wasn’t clear until James explained it 20 years later at the Council of Jerusalem. (Acts 15:13-18). He said the Lord was first going to take from among the Gentiles a people for Himself (the Church). After that He would turn again to Israel.

Back to our study.
In the Matthew account, the Lord ignored the first question and went straight to question 2. So for His answer to question 1, we’ll go to Luke 21 where it’s contained. Having begun like Matthew with an account of the End Times in verses 10-12, Luke backtracks to their first question in verses 12-24.

“But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. This will result in your being witnesses to them. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm, you will gain life.” (Luke 21:12-19)

Having told them what the rest of their lives would be like, and that their eternal destiny with Him was assured, the Lord finally answered their question about the Temple destruction.

“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:20-24)

In what appears to be poor advice, He told them to get out of town when they saw the city being surrounded by enemy troops, an event that took place nearly 40 years later. The objective of a besieging army was to trap everyone inside so the plight of starving women and children would have a discouraging influence on the leadership. Non-combatants were not allowed free passage through enemy lines for this reason.

But a strange thing happened in the siege of Jerusalem. After surrounding the city, the Roman army was suddenly told to abandon their position and prepare for an immediate departure to Rome. General Titus, who commanded the army, was the son of Vespasian, a man striving to become the Roman Emperor. Fearing he would need extra help in consolidating his power, Vespasian ordered Titus to bring the army home to assist. But before they could depart, another message arrived saying that all was in order and to resume the siege of Jerusalem.

For one week the siege lines had been abandoned. And during this time, Christians who heeded the Lord’s earlier warning escaped. Although 1.2 million Jews died in Rome’s defeat of Israel, according to the historian Josephus, not one Christian perished in the siege of Jerusalem. The Lord’s advice had been sound and even strategically clever.

Roman soldiers were paid from the valuables they confiscated in battle, and the Temple was a huge prize. Titus wanted to preserve it, which would have deprived the soldiers of a tremendous bonus. Defending the Temple entrance with his sword raised against his own troops, he watched helplessly as a flaming torch was thrown over his head into the Temple starting a fire.

The ensuing blaze generated such heat that the gold plating covering the wooden plank ceiling began to melt and run down the stone walls, seeping into the cracks between the stones. When the blaze was finally extinguished, the soldiers dismantled the ruined walls to get the gold. By the time they had finished, not one stone was left standing on another, graphically fulfilling the Lord’s prophecy to His disciples.

The Lord’s prophecy concerning the duration of Jerusalem’s captivity bears another look as well. Jerusalem either ceased to exist or was under Gentile authority from Roman times until June of 1967, when for the first time the Star of David flew over a unified city. This marked the end of Gentile Dominion, and a return to Israel as the focus of Biblical Prophecy, a clear sign that we’re fast approaching the End of the Age.

Now, let’s go back to Matthew 24 for the Lord’s answers to their other questions, picking up the narrative in verse 4.

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Matt 24:4-9)

The coming Church Age would be characterized by the appearance of false messiahs, conflict between nations, natural disasters, and famine. Luke adds pestilence and great signs from heaven to the mix (Luke 21:11), as does the King James Version of Matthew. The comparison to birth pains reveals that while these events would occur all through the Church Age, they would be more and more frequent and more intense as the end comes nearer.

Next time we’ll look at the clear signs marking the beginning and duration of the Great Tribulation. Until then, if you listen carefully, you can almost hear the Footsteps of the Messiah.

From Pastor Boyd - It plainly states in the Bible what will happen if you are obedient to God & the blessings you will have. It also states what will happen if your nation is not obedient to the Lord. Biden is planning to swarm the border with illegal aliens that would make the curses for disobedience come in to effect. It does not get any plainer than this.

Blessings for Obedience
28 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7 The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

Curses for Disobedience
15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:

16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.

17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.

18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.[a] 21 The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. 24 The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.

25 The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth. 26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. 28 The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. 29 At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

30 You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. 31 Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them. 32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. 33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. 34 The sights you see will drive you mad. 35 The Lord will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

36 The Lord will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone. 37 You will become a thing of horror, a byword and an object of ridicule among all the peoples where the Lord will drive you.

38 You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it. 39 You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them. 40 You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off. 41 You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity. 42 Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.

43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. 51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or olive oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. 52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you.

53 Because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. 54 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, 55 and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. 56 The most gentle and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot—will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter 57 the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For in her dire need she intends to eat them secretly because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of your cities.

58 If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God— 59 the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses. 60 He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you. 61 The Lord will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed. 62 You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the Lord your God. 63 Just as it pleased the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.

64 Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. 67 In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see. 68 The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

Are The Days of Noah Here?
By Nathele Graham

Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd

“Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things” (2 Timothy 2:7).

Science was, at one time, a highly respected profession. Today, it seems that the fine line between beneficial science and science fiction has faded.

I was appalled a few years ago to read of mad scientists genetically tampering with spider DNA and that of goats to make the goat milk laden with extremely strong fibers. That sounded like a very bad idea, but it was touted as beneficial because the fibers could be used for bulletproof windows in banks and bulletproof vests.

Mad scientists have genetically modified much of our food in order to “improve” it. Is it any wonder people have so many food allergies? These “scientists” have a way of always making these experiments sound beneficial, but it’s never beneficial to attempt to improve upon God’s creation. Actually, these “improvements” have nothing to do with God at all but are straight from the evil depths of Satan’s plan to destroy humanity.

Recently, I read about artificial wombs. This is just one more abdominal step in scientific “advances.” God made the perfect way for babies to be created and nurtured. Adam was created as a man. He had all the necessary physical attributes to father children. Then Eve was taken from Adam’s body, and her body was specially designed to carry new life.

“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20).

Humans cannot improve upon God’s creation. Throughout history, babies have been wonderful little people, and each one is unique.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalm 139:14).

There’s so much to wonder about when a woman becomes pregnant. “Will I have a boy or a girl?” The person growing inside the mother is either one or the other; it’s not a choice. “Will this child be tall or short, blue eyes or green, blond or brunette?” There’s so much to wonder about. Science has infringed upon that mystery. Now, tests can be done, and if you’re not happy with what science tells you about your baby, you can murder him or her. Never mind that what you killed was a human being or that the test may have been inaccurate. Never mind that God commands us not to kill.

“Thou shalt not kill” (Deuteronomy 5:17).

The word “kill” means a premeditated act against a human; murder. Let me say that all sins can be forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ. Once you’ve admitted you’ve sinned, repented, and humbly asked Him to forgive you, you are forgiven. Remember, though, repent means to turn away from. So, turn away from the sin of abortion, and ask Jesus to forgive you.

From 1973 through 2020, there have been more than 63,000,000 babies killed by abortion in the United States, which works out to 2,548 per day. This act is nothing less than the abominable act of human sacrifice. Is it any wonder that God has withdrawn His blessings on this nation?

When the Kingdom of Israel divided into the Northern Kingdom (known as Israel) and the Southern Kingdom (known as Judah), the Northern Kingdom, led by King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, turned their back on God almighty, they embraced paganism, including human sacrifice. God is opposed to all human sacrifice, including children.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer” (Deuteronomy 18:10-11).

“Pass through the fire” is describing the pagan practice of heating an idol until it was red hot, then putting your child in its arms to suffer an incredibly painful death. Don’t fool yourself; abortion rips a baby apart in a very painful death. There are many husbands and wives who are unable to have children; these people are willing to adopt a child. Instead of the murder of an innocent child, consider giving it up for adoption. By the way, the Northern Kingdom fell because of their turning against God.

On the other hand, mad scientists have come up with a new way to mock God. In an online article from The Economic Times entitled “World’s First Artificial Womb Facility is a Creepy Glimpse of Pregnancy in Future; See What it is,” we learn that a man named Hashem Al-Ghaili is a “science communicator and biotechnologist from Berlin” who invented “EctoLife.” This is an artificial womb that can grow around 30,000 babies per year. This abomination is the result of 50 years of research. The article proclaims, “You can use the ‘Elite Package,” which would let you engineer the embryo genetically before they implant it into an artificial womb. You can choose intelligence, height, strength, hair, eye color, etc., and avoid genetic diseases. Al-Ghaili says EctoLife is entirely powered by renewable energy and is the first artificial womb facility in the world.”

What a sad commentary on man’s abuse of God’s creation. Take a good look at yourself and try to figure out how different you would be if your parents had genetically altered you. I have plenty of imperfections, but it’s all a part of being me. You probably have some things you wish were different, but God doesn’t care if your hair is curly or straight or if your eyes are blue or brown. God is much more concerned that you’ve accepted Christ for salvation.

