Since several sporting goods retailers, liberals, and democrats, seem to think that anyone under the age of 21 isn't responsible enough to buy or safely use a firearm, I think we should raise the voting age from 18 to 21 also. Obviously they aren't responsible enough to vote for the people who will be making the laws governing the sale, use, and types of firearms they can buy. Also, since the first thing they will be trained on when they join the military will be firearms, they shouldn't be allowed to join the military until they are 21. After all, we can't have 18-21 year olds in the military with weapons, especially military weapons such as fully automatic weapons if they aren't allowed to have the semi-auto version of them in civilian life because they aren't responsible enough.

[=Dr. Evil]You'll be dead and gone before the AR's ever are, it must bug the hell out of you to see one. Just finished a new AR build yesterday for varmint cong hunting. Take a look petey, frightening isn't it? BOO😂[/quote]

Nice, did you use an 80% lower or did you buy one already finished. I'm getting an 80% lower for 5.56 and one for 7.62 then building one of each. I'm also doing my own 1911 in .40 cal. I take it you build a lot of your own firearms.

Just tinker with the Ar's, buy complete receivers, have a buddy gunsmith who helps with uppers, they really aren't that difficult, but w/o the proper tools it can be a real pain. The next one I want is a 458 socom, what a beast and you can use a standard lower, might try an upper from scratch. Bought an Armalite 308 this winter but it's still in the box. Good luck with your projects 👍

I have apologized several times in recent years regarding the issue of 'legal voting age'. I do so again. Protesting in the 60s we baby-boomers demanded the right to vote should be Our's @ 18!
The reasoning was valid; if an eighteen-year-old boy could be drafted in support of a war he should be able to vote. So Congress gave us the 26th Amendment. (minimum age/federal elections)
It was then and remains today an ugly mistake. Honestly, if I could wave a wand, the age would be 25. But that's just me, I know of no-one who agrees with that.

(FYI: in recent years Ca. as well as other states have pushed to reduce the age to 16 for state ballots. Can you imagine the population increase of illegals alone if they could vote at 16?)

I totally agree, I also think there should be restrictions on marriage, out of wedlock child birth and a few others. What I see happening today with youth and culture is abhorrent, my 2 cents worth.

Seems like I've heard this before.. 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 etc... Years ago.

It is an old debate that has been around for a long time. It is much ado about nothing. We lowered the ability to buy regular alcoholic beverages to 18, in Virginia, about thirty years ago. The young people in that age bracket could not handle the responsibity. The Virginia General Assembly had to rethink things and raise the age back to 21. The death rate for automobile accidents increased along with a few other statistics and they had all the proof they needed to take action. I personally feel that the age limit for both should be twenty-one.

I would not argue with that Mr. Loki.
