I believe sugar and lack of exercise is killing Americans. Remember when we were kids? Macaroni and cheese was considered health food. Yet in my school hardly any fat kids. Why? We played hard at recess and hard when we got home. Now they text and play video games.

Yes technology what a great thing, I guess if mac and cheese was a health food back then it's no wonder they are now labeling a pizza a vegetable: Exercise is the key to health even more then food. It's funny we were just talking about this same thing, how none of us were ever inside until dinner.

Very easy to say you care. So you grow organic fruits and vegetables? I know of no one that dumps toxic ash in rivers. Good way to get sued.
See Erin Brockovich. Please show us a way to produce energy and maintain our food supply that has no dangerous side effects or harmful by- products. I would get behind that.

It's happened twice right here in NC with Duke and McCorey(who worked for Duke), and yes they are being sued.

Yep. My dad who died at 91 in April and his sister who is 92 and still kicking. My wife's family lives into their hundreds and have
lived in the US for generations. Most were farmers and ate their own produce.

I'm sorry for your loss, God bless him that was a long life, they did something right and maybe it was eating their own produce. Things have changed a lot in the last 40 years or so. As American's we should be eating great but unfortunately, we've gotten on the fast food track which is garbage with sugar and so many people are overweight.

Do they live in America? Or did they live in America?

Oh, Obama wanted it banned. Must be the scourge of the earth. Actually I have no problem believing it's probably bad therefore; no problem banning it. Seems to me our kids are on so much crap now days a little pesticide might be the least of their problems. When I coached in high school I had to get a list of all the medications each kid on the team was on. I couldn't frigging believe it. This is the most medicated generation in history.

Yes, that may very well be true, but have you thought why that is? Aside from the fact we're a drugged induced country, these chemicals that are in their young systems has a negative effect on some, they get all different kinds of symptoms. I recall working with a woman who if she happens to get food with MSG in it she came back to lunch as if she was drunk or high, nor she wasn't either of those, it was quite bizarre and funny because she was fairly conservative, and that was just one meal.

Not really. I cannot recall one of your contributions which was positive about anything.

You are 100% Doom & Gloom.

Take profits made by industries, for instance.. that really upsets you. That is how a troglodyte would see it.

That must be you then because I don't see it that way. I care about the earth, our health and people, when things are out of wack I try and do something about it, resolve it. For example, not putting poisons on fruits and vegetables that cause brain damage to children or not put toxic ash in our rivers from coal mining or fracking waste going into our water supply. I support all people to have equal rights, no exception. If you find this doom and gloom, then go have mommy read you a bedside story, and we'll handle it.

My information is wrong? I can show you article after article saying that compound has been used and is still being used since the mid sixties.Diodn't say I was for or against. Honestly don't know enough about it. However; I do know without many chemicals are lives would suck. I'm not just a lemming that believes everything that agrees with my way of thinking. Two sides to every debate.

The pesticide in question, chlorpyrifos, is a nasty piece of work. It’s an organophosphate, a class of bug killers that work by “interrupting the electrochemical processes that nerves use to communicate with muscles and other nerves,” as the Pesticide Encyclopedia puts it. Chlorpyrifos is also an endocrine disrupter, meaning it can cause “adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects,” according to the National Institutes of Health.

This chemical chlorpyrifos is mixed with other insecticides some still being sprayed, you're correct this chemical hadn't been banned yet. After the finding out the results and impact on children Obama tried to have it banned, but Trump has reversed it.

The only thing that changes is change itself!, nooo everything changes, even a rock, nothing stays the same, you can quote me if you wish

As far as the party's it is basically common knowledge and taught in college, which I'm sure you give no credence to because they're all taught by liberal communists socialists, correct The parties have flipped in waves, three of the major ones was during/after the civil war, during Roosevelt and the sixties, but there were also other minor changes, it's true.

This pesticide has been in use since 1965. Why is it now dangerous? I have no problem with banning it if it's negative side effects are truely proven.
I trust most environmental groups just a little less than chemical companies.

You go with profit-making Chemical companies versus people trying to protect the environment which in turn provides us with good health. Your information is wrong it's been banned for decades along with many other DDT's.

Trump along with his newly appointed Head of the EPA Scott Pruitt has...

Allowed a dangerous pesticide to stay on the market, despite it being a threat to children’s health. Chlorpyrifos a common agricultural pesticide that causes neurological harm in children exposed in utero. In 2016, the EPA’s scientists concluded that the agency should ban chlorpyrifos after finding unsafe levels of the chemical on apples, peaches, oranges, strawberries, and other fruits. Dow Chemical, one of the largest producers of products using this chemical, gave $1 million to President Trump’s inauguration committee and leads a presidential advisory committee on manufacturing. On March 28, Trump’s EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt rejected the findings of the agency’s scientists, denied a petition to ban the chemical, and delayed further action until 2022

I don't quit see it that way or are you talking about some of the groups that deserted the Dems this year and voted for Trump instead of their usual, like the group that the Democrats started 152yrs. ago, Dem. 24th 1885, called the KKK, (American Nationalists) and their branch party Neo-nationalist, aka.{Neo-Nazis}, who had been voting Dem since the late 40s, with both crossed over because of Trump's border wall issue. That was about the same time that the Communist Party openly said that they would back the Dems, so to cover the out rage and terror the Dems usually get from these groups when a Rep gets into office, so they invented more hate groups like the ANTFA and brought in the Arabian and Muslim brotherhood in, while at the same time fanned the flames on the black movement, with sponsoring BLM and the Panthers.

I'll go with a Party that want to better our life, dig out corruption and enrich the lives of the American people first, instead of shoveling our money to every small country that needs it so that they can wage war on someone else and if they have a little left over they'll send us a bomb or two. I like the idea of the betterment of this nation, the businesses and it's people. Then take on the rest of the world as they come forward.

That seams to be what Trump is doing by cutting the paper work and making it easier to access everything, giving quicker response time and faster representation, believe me I've been on this system for the past thirty years, because of Nam and I can tell you that even in this short of time that Trump has been in the office I have been getting a better treatment, quicker access and very little confusion that they seam to have had for the past many years.
I don't quit see it that way or are you talking ab... (show quote)

You need to do some research on the party's switching, in many of their ideologies changed, yet core issues remain, for example, the Republicans have always been pro-business, while Democrats more for civilian rights. This is why the conflict and change came during the civil war and then again during the civil right protests in the sixties.

When the KKK came into existence in the south most big farmers were Democrats, after the civil war things began to change, Democrats began to move to the right to stay with big business and the fight for equalities stayed with the core of the Democratic party.