The above article also states, “The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that around 300,000 deaths happen due to pregnancy complications. EctoLife will help reduce human suffering and reduce C-sections. EctoLife will make C-sections and premature births history.” It says 300,000 deaths happen due to pregnancy complications but doesn’t seem to consider how many deaths happen because of abortion. As previously stated, the number is atrocious. This new wonder of modern science also takes away the joy of knowing a little human is growing inside and feeling the movement of life as that special little person begins to toss and turn.

Another online article, https://scienceandstuff.com/ectolife-artificial-wombs/ says this is still in the future, but they also say that, in 2017, “scientists” grew a lamb in a “biobag.” The article goes on to state that several lambs have been grown in a “biobag” and that Israeli “scientists have successfully grown mice embryos for 11 days. Now that’s something we all need; more mice. This is all very disturbing. Apparently, there is a process that must be followed in order to have your child grown in one of these EctoLife wombs. An egg of the mother and the sperm of the father are combined in a petri dish. “This would allow them to select only viable and genetically superior embryos.”

Is that scary? You bet it is. Sounds like something Hitler would endorse. “Al-Ghaili clarifies that genetically superior embryos are primarily those which are free from genetic issues that would result in miscarriage. However, he notes that the process could also be used to ‘screen for birth defects,’ as is already common practice in IVF treatments.” This sounds way too much like Hitler’s breeding program for a master race. Pure evil. The article proudly says that this also would allow parents to “genetically engineer the embryo before implanting it through CRISPR-Cas 9 gene editing.”

After reading about these things, any informed Christian should be reminded that the reason for God’s judgment of Noah’s flood was genetic tampering. Fallen angels mated with human women, creating the Nephilim.

“And it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” (Genesis 6:1-2).

The “sons of God” are the fallen angels, and “the daughters of men” are human women. Unfortunately, human interpretation led by Satanic influence has corrupted the meaning of this and opened wide the gate for more and more misunderstanding of Scripture. All of creation was infected with this genetic tampering and had to be destroyed in order to preserve God’s genetically pure creation. All things were genetically corrupted except Noah and his family.

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:8-9).

Take heed of this passage. Keep yourself genetically pure and walk with God. Satan has poisoned and blinded humanity into believing a watered-down and purely fictional account of Genesis 6. Jesus Himself told us that the end times would be like the days of Noah.

“As it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man” (Luke 17:26).

The thing that distinguishes Noah’s time from any other time is genetically created monstrosities. Are the days of Noah here? I think they are.

As humanity moves farther away from God’s truth, they move closer to Satan’s lies. Brothers and sisters, the evil in this world is growing stronger. All the while, Christians willingly remain ignorant. Instead of honestly studying Scripture and believing what God wrote, it’s treated as something akin to Aesop’s Fables.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

I cannot stress enough that Scripture is God’s inspired word, and it must be read and studied as fact. Satan has inspired many pastors and seminaries to treat Scripture as a nice way to live but not to be taken as truth.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Remember, you don’t need a diploma from a seminary in order to understand God’s word. You only need the Holy Spirit to lead you.

The Apostle Paul wrote letters to young pastors who needed guidance to continue preaching the pure word of God. In his letter to the young pastor, Timothy, he gave great advice that pastors of today would be smart to heed.

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:20-21).

Be alert as to what your pastor teaches from the pulpit. Does he babble on as he teaches from a worldly perspective? For example, does he preach a prosperity or purpose-driven gospel? Or any other non-Biblical teachings? Study Scripture so you will recognize false teachings. Is he afraid to call sin, sin for fear of stepping on toes? Is he lax in teaching line upon line through Scripture in order to avoid controversial or non-politically correct subjects, thus protecting the tax-exempt status?

“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little” (Isaiah 28:10).

Does he embrace science or “knowledge” that isn’t found in Scripture, such as evolution? If you’re sitting in a pew every Sunday listening to this nonsense, then you will never believe God’s word.

There’s a supernatural, paranormal, and unseen battle around us, and only Scripture will arm us for the battle. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians talks about the spiritual battle. This battle is manifesting all around us. Schools are no longer a place of learning but a place of indoctrination where perverted practices are accepted and applauded. They teach that a boy can choose to be a girl, and if you think you’re an animal, then you are one. Look into the mental disorder of furries, and you’ll be shocked. As evolution is taught as fact, we see the suicide rate increasing among young people. They don’t understand how much God loves them and what a blessing life is. The family unit is being mocked as same sex marriage is accepted as normal. Study Romans chapter 1 in order to see God’s judgment regarding rejecting Him as Creator. The battle is spiritual, and the weapons of war need to be spiritual.

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:11-12).

Learn each piece of God’s armor, and practice using it. This isn’t a joke, nor is it an allegory. Study Scripture, and don’t let denominational interpretations cloud your understanding of God’s truth.

We are nearing a time of God’s judgment. This time it will not be a worldwide flood, but His wrath will be violently poured out upon all who have rejected Him. This isn’t a secret, so nobody can claim ignorance. As you study Scripture, don’t skip Daniel’s prophecy regarding the end times, and don’t skip Revelation. The only way to avoid the evil of that day is to repent today and accept the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Everyone has sinned.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24).

Only born-again Christians are forgiven.

We are living in the final days prior to the Rapture and God’s final judgment upon the God-rejecting people who choose to follow Satan. The signs and prophecies are being fulfilled quickly. Understand Genesis 6 and the reasons for God’s judgment, and you’ll understand that we are living in the days of Noah. Jesus is our only hope. Be like Noah and walk with God. Remain genetically pure. Share God’s truth with everyone you know. Time is getting short.

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

Don’t live in fear, but walk in faith by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Stunning New Facts Come to Light About the Holocaust
by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 26th 2023

The latest revelation about the Holocaust stuns even the scholars who thought they already knew everything about the horrific details of Germany’s program of genocide against the Jewish people.

