If we ever hope to change things, there seems to be a few pre-requisites in my mind.
1. End the current plague of career politicians! Term limits are an absolute must.
2. We need to seek out and elect different people to send to Washington DC. The current make up of Congress is little more than a rogues gallery of crooks and grifters.
3. Demand that congress pass a balanced budget requirement.
As Thomas Jefferson said so long ago, The enemies of the people are organized crime and government. Let us chain the government firmly with the constraints of the Constitution so that the government does not become a legalized version of organized crime.
