School Teachers Should Be Trained and Armed: Otherwise these same loons will always take down soft targets.
By Pastor Gary Boyd

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano suggests America should follow the Israeli model of arming teachers to protect schools.

U.S. schools should follow an Israeli practice of training and arming teachers, according to Judge Napolitano.

“You can’t keep a lunatic from wanting to kill somebody,” Napolitano told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney on “Varney & Co.” “The only way to stop this is by superior fire power.”

Nikolas Cruz is accused of slaying 17 people with a powerful firearm after entering Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

The shooting is the 25th most fatal shooting at a U.S. elementary, middle or high school since—and including—the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in which 15 people were killed.

Judge Napolitano is in favor of U.S. schools following the Israeli security practice requiring armed guards at schools and permitting certain selective individuals to carry firearms.
“They are teachers … who have been trained and practice every week and silently, stealthfully, not ostentatiously carry a gun,” he said.

To expect our talking heads in Congress to do anything is really a joke. A bad joke that has seen how many of our children die in school shootings in the past 20 years?

This should be taken over at a local level like our schools here in Quincy Illinois that have schools with armed policemen at the doors and when the bell rings the whole school is on lock-down.

We need extreme measures for extreme times. We will not control our borders but we can control our schools. Our treasure lies in our children.

Absolutely, I totally agree. That we should just hang back and continue to address this as usual, meaning not at all, is ridiculous. It is time for an armed response. So many young lives have been lost , families destroyed.

Great idea except that most teachers in the U.S. are Liberals who hate guns and anyone who likes guns. The problem again is not the gun but the culture kids are being brought up in and taught.

Push the feckless feds back inside the beltway, give them only enough money to do what the Constitution instructs them to do, and, most importantly.........never let them near a camera or microphone!

Simply make this a prerequisite in obtaining a degree in education, and making it retroactive. All educators must qualify with a handgun and obtain a carry permit and being armed at all times when on campus. With the liberal politically correct environment now prevalent in schools with their soft target gun free zones, something must be done, and would certainly give pause to a potential shooter if staff from the principal right on down to the janitor was armed.

I was a teacher for 35 years and I totally disagree with all of you about this. There should NEVER be guns in our classrooms, especially after elementary school. Just imagining all the horrible things that could happen in today's high school classrooms with an armed teacher and 30 volition teenagers is totally scary. If a school, especially in danger zones, wants to use metal detectors or hire an armed guard to guard the doors or roam the halls, fine, but no guns in the classrooms.

That is a problem. Of th teachers I know, few would want to be in the same building as someone with a firearm whether or not the guy with the gun was trained.

In lieu of having incompetent, unwilling teachers who would likely wish to be a victim rather than someone who fights back, I would think arming the school so that every entrance is covered by a young professional could be the answer.

Seriously, I have a governor, Cuomo, who has armed guards 24/7... I should think our kids' safety every bit as valuable as his.

30 volition teenagers ?? Really?

I know of teachers who I'd trust 100% with firearms no matter where they are.

No, and I'd not recommend they had access to firearms, either.

Tell that to the Israelis. They don't have school shootings and they are in a much more dangerous place than Florida. However you may have a point in arming today's crop of teachers and having them armed in their classrooms considering their liberal ideology, mindset, courage and their inherent fear of guns, or pretty much any loud noise or things that go bang.

Good point- NO, REALLY GOOD POINT.

There is a tiny nation immersed in a frothing, boiling sea of hatred populated by savages sworn to kill every Jew and yet ----THERE_ IT_ IS!

Amazing, eh?