It’s taken more than 70 years to finally know the full facts about these Nazi monsters who had the Germans mesmerized by their hatred. What is almost beyond belief is that what really happened goes far beyond what anyone could ever have imagined in their wildest dreams.
For the longest time we have spoken of the tragedy of 6 million Jews going to the ovens of the concentration camps. It was a number that represented the closest approximation we could come to the victims of Hitler’s plan for a Final Solution, the extermination of the jewish people. Those who sought to diminish the tragedy claimed 6 million was a gross exaggeration. Others went further and denied the historicity of the Holocaust itself, absurdly claiming the Jews fabricated their extermination to gain sympathy for the Zionist cause.
Now we know the truth about that devilish time.
The reality was much worse than whatever we imagined.
The Real Holocaust Statistics
The unspeakable crime of the 20th century, more than the triumph of evil, was the sin of the “innocent” bystander.
It wasn’t just the huge killing centers whose very names – Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, Majdanek, Belzec, Ravensbruck, Sobibar, Treblinka – bring to mind the ghastly images by now so familiar to us. It wasn’t just the Warsaw ghetto that was torched with jews still in the buildings. It wasn’t just the famous sites we’ve all by now heard of that deservedly live on in everlasting infamy.
Researchers at United States Holocaust Memorial Museum have just released documentation that astounds even the most informed scholars steeped in the previously known statistics of German atrocities. Here is some of what has now been conclusively discovered:
There were more than 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps throughout Europe from 1933 to 1945.
There were 30,000 slave labor camps; 1,150 Jewish ghettos; 980 concentration camps; 1000 prisoner of war camps; 500 brothels filled with sex slaves; and thousands of other camps used for euthanizing the elderly and infirm, performing forced abortions, “Germanizing” prisoners or transporting victims to killing centers.
The best estimate using current information available is between 15 to 20 million people who died or were imprisoned in sites controlled by the Germans throughout the European continent were not only jews, but poles, czechs, hungarians, russians, french and german whose identity tied them to the jewish people.
Numbers Unbelievable
Simply put, in the words of Hartmut Berghoff, Director of the German Historical Institute in Washington, “The numbers are so much higher than what we originally thought; we knew before how horrible life in the camps and ghettos was, but the actual numbers are unbelievable.”
And what makes this revelation so important is that it forces us to acknowledge a crucial truth about the Holocaust that many people have tried to ignore or to minimize – a truth that has profound contemporary significance: The unspeakable crime of the 20th century, more than the triumph of evil, was the sin of the “innocent” bystander.
For years our efforts to understand the Holocaust focused on the perpetrators. We looked for explanations for the madness of Mengele, the obsessive hatred of some say a demon possessed Hitler, the impassive cruelty of Eichmann. We sought answers to how it was possible for the criminal elements, the sadists and the mentally unbalanced to achieve the kind of power that made the mass killings feasible.
That was because we had no idea of the real extent of the horror. With more than 42,000 ghettos and concentration camps scattered throughout the length and breadth of a supposedly civilized continent, there’s no longer any way to avoid the obvious conclusion. The cultured, the educated, the enlightened, the liberal minded, the refined, the sophisticated elitists, the urbane – all of them share in the shame of a world that lost its moral compass and willingly acceded to the victory of evil, the murder of millions of innocents. We just could not get a grasp on the extreme extent to which the devil had done his work.
Allies Did Not Have A Clue
“We had no idea what was happening” needs to be clearly identified as “the great lie” of the years of Nazi power. The harsh truth is that almost everyone had to know. The numbers negate the possibility for collective ignorance. Still the killings did not stop, the torture did not cease, the concentration camps were not closed, the crematoria continued their barbaric task, as the children of that time were bull dozed into obscurity.
The “decent” people were somehow able to rationalize their silence, but isn’t silence consent?
A Small Town Near Auschwitz
Just last year Mary Fulbrook, a distinguished scholar of German history, in the book “A Small Town Near Auschwitz” wrote a richly and painfully detailed examination of those Germans who, after the war, successfully cast themselves in the role of innocent bystanders who played it off that they were completely clueless to what was taking place. An excerpt from that book follows:
“The Silesian town of Bedzin lies a mere twenty-five miles from Auschwitz; through the linked ghettos of Bedzin and its neighbouring town, some 85,000 Jews passed on their way to slave labour or the gas chambers.
The principal civilian administrator of Bedzin, Udo Klausa, was a happily married family man. He was also responsible for implementing Nazi policies towards the Jews in his area - inhumane processes that were the precursors of genocide. Yet he later claimed, like so many other Germans after the war, that he had 'known nothing about it'; and that he had personally tried to save a Jew before he himself managed to leave for military service. A Small Town Near Auschwitz re-creates Udo Klausa's story. Using a wealth of personal letters, memoirs, testimonies, interviews and other sources, Mary Fulbrook pieces together his role in the unfolding stigmatization and degradation of the Jews under his authority lies, as well as the heroic attempts at resistance on the part of some of his victims. She also gives us a fascinating insight into the inner conflicts of a Nazi functionary who, throughout, considered himself a 'decent' man. And she explores the conflicting memories and evasions of his life after the war.
But the book is much more than a portrayal of an individual man. Udo Klausa's case is so important because it is in many ways so typical. Behind Klausa's story is the larger story of how countless local functionaries across the Third Reich facilitated the murderous plans of a relatively small number among the Nazi elite - and of how those plans could never have been realized, on the same scale, without the diligent cooperation of these generally very ordinary administrators. As Fulbrook shows, men like Klausa 'knew' and yet mostly suppressed this knowledge, performing their day jobs without apparent recognition of their own role in the system, or any sense of personal wrongdoing or remorse - either before or after 1945.
This account is no ordinary historical reconstruction. For Fulbrook did not discover Udo Klausa amongst the archives. She has known the Klausa family all her life. She had no inkling of her subject's true role in the Third Reich until a few years ago, a discovery that led directly to this inescapably personal professional history.” This take is a must read for holocaust investigators.
Now the Killing of the Christians
This same devilish entity that existed some 70 years ago is now loose in the Middle East. This insanity of beheadings, shootings, suicide bombings, the killing of masses of innocent Christians, and the bulldozing of the truth only means the world did not learn from history. Those that did not learn are bound to repeat it. Are we headed back to those very dangerous times when the devil was loose? You tell me…..

Matthew 24:5–8 gives us some important clues for discerning the approach of the end times: “Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters—these are signs of the end times. In this passage, though, we are given a warning: we are not to be deceived, because these events are only the beginning of birth pains; the end is still to come. - So then are all these things happening now and increasing? However, we are not in the Tribulation yet. The Bible says the Rapture will happen first as the restrainer the Holy Spirit is taken away along with believers to heaven. With the restrainer gone evil & lawlessness will wax worse and worse.

The Abomination of Desolation is referenced four times in the Scriptures, twice by the prophecy Daniel, two times by Jesus in the book of Matthew, once in the epistles and once in the Revelation. The first time it is mentioned in Daniel it is described as an end time event. The second time it is revealed as a key event and gives the number of days until the end of the world is given from the moment of its occurrence.

Jesus provides it as the main incident to look out for and warns the hearer to flee into the mountains upon witnessing or hearing of it. For immediately afterwards will be great tribulation such as the world has never known.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 a reference to the Antichrist in the Temple is made. It is the first place in Scripture where we are told specifically that the Antichrist directly sits in the Temple declaring that he is God. It states:
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. This starts the Great Tribulation. These are the signs to look for. Pastor Boyd

Prophecy & Future Cash Flow - The World Economic Saga
By Wilfred Hahn
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 22nd 2023

Over the past decade, a fractious geopolitical environment has come into view. Why? A number of reasons, but mainly because global economic growth has slumped. Major economic players are jostling for a greater share of world trade, water rights, and whatever else is valuable. They are threatening each other … also becoming more nationalistic. One needs no imagination to see the parallels in animal behavior. Consider the Australian spadefoot frog. When water is plentiful, all is fine and placid. However, once the water puddles begin to dry up, the tadpoles become cannibals … eating each other. It is similar with the hippopotamus. When they are enjoying marsh vegetation and deep rivers, they are mostly peaceful. However, once the waterways dry up, they become a heaving mass of ill-tempered creatures.

Given these unstable economic conditions, central bankers are desperately trying to solve the world’s economic problems. It has been over a decade since the traumatic Global Financial Crisis (GFC) struck the globe. Yet, they remain perplexed. Once the financial bloodbath of the GFC meltdown had been staunched, policymakers were optimistic that the worst was over. Soon would come a recovery period of growth and prosperity … or so they thought. However, to most everyone’s surprise, that was not the outcome. Policymakers discovered that they needed to continue pump-priming … meaning trying to stimulate economies in various degrees by suppressing interest rates and supporting bond markets.

What do we see a decade later? Even the U.S. Federal Reserve is worried about another economic downturn, and is again lowering its administered interest rates. More shocking is to observe European interest-rates dropping to new lows. Nay, they have dropped to the lowest negative rate level on record. Imagine that some $13 trillion of the world’s government bond market is priced for underwater yields. No doubt, most readers may be scratching their heads trying to imagine a negative interest yield. Were you to make a deposit, say, Euro 100, in a German bank, this institution would likely ask you to pay them a quarter of a percent or so just to hold your deposit for a year.

Does this all make sense? We will say, yes, though we originally were as surprised as everybody else when this condition first appeared. We say yes … but only because mankind has made some perverse choices. What is unfolding therefore is logical given the misleading perspectives and choices that are being adopted by humanity. We will explain further.

In the meantime, policymakers think they have a new solution—Modern Monetary Theory (or MMT). What is it? It is a group of aggressive monetary and budgetary measures. The only thing modern about this collective group of policies is the level of chicanery. In reality, MMT is just a new name … new wine put into old wineskins, so to speak. And, the outcome will also likely be the same as always … split wineskins.

But that is not to say that such policies do not have consequences or impact. They do. Very simply explained, MMT argues that as long as inflation rates are low and non-threatening, governments can run large budget deficits. The reasoning is that government debt can be perpetually forgiven (notionally at least) by having the central bank buy up the debt.

Such monetary policy is very similar to “money printing,” the difference being that the money is being spent by the government. Anything paid for by the proceeds of borrowed government money—even perhaps the lowering of personal taxes—will almost certainly boost spending. That will stimulate economic activity. After all, what government of elected representatives will not spend free money? Most households, too, will tend to spend their income-tax refunds. Therefore, these new MMT policies can achieve the appearance of success, at least for a period of time.

But, doesn’t all this debt-financed money—actually, money from thin air that will never be paid back—have any consequences? Yes, very definitely, there are critical consequences. And, that is where the chicanery comes home to roost. The longer-term consequences are ignored … not disclosed. Everything in this world has a consequence. God is not mocked. So says Galatians 6:7: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” So it is with monetary policy.

