I really don't think this letter will make it to Ms Thompson, as all mail addressed to the White House first goes to the White House mail room, where it is opened and checked for anything suspicious like white powder, etc. The mail room employees, who are more than likely Obama holdovers, will read the letter, pocket the dollar bill, and trash the letter. I would say the best way to contact President Trump would be to send your letter to him at either Mar-A-Lago, FL, Trump Tower in New York City, or in care of Secret Service headquarters in Washington. You might even try sending it to the Secretary of Defense, James Mattis. I would certainly avoid trying to get it to him at the White House for the reasons I stated above.