The most worrisome side-effect (consequence) of the MMT schemes is that it leads to a greater hoarding of wealth. The ultra-wealthy class will continue to become wealthier. Why? There are a number of links, but we will keep our explanations simple. Government deficits provide a profit boost to the corporate/business sector. Senior executives and stock owners therefore stand to benefit from gains. However, the vast majority of citizens do not have large stock holdings. They do not gain from this rise in stock prices. To the contrary, labor in general is squeezed in its share of national income.

As such, we can document that the rich are getting richer … in fact, there is an increase in the wealth of the super-rich. These individuals can become very powerful, pushing their interests with politicians and people that manage the capital markets. This leads to plutocracy. We would wager to say that America and other nations are well on the road to plutocracy. What is very interesting about these developments is that the Bible says these exact same conditions will become very pronounced in the last days. We will refer to the supporting Bible references in the conclusion.

The Imperative of Cash Flow

Just where do we find the sources of new wealth today?

The Bible says that the love of money is the source of all evil. In our modern day, we could rephrase this to “the love of future cash flow is the motivator of virtually all economic life … and evil.” Whether we consciously know it or not, most people will tend to direct their lives according to the sources and prospects for future cash flow.

While this is understandable, few people really grasp how powerful are the global forces behind future cash flow. Given the concentration of wealth that we see in the world today, there are very big players that muscle their way into new cash-flow channels.

Consider the most recent example of a tsunami-like cash flow eruption. It was the smartphone boom. It was enormous, to the point that just a few companies who exploited this trend now represent as much as 10% of the value of some countries’ stock markets. Trillions in worth was created. But, the hunt goes on: Where are the next cash-flow waves expected?

That’s the question that any business analyst or senior corporate executive must determine an answer to. Most analysts anticipate this will apply to the “Internet of Things” … namely, the global communications and information infrastructure. Companies providing network and internet communications systems stand to boom. They already have. As such, a brutal competition is under way. There are no rules. Why? The potential for value and wealth gains are so great … perhaps $100 trillion and more!

One contender in this competition is Huawei (a Chinese firm). It appeared to be headed to take the lead in this industry, cashing in on the “Internet of Things.” However, the stakes are so great, this company has been thwarted by Western nations who want to capture some of the anticipated cash flow themselves (particularly so the US).

Without a doubt, the potential of big money attracts diabolic-like and brutal forces. The World of Mammon is assuredly more ruthless than the illustrated instinct-driven behavior seen in nature’s battles for survival of the fittest. Many wars have been fought over opportunities for economic growth and future cash flows. Sadly, that is the history of mankind.

The Next Cash-Flow Surges

One prominent analyst with BlackRock (one of the world’s largest asset managers) makes a case for sources of future cash flow. Consider that, already, the value of the Internet today exceeds that of the entirety of global real estate. Furthermore, the Internet is expected to increase to a value of $550 trillion over the next decade, approximately 2.5 times the value of real estate.

Ponder this: Google today offers a lot of free services to its users. For example: free maps, free email, free web search. What would people pay for these services if they were no longer free? Particularly GPS services (geo-positioning system that uses maps) could be extremely valuable in a world of driverless cars and more Uber taxis. Other sources of potential future cash flows include water, property underneath major urban centers, and alternate energy sources. The “big money” in the world is positioning themselves for these potential cash flows.

What is notable about economic developments unfolding today is that changes are transmitted very rapidly. Information-intensive services face no shipping costs, nor large capital requirements. The penetration of these services or devices can be very rapid. It took a century of automobile manufacturing before there were enough autos and trucks registered equivalent to one per person. By contrast, the smartphone reached a 60% adoption rate in only little more than a decade. Indeed, as the end of the age approaches, change itself is accelerating. Suddenness is a mark of that era (see Zephaniah 1:14, 18).

Seeing the monumental narrowing of wealth ownership in the world today (with much larger heaps yet possible with future cash-flow surges) and more inventive monetary policies, can we connect these trends to the last days? After all, these are unprecedented trends of human choices about finances and economies. Our answer: Yes, this writer believes that there are too many parallels with Bible prophecy unfolding today for these to be the result of simple chance.

That said, we cannot (and should not) speak with any certainty as to specific timing of a specific prophecy. This is impossible, apart from recognizing a season. Moreover, the Bible warns us not to do so. “Do not go beyond what is written” (1 Corinthians 4:6).

However, collectively and seasonally, we do identify a world that is “ripening” for the final fulfillment of prophecy. (Please see the previous articles in our series on Ripening Times.) These trends are all unprecedented and are in alignment for a prophesied time where “[…] truth was thrown to the ground” (Daniel 8:12), and “deceit [caused] to prosper” (verse 25).

Thoughts to Ponder

Does the Bible anticipate and warn about an endtime boom in commercialism, materialism and greed?

Monetary corruption is being coordinated around the world as never before in human history. The Bible warns repeatedly about malfeasance. God expressly and often says that He “hates” dishonest scales. Numerous times this is expressed in the Bible.

Apostle James speaks of hoarding in the last days: “Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you […]. You have hoarded wealth in the last days” (James 5:1, 3).

Also, we see evidence of other dramatic economic distortions in the Book of Revelation. Consider Revelation 6:6: “[…] Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” This prophecy gives evidence of severe income and wealth imbalances.

In conclusion, MMT is just one of the stepping stones toward delusion and the final outcome of judgment that the Bible sees unfolding in the Tribulation period. In the meantime, earthly consequences will continue to worsen so long as the Lord tarries.

In this age where pursuit of “future cash flow” defines a frenzied world, the Bible has something to say to Christians:

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you’” (Hebrew 13:5). Maranatha

Why the Gaps in Prophecy?
by Jack Kelley
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 19th 2023

Scattered throughout the Scriptures are prophecies that contain references to both the First and Second Coming of the Lord in what appears to be a single thought. These dual reference prophecies could only be identified as such, after the First Coming had already taken place.

That’s because they were written in such a way that it was impossible to tell beforehand that the Lord’s First Coming would only partially fulfill them. Often the writers switch from the First Coming to the Second Coming in the middle of a sentence without so much as a punctuation mark to alert the reader.

In this study I want to share some thoughts on why I believe God had them written this way. But first, here are a couple of examples of these dual reference prophecies so you can see for yourself how cleverly they were written.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

When the Lord had Isaiah write this prophecy 750 years before the fact, no one could have known from reading it that when the Messiah came, He would only fulfill a portion of it. The child was born and the son was given, but the government has never been on His shoulders, and in Israel, to whom He was sent, He has never been called by the names Isaiah attributed to Him.

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times” (Micah 5:2).

This prophecy calls for a ruler of Israel to be born in Bethlehem but gives no indication that 2,000 years would pass between the Ruler’s birth and His ascension to the throne of Israel. When the Parthian priests called Magi arrived in Jerusalem, they asked, “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews?” (Matt. 2:2).

King Herod asked the Jewish leaders where the Messiah would be born, and they used this prophecy to confirm that He would be born in Bethlehem (Matt. 2:4-6). The Magi hastened there believing they were going to anoint a boy king who would grow up to rule over Israel. For his part, Herod had all the young boys in Bethlehem killed in an unsuccessful effort to eliminate what He perceived to be an imminent threat to his rulership. But while the coming king was born, He has yet to take His place on the throne in Israel.

The Secret Revealed
30 years later, it was Jesus himself who revealed the fact that there was more to these prophecies than meets the eye. Standing in the synagogue in Nazareth at the beginning of His ministry, he called for the scroll of Isaiah and read from what we know as Isaiah 61:1-2.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19).

Then He said He was the fulfillment of the Scripture He had just read. Comparing this to what Isaiah 61:1-2 actually says shows that He stopped before the end of verse 2, leaving out the phrase “and the day of vengeance of our God.”

Without the benefit of Luke 4:18-19, a reading of Isaiah 61:1-2 would lead us to the conclusion that the day of vengeance, what we now call end times judgments, would take place directly after the Lord had finished preaching the Good News, freeing the prisoners, giving sight to the blind and proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favor. By stopping where He did and saying that He was its fulfillment, He indicated He hadn’t come to fulfill the part He hadn’t read. There would be a separation of time between the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of His vengeance.

There are several other dual reference prophecies that we who already know about the first coming can identify. Perhaps the most obvious is Daniel 9:24-27, the 70 weeks prophecy, where if you didn’t already know that 2,000 years have passed since the fulfillment of the first 69 weeks of the prophecy (Daniel 9:24-26) without any fulfillment of the 70th week portion (Daniel 9:27) you wouldn’t be able to tell just by reading it, because there’s not even a hint of a gap between them in the text.

Why Didn’t You Say So?
But our purpose is not to identify all these prophecies. The question we want to answer this: Why did God hide this dual reference aspect of Messianic prophecy so completely that it could only be discovered after the fact? Knowing the end from the beginning, He knew that Jesus was only going to partially fulfill the prophecies that spoke of His coming, so why didn’t He have the prophets present them that way?

Some say He did it to provide “hidden” clues to the Church that He always knew about our time and place in history without alerting Israel to the fact ahead of time.

But as a result of some of my recent studies, I’ve concluded that God had these prophecies written in this particular way to show Israel that they could have been fulfilled just the way they were written. For generations, Israel had been reading and interpreting them to mean that the Messiah would come once and when He did He would fulfill all the prophecies written about Him. In fact it would have been impossible for them to interpret them any other way.

In the time leading up to the First Coming, Israel believed when the Messiah came He would vanquish their enemies and restore their kingdom, because that’s what these prophecies said He would do. In fact, even after spending three years with Jesus, the disciples still asked Him if the time had come for Him to restore the Kingdom to Israel (Acts 1:6). This tells us in all His time with them Jesus never mentioned an extended period of time during which Israel would be set aside while His attention would be focused on the Gentiles.

By the way, I think His uncharacteristically vague response to their question is a hint that restoring the Kingdom to Israel at that time was still a possibility. They had just presented Him with a perfect opportunity to lay everything out clearly to better prepare them for the years ahead. But instead, He left them hanging: “It’s not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority” (Acts 1:7). To me that indicates the offer of the Kingdom to Israel was still open.

They didn’t know for certain that Israel was being set aside in favor of the Gentiles until 20 years later when James told them (Acts 15:13-18) and even then they didn’t know for how long. James only said that when the Lord had taken (carried away) a people for Himself from among the Gentiles He would turn back to Israel again. In other words, He would resume His focus on Israel after the Rapture of the Church.

It Could Have Happened Just That Way
The dual reference prophecies were written in a way that would have made the total fulfillment possible at the time of the First Coming. Had Israel accepted Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and let Him die for them, the six objectives laid out by the angel in Daniel 9:24could have been met within the prescribed 490 year period.

Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and your Holy City to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most Holy Place (Daniel 9:24).

Sitting upon His heavenly throne, God decreed that six things would be accomplished for Daniel’s people (Israel) and Daniel’s Holy City (Jerusalem) during a specified period of 490 years.

We should be aware that in Hebrew these things read a little differently. Literally, God had determined to:

1. Restrict or restrain the transgression (also translated rebellion).
2. Seal up their sins (as if putting them away in a sealed container).
3. Make atonement (restitution) for their iniquity.
4. Bring them into a state of everlasting righteousness.
5. Seal up (same word as #2) vision and prophecy.
6. Anoint (consecrate) the most Holy Place (sanctuary).

In plain language, God would put an end to their rebellion against Him, put away their sins and pay the penalties they had accrued; bring the people into a state of perpetual righteousness, fulfill the remaining prophecies, and anoint the Temple. This was to be accomplished through their Messiah (Jesus) because no one else could do it. Had they accepted Him as their savior their rebellion against God would have ended. Their sins would have all been forgiven, and the full penalty paid for them.

They would have entered into a state of eternal righteousness, all their prophecies would have been fulfilled and the rebuilt temple would have been consecrated. It should be noted here that although it appears to have been accepted by Him, God never dwelt in the 2nd Temple, nor was the ark of the covenant and its mercy seat ever present therein.

Make no mistake about it. Jesus had to die so these 6 promises could come true. No one else in Heaven or on Earth could accomplish this. We can only imagine how different things would have been if they had accepted Him as their Messiah and let Him die for their sins so He could bring them into everlasting righteousness with His resurrection.

The Sign of the Prophet Jonah
And even though the religious leaders had fought Jesus tooth and nail throughout His ministry, He gave them one more chance by offering the clearest and most convincing sign possible. He promised that when they put Him to death He would come back to life three days later (Matt. 12:38-40). Since they wouldn’t know if He fulfilled this promise until after the fact, He determined to wait for them to recognize that He had. I believe this is why He stayed around for 40 days after the resurrection.

Even though there were over 500 witnesses who could attest to having seen Him after the resurrection (1 Cor. 15:6), there’s no indication that any official inquiry was undertaken to confirm that He had fulfilled His promise to return from the dead. Finally He left, but only until they admit their guilt (Hosea 5:15); as soon as they do He will forgive them (Joel 3:21) and restore their kingdom as He always intended to do.

In the mean time the Church was born into the gaps in these prophecies. Not as an alternative fulfillment like the replacement theologians would have you believe, but as a parallel track. When time stopped for Israel, it began for the Church, and when it ends for the Church it will begin again for Israel.

“This is what the Lord says: ‘Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,’ declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 31:37) . Maranatha

World Economic Control Prophesied Part 1
By Wilfred Hahn
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 16th 2023

Vladimir Lenin, the one-time head of Soviet Russia, was quoted as saying: “There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.” Breathtakingly, an acceleration of that magnitude appears to have unfolded in the early months of 2020.

No sooner did the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe that a new future for the world seemed to have already been well pre-planned. One cannot be blamed for thinking that a cadre of policymakers around the world had been waiting for the next crisis.

Crises, whatever their kind, act as catalysts in human affairs. Panicked fears and societal uncertainties serve as an impetus for new and unorthodox policy decisions by political leaders and policymakers. Of course, many of these are well-meaning but also may have deleterious consequences.

However, one does not need to invoke far-fetched conspiracy theories to explain why crises come about … how they are triggered, and how they prey upon common and predictable human behaviors. In this respect, crises are a normal feature of mankind’s societies; they have been the constant companion of human existence.

Crucially, however, there is one conspiracy of cosmological dimensions that has been playing out over many generations of humans. It is a conspiracy that requires no speculation, being clearly mentioned in the Bible.

“A master of intrigue will arise” (Daniel 8:23). He will “[…] take his stand against the Prince of princes” (verse 25). The power behind him is Satan himself. Also, Psalm 2:1-2 reveals that all the world’s rulers will take a stand against God at that time. A hierarchy of evil and dark forces work in unison and coordination to that goal (Ephesians 6:12).

Conveniently, crises can serve as a clandestine cover under which to push forward a long-term agenda against God. For example, mankind is very vulnerable to fear and greed. Satan knows this very well. He, therefore, surely loves hyperactive financial markets around the world. He ruthlessly uses these human penchants and weaknesses to his advantage.

It is, therefore, reasonable to accept that crises and their attendant human responses of fear and panic do play into the glove of those who have an agenda to advance. They can seize the opportunity of a populace that is willing to compromise or accept a loss of freedom for the sake of security and prosperity.

These trade-offs lead down a very treacherous road … one that is well-documented throughout history and also in the Bible, as we will show. Why? Because such changes and trends borne of crises are usually cumulative and not easily reversed.

Consider the advances of science and technology. These are always a step leading forward, never to be reversed or lost. It is similar with policymaking in respect to human rights, centralization of power, globalism, censorship, central banking, etc. These humanist advances are often one-way developments: give an inch, and when a facilitating crisis arrives, then take a mile.

An undeniable trait of history is that a genuine crisis—whether health-related, economic, of public safety and/or civic order—always and everywhere enhances the powers of top-down, authoritarian leadership.

Without a doubt, these types of nefarious shifts are being witnessed in bright lights around the world today. In fact, this writer would even state that these “ripening” trends have accelerated as perhaps never before in recent years … now kicked into supersonic speed following the latest global crises.

Consider that Freedom House, even before 2020 ever arrived, had already counted 14 consecutive years of declining freedom worldwide.[1] Looking ahead, it would not be surprising to observe this trend to be in further freefall.

We live in an age where globalization has progressed rapidly (though possibly experiencing an ebb for a while); a global brotherhood of man through the common interests of commerce, speaking as if with one language and objective.

The rebellious unification of world rulers and elites against God and His Son Jesus Christ is already far advanced.

Essential to this agenda is a final financial entrapment of all mankind to force all to worship the Antichrist. Economic captivity, therefore, plays a key role in the last days. A diabolical trapper has been setting in place an endtime money snare.

How did the world get to this late date … this rendezvous with History? It required a lot of planning and plotting … forward steps followed by backward steps, then again forward.

The end goal is to entirely entrap humanity, allowing him fewer and fewer options. Ultimately, a stern world ruler (Daniel 8:23) will be revealed, forcing humanity to comply with his agenda of rebellion.

As already mentioned, it is a plot to which the Bible testifies. In fact, right from the first Book of Genesis, an endtime program of enslavement of mankind is foreshadowed.

In the Beginning, a Blueprint

Bible scholars say that the entirety of Scripture is enfolded in its first book. As such, one will also discover that much prophecy is foreshadowed in the Book of Genesis.

Consider the Biblical account of Joseph, seen as a wondrous story. However, in our interpretation, it provides a surprising endtime conspiratorial blueprint, which is urgently germane to our day.

Readers will surely be shocked to learn that the story of Joseph would offer just such a perspective. After all, wasn’t the story of Joseph about the remarkable rise of a young man who had been sold by his brothers to Midianite traders traveling to Egypt? Starting out as a slave, he eventually rose to the very top of that era’s geopolitical echelon as a chief regent of Pharaoh. Egypt at that time was the most powerful country in the world.

How did Joseph come to this position?

While Joseph was in prison in Egypt (after being falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife), Pharaoh experienced a vision of seven “fat and sleek” cows coming out of the Nile. These were followed by seven ugly and lean cows, who then ate up the seven fat cows. He was perplexed. He then saw a second vision, which repeated the message of the first. Only this time, it was seven full heads of seeds, followed by seven heads that had been withered and scorched.

However, Pharaoh and his entourage were not able to decipher the meaning of these dreams. And so, Joseph was called out of prison to interpret the meaning of the vision, as he had done before for his two jail-cell companions. He told Pharaoh that the visions revealed God’s plan to allow seven years of abundance in Egypt, to be followed by seven years of famine.

God had enabled Joseph to interpret Pharaoh’s dream, as well as recommend a public works program. In response, Pharaoh appointed Joseph to prepare the nation for a seven-year drought. He was put in charge of the entire kingdom.

Just as Joseph had said, seven years of abundance did occur, which were followed by seven years of famine. While other lands had no grain, in the whole land of Egypt there was plenty of food.

It then becomes a very heart-rending story. It reveals what humanity will do in order to quell the pangs of hunger … to be saved from a crisis of whatever kind. In desperate times, having little choice, people will strike bad deals … ceding freedoms and increasing their vulnerability to rich despots and totalitarian regimes.

Fourteen years later, the entire commercial and societal structure of the known world at that time, as well as almost all the land in Egypt, came under the control of one man—Pharaoh—due to Joseph’s management. Pharaoh ended up becoming an all-powerful, economic potentate. Such was the case in Egypt almost 4,000 years ago, when Joseph reigned as vice-regent.

How did this happen? A more detailed examination of this account reveals many levels of prophetic foreshadowing, these serving to provide endtime warnings for the world and Christians living today.

A Sometime Misinterpreted Story?

The Bible story of Joseph, one of the 12 sons of Jacob, is a popular favorite of children and adults alike. Not only does it celebrate the ultimate blessings that accrued to a righteous man, but it also shows how God can miraculously enter into the seemingly unfortunate occurrences of our lives and ultimately work them out for good (Romans 8:28).

However, now with new eyes, the account of Joseph’s deeds raises many questions.

Joseph began the operation of stockpiling the harvested grain of the seven fat years. According to the original edict (Genesis 41:34-35), Joseph and his commissioners were to take one-fifth of the harvest and store the grain inside the cities. Joseph did not pay for the excess grain; he collected one-fifth as a tax.

During the seven bountiful years, the stockpiles eventually became so large that he was no longer able to keep an account of their size (v. 49).

Then, as was prophesied, “The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end” (v. 53).

When Egypt and other lands “began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, ‘Go to Joseph and do what he tells you'” (v. 55). And they did so.

Then “Joseph opened the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians” (v. 56).

Scripture tells us that, receiving payment, Joseph collected all the money that was found in Egypt and Canaan. Again, we note that Joseph collected ALL of the money in these lands as payment. Joseph took every last penny in return for grain so that people might eat and be saved from the famine.

What was the result? Joseph then controlled all payment specie. He deposited all of this money into Pharaoh’s coffers. Maranatha

Unprecedented
By Daymond Duck
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 8th 2022

On Jan. 2, 2023, 24-year-old Buffalo Bills Safety, Damar Hamlin, routinely tackled an opposing player for the Cincinnati Bengals. Hamlin stood up and then fell backward on the turf.

Hamlin’s heart had stopped. CPR was administered for 9 minutes; his heartbeat resumed, and he was put in an ambulance and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical center for evaluation and treatment.

Fans and players were shocked and praying, and in an unprecedented move, the NFL Monday night football game was indefinitely suspended and ultimately postponed.

The next day, it was reported that highly acclaimed internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, who agreed that Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest, said, “If Hamlin indeed took one of the COVID-19 vaccines, then subclinical vaccine-induced myocarditis must be considered in the differential diagnosis.”

The fact that all the Buffalo Bills players had been vaccinated for Covid was admitted by someone who said he knows it for a fact but asked that his identity not be disclosed.

McCullough has often warned that Covid-19 gene therapy vaccinations are causing a dramatic increase in heart damage and the death of young people.

It is now an established fact that hundreds, perhaps 1-2 thousand, athletes have collapsed and died from heart problems, blood clots, etc. in the last 2-3 years.

Insurance companies are reporting an increase in death rates, and morticians are reporting massive blood clots in the deceased.

Some authorities even believe mRNA gene therapy vaccinations are part of a plan to reduce the population of the earth, and the situation is much worse than reported.

Many Bible prophecy teachers know that the end of the age will be characterized by an unprecedented convergence of the signs, unprecedented increase in knowledge and travel, unprecedented increase in deceit and pestilence, an unprecedented call for a global government, etc.

In her Winter 2023 Newsletter, Jan Markell (Olive Tree Ministries) said, “Pew Research just released a report that found among all U.S. adults, 39% say the ‘end times’ are now. That includes 47% of all Christians, which, in turn, included 55% of Protestants, 63% of evangelicals, 31% of mainline church members and 76% of historically black church memberships.”

Markell made it clear that the poll was about the Second Coming not the Rapture (which will take place a minimum of 7 years before the Second Coming).

If the poll is right (and I do not doubt it), the number of Christians that believe the end of the age is here is growing and unprecedented.

Everyone needs to be Rapture Ready (see how at the end of this article).

Here are more events that confirm it.

One, concerning depopulation and the decline of America: Catherine Austin Fitts, Publisher of the Solari Report and former Assistant U.S. Sec of Housing under Bush 41, made some interesting statements in an interview posted by Greg Hunter on Dec. 20, 2022.

Hunter reported that Fitts said (in my words for the sake of brevity and to get what I think are the most important points):

The U.S. is so fraudulent that it will self-destruct much sooner than later.
My question is how much of the money sent to Ukraine is coming back to the U.S.
There is a machine in control of a spending machine that is financed with our taxes and debt that is borrowed in our name. (My comment: Fitts did not say it, but I think she is talking about the so-called Deep State or Shadow Government.)
That machine is implementing a depopulation plan to balance the books, and changing the president will not change what the machine is doing.
If the machine does not fail you in 2023, it will fail you in 2024.
The Covid injections are a bioweapon that is part of the machine’s depopulation plan.

Two, on Dec. 31, 2022, New York became the sixth state (behind Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Vermont, and California) to legalize composting of deceased human bodies.

The environmentally conscious in those states can now treat the body of a loved one as a disposable commodity, have it composted, and used in a conservation project (spread in their garden, yard, under their trees, etc.).

Three, when asked about His Second Coming, Jesus said when the abomination of desolation (the Antichrist or a statue of the Antichrist), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stands in Holy Place (in the rebuilt Temple at the middle of the Tribulation Period), the Jews in Judaea should flee into the mountains (a place prepared by God where they will be supernaturally protected, fed and watered for 3 ½ years; Matt. 24:15-16; Rev. 12:6).

Jesus did not name the mountains, but many prophecy teachers think He was talking about the ancient city of Petra in the mountains of Jordan.

On Dec. 28, 2022, it was reported that Petra was flooded by 3.1 inches of rain the day after Christmas; 1,700 tourists were evacuated, and it was closed for one day.

Video posted by Watchersnews.com shows flood water, a road, a vehicle, and people at Petra.

I seem to remember that there is now a road to Petra and utilities to accommodate the many visitors.

Put another way, if that is the place preparations have been made for lots of people, the Jews can get there, and if they need food and water, God can send it.

It will be neat if the food is manna from heaven.

Here is a link to the article and videos.

Four, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: an Israeli attack on Iran is not the Battle of Gog and Magog, but Iran said she will counterattack if Israel attacks her.

Moreover, Russia and Turkey have warned Israel not to attack Iran.

If Russia, Turkey, and others joined Iran in a counterattack, that would be the Battle of Gog and Magog and an undeniable sign that the world is in the latter years and latter days (Ezek. 38:8, 16).

On Dec. 28, 2022, it was reported that Israel has improved its preparations and readiness for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

On Dec. 29, 2022, Benjamin Netanyahu was sworn in as the new Prime Min. of Israel.

Netanyahu has appointed a man to lead Israel’s National Security Council that has repeatedly threatened to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities if the U.S. does not secure a deal to stop Iran’s development of nuclear weapons.

As of Sept. 2022, U.S. Pres. Biden has given up on getting Iran to stop.

(Note: The UN, the U.S., the EU, the WEF, the PA, and others are already expressing their disapproval of Netanyahu’s new government and trying to move it to the left. The Bible tells us Israel will be hated at the end of the age, and, at some point, Bible prophecy says war will break out, God will use it to fulfill His Word, and Israel cannot be defeated.)

Five, concerning the days of Lot and immorality: the Knesset in Netanyahu’s government elected an openly gay man to be the Speaker of the Knesset (the first openly gay person to hold that position in Israel).

Six, concerning the days of Lot and immorality: on Dec. 31, 2022, Elon Musk’s Twitter reinstated The Christian Post after 9 months of censorship for telling the truth (calling Pres. Biden’s Sec. of Health, Rachel Levine, a man).

Levine is the father of two boys, a biological male who divorced his wife, let his hair grow long, started wearing a bra and identifying as a woman, but the former Twitter owners said the Post committed “hateful conduct” by calling him a man.

After Musk reinstated The Christian Post, its editors said they are a Christian publication, their primary responsibility is to God, and they will continue to report biblical truth to the best of their abilities.

Seven, concerning global warming and electric vehicles: on Dec. 28, 2022, it was reported that New York City has 2,100 trucks that run on diesel fuel and can be fitted with plows in the winter and used to clear snow.

The city also has 6,000 garbage trucks that run on gas that they would like to convert to electric vehicles, equip them with plows, and use for clearing snow.

They recently learned that trucks that are converted to electricity are not powerful enough, they do not do an acceptable job, they only run about 4 hours, and the equipment and space to charge thousands of vehicles every 4 hours would be extremely expensive.

Some of their officials have concluded that it may be feasible to convert the trucks in the future, but it is not feasible now.

Eight, concerning the days of Noah and wickedness: on Dec. 29, 2022, it was reported that looting and stealing from stores in San Francisco, Cal. is costing businesses almost $100 billion per year, and government officials are doing nothing to stop it.

Nine, concerning Netanyahu’s new government and the Temple Mount: on Jan. 3, 2023, with the approval of Prime Min. Netanyahu, his new National Security Minister became the first sitting minister to ascend the Temple Mount in 5 years.

During his visit, he said, “The Temple Mount is open for everyone, also Jews.”

The Palestinian Authority (PA) condemned the visit, but many Jews praised it.

(More: condemnation by world leaders of the visit and Netanyahu’s government was fast and furious, but as of this writing, there has been no violence.)

Ten, concerning world government: the World Economic Forum (WEF) will begin a series of meetings on Jan. 18, 2023, to focus on countering misinformation (an undefined topic that means silencing anyone that disagrees with their agenda, criticizing Covid-19 vaccinations, criticizing their antichrist globalist government and religion, etc.).

(Note: It is time to face the fact that world leaders are deliberately transitioning (taking incremental steps) the nations toward a world government (New World Order; The Great Reset) by 2030 or sooner, and pre-Trib Rapture teachers believe the Rapture is before the Tribulation Period. Those that are left behind will regret it.)

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. Rampant Lying and Stealing
by Wilfred Hahn
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Jan. 2nd 2023

In June 2007, EVR published a two-part article series entitled Flying Scrolls and Baskets: A Vision of Today. It is an exposition of Zechariah 5. Amazingly, this short chapter of only 11 verses, contains two separate but important visions of the endtimes. Readers may recall the account of a giant scroll that is levitating in the air (verses 1 to 4). Right after this, the angel speaking to Zechariah shows him another vision. We then see a strange picture of an ephah (measuring basket) being carried by two women with the wings of storks.

We concluded that the false witness (lying) and the stealing being mentioned specifically had to do with the global idolatrous commercialism and corruption of all human life on earth of the last days, depicted in the second vision. Pinpointed were the two sins that are mainly responsible for the filthy idolatry that was shown in the flying ephah—lying and stealing.

Encompassed in these visions, by implication, was everything from the elevation of manipulative and global monetary systems, fiat money, capitalism, competitive globalism based on the vested interest of intertwined world-wide trading systems, accounting shenanigans, corporatism and debt-based wealth to grand larceny All together it represents that heaving mass of Mammonism—a world that has chosen Money over God.

According to the visions, the corrosiveness and imbalances of these systems literally consumed “the timber thereof and the stones thereof” (Zechariah 5:4), this symbolizing the structure of mankind’s globalized foundation. For such systems to prosper—prospering here meaning nothing more than giving the semblance of success, though its underpinnings are deceitful and not sustainable—they depend upon two impulses alone. What are these? To no surprise, the very two sins of stealing and false witness. We invite you to read the entire two-part article which can be found on our website.

We again raise the issues of “lying and stealing” as these continue to become more organized, sophisticated and globalized than ever before in history. Again, this trend we interpret to be aligned with the prophesied conditions that Zechariah foresaw. We next list just a few statistics from around the globe that are emblematic of this state.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA, and we here quote from a Special Report of the Bank Credit Analyst dated May 24, 2011) margins of overseas business have swung up relatively suddenly. Between 2000 and 2008, profit margins of overseas management companies (most of these just a mail drop on a sub-tropical island somewhere) rose from 25.8% to 57%. These very same management companies only accounted for 0.1% of total overseas revenues! Alternatively, segmenting overseas profits by country, we discover that profit margins in “Other Western Hemisphere” exploded from 37% to 103.7%. That category is a catch-all that includes most tax havens. We are not sure how a profit margin can be greater than 100%. But apparently, this is now possible in the corrupt and weird world of multi-national corporation profits.

The 2005 UNODC World Drug Report estimated the worldwide drug trade at $320 billion.
A 2009 study showed that 18 out of 20 psychiatrists who wrote the American Psychiatric Association’s most recent clinical guidelines for treating depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia had financial ties to drug companies. Not surprisingly, in 2008, with over $14 billion in sales, antipsychotic became the single top-selling therapeutic class of prescription drugs in the United States. – Aljazeera.net, July 12, 2011

In the United States, UNODC estimates that smugglers are paid around $7 billion to bring 2.7 million Latin Americans over the border every year. Though it would seem as though this equates to a $7 billion outflow from developing countries, in fact this amount is more than made up in the $20 billion in remittances which migrants send back to Latin America every year.

In 2005, TRAFFIC Europe estimated that the total legal trade in wildlife (not including fish and timber which are discussed in separate sections of this report) was worth $22.8 billion. Illegal trade is estimated to be around one-third of the legal trade which would set it at a range between $7.6 and $8.3 billion.

In January 2011, approximately 300 economists signed a letter urging the American Economic Association, (AEA) the world’s largest association of economists, to adopt an ethics code. The letter cited a study that found that the vast majority of economists did not reveal their private affiliations when writing academic papers on financial regulatory reform or opinion pieces in newspapers. It also cited a Reuters investigation of lack of disclosure of consulting gigs and directorships in congressional testimony. Only a handful of its 18,000 members have bothered to offer any input. – Reuters, July 8, 2011

The companies whose brands are copied measure counterfeiting according to how much they lose as a result of the practice. In his book, Illicit: How Smugglers, Traffickers, and Copycats are Hijacking the Global Economy, Moisés Naím cites an Interpol figure that estimates global commercial losses due to counterfeiting at around $500 billion.

The most recent report by Global Financial Integrity (GFI) report Illicit Financial Flows from Developing Countries, found that illicit outflows have increased to a range of US$1.26 trillion to US$1.44 trillion in 2008 and that, on average, developing countries lost between US$725 billion to US$810 billion per year over the nine-year period 2000-2008. Illicit flows increased in current dollar terms by 18.0 percent per annum from US$369.3 billion at the start of the decade to US$1.26 trillion in 2008. When adjusted for inflation, the real growth of such outflows was 12.7 percent.

Alluring and Tantalizing: Superhumanism Rising
By Wilfred Hahn
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Dec. 23rd 2022

While the entire world was totally subsumed with the Covid-19 pandemic, it is likely oblivious to the continuing advance of one of the most identifiable characteristics of an endtime world—Superhumanism. We will explain further.

For now, most people are feeling bewildered, dazed and confused. They are focusing on the shrill news reporting of the here and now. Therefore, the long-term trends that define the future world will not be discernible to them. And that is not surprising, as it plays into the hands of policymakers and global elites, who will tend to regard crises opportunistically.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that various news media, the world over, well know how to boost their profits. For the most part, the success of the news media is dependent on viewership. The more eyeballs and ears that they attract, the higher the advertising rates … the greater the revenues.

Therefore, it is no surprise that in a Mammon-driven world, people’s emotions of fear will be preyed upon. Deliberate fear-mongering and over-hyped speculation become rampant.

Wherever one looks, there are worrisome reports and speculations about Covid-19 and other developments. One cannot escape without unplugging the TV and the internet.

However, one future outcome (among others) can be assured: Mankind will eventually overcome Covid-19. In fact, the worst may be already behind us.

Surely, such a view will sound speculative but not unfounded.

Modern Man has already overcome or controlled some of the world’s most virulent plagues. Consider smallpox. It was a persistent disease for centuries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It killed 3 out of 10 people who were infected. As of the 1500s, tragically, it killed as much as 90% of the indigenous populations in the New World.

Epidemiology, of course, didn’t come into its own until centuries later. More recently, in 1980, the World Health Organization (WHO) finally announced that smallpox had been completely eradicated from the earth.

There have been other major successes. The near eradication of polio is one such milestone this past century. Other killer diseases, while not eliminated entirely, have been controlled … i.e., cholera, Ebola, SARs. As such, our optimism will not be misplaced.

However, there is one aspect of the Covid-19 pandemic that is new: While Covid-19 is not among the greatest killer plagues in the annals of human history, it probably has had the greatest psychological impact upon humanity of all. Its psychological footprint is global, spreading fears to the four corners of the globe.

Even more significant is this: Never in world history has attention been so centered on the financial and economic aspects of a pandemic.

Fears of economic collapse … imploding stock markets … bankruptcies of airlines … etc. have been grave concerns among policymakers. Never have the economic aspects of a pandemic been so intensively analyzed and fought over.

Governments around the world pumped funds into financial markets and economies to provide income support to households … as well as stock markets. It is estimated that worldwide, more than $11 trillion in aid has been made available in various ways. How much is that? It would be equivalent to 13% of the size of the entire world economy … a gargantuan amount beyond comprehension. But that is not all: The four major central banks also pumped in over $10 trillion globally in 2020.

The result? Though economic challenges are far from over, a considerable portion of the economic impact has been reversed. That, of course, will be seen as a success.

A New World Emerges from Quarantine

Now, as the world begins to emerge from quarantines and lockdowns, what do we see? Success is in grasp. As is well known, “Success has many fathers.” There will be much to brag about for policymakers. Not only has a new virus been controlled, with death tolls now declining rapidly, but also economies are starting to surge. Already, there is a shortage of global shipping containers.

Most remarkable of all? Stock market and house prices in many regions are at new highs. Consider this statement again: The world emerges from the enormous losses of the Covid-19 pandemic, and financial markets are at all-time high levels.

How could this be? Actually, it is not surprising. We wrote an article on this exact same phenomenon in this column titled, “The Coming Glee of Great Catastrophe” (February 2006; available at eternalvalue.com). It showed the tremendous resourcefulness of a Mammon-commandeered world that will always find a way to spin a positive and prosperous story for financial markets.

All the apparent problems of the world today—for example, global aging, collapse of fertility, over-indebtedness … etc.—have contributed to booming financial markets and not crashes as most have feared. We must not forget that God sends strong delusion upon the world in the last days. Humankind loves delusion if it leads to an appearance of prosperity (real or not). We definitely are witnessing this phenomenon today.

In this vein, another claimed father of success will be the new monetary tools employed. The new policies borne of the popularized Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) will win accolades from policymakers. Surely, MPT will be relied upon to generate prosperity in the future as well … at least until it has become overly implemented.

In the meantime, the world will become prouder.

In fact, mankind will even come to appear invincible.

The world will have survived the pandemic. It now intends to “build back better” … as it sees fit.

Pride of Achievement

The Bible says that pride precedes the fall (Proverbs 16:18). Indeed, the fall will surely come. But, we think, not quite yet. Why? Superhumanism has yet to ripen fully.

In recent times, we have been writing about Ripening Trends upon the earth (9 of these covered here to date). To us, they together provide a strong indication of the approaching Tribulation period. While the times cannot be accurately forecasted, we surely can recognize the “season” of the times.

Superhumanism is in sympathy with all of these Ripening Trends that we have reviewed to date. It will be the successes and pride of Superhumanism that will eventually lead to the demise of mankind. God Himself will intervene … in wrath.

However, until that time is reached, the successes that give rise to Superhumanism can be expected to lure the inhabitants of the world.

Herein lies the danger to all … and perhaps, most of all, to Christians. A world that makes it appear as if it is overcoming all its problems and producing ever-rising prosperity and financial wealth will attract many devotees. With trends that go so swimmingly, why be shackled by God and His laws and promises (Psalm 2:1-5)? Superhumanism will lure humans like flypaper to flies. Satan very well knows what humans like.

While stock market crashes and crises of various kinds may provide convenient opportunities to drive the construction of a one-world rule, it is Superhumanism that will pull in many willing adherents.

Interestingly, and in parallel for some time, there have been a growing number of advocates of Transhumanism. It holds the view that mankind will continue to evolve and advance … by employing new technologies, genetic engineering … etc. Some of its tenets seem otherworldly. However, what is not to be taken lightly is the advance of Superhumanism, which is unfolding before our very eyes.

In our day, we are witnessing two parallel phenomena: the development of powerful technologies and globalist policies, and at the same time, soaring human arrogance and pride. Contrary to the incessant bleatings of the doomsters—who constantly have been predicting disasters—humanity, in many ways, is actually experiencing the best of times.

When the Demise of Superhumanism?

It is our belief that mankind’s systems will be destroyed by the wrath-infused judgments and actions of God Himself during the second half of the Tribulation period.

Mankind’s systems are not likely to collapse before the second half of the Tribulation. They may become fragile and overextended—having relied much on human delusion and psychological innuendo to that point—but still function during periods of crisis.

We recall what God said of the people of Babel: “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them” (Genesis 11:6).

The inhabitants further said: “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise, we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth” (Genesis 11:4).

What we see is that the people of Babel were indeed successful in building their city and their tower (though admittedly not as high as heaven).

Consider the “advanced technology” that they employed in the construction of the Tower of Babel. The people of that era (living not long after the Flood) “[…] said to each other, ‘Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.’ They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.”

As such, God Himself intervened in this case by confusing their language so they could not understand each other. God sought to frustrate the advances of mankind that gave rise to pride and humanism—and to spread them out.

Points to Ponder

We see a human world of larger and larger cities, ever higher population density, and globalism—unified, smug, and intent upon constructing a world apart from God. The sins of Babel are today being replicated on a massive global scale.

In fact, organized humanity no longer thinks it needs God. Worse, the notion of even believing in the Creator God is regarded as primitive.

And so, just as God had to intervene in the days of Nimrod’s Tower of Babel, so God will intervene once again. We note here the fact that their societal collapse was triggered by an external catalyst—God!

God, therefore, responds in wrath as prophesied: “The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled) […] The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day, and the idols will totally disappear” (Isaiah 2:12, 17-18).

Christians, who have been given the Great Hope and are therefore saved from wrath, can be thankful for the advances and quality of life afforded today.

However, Mammon and Superhumanism are alluring. They will be difficult to resist … eventually playing a role in causing faith to run cold. Many are likely to succumb.

However, technology (and humanism) is not our strong tower. Instead: “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). “For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe” (Psalm 61:3). Maranatha
