Y'all who agree with the President's remark to the effect that we ought not to let people from "shithole countries" into the good ol' USA are perfectly entitled to your opinion, as long as you acknowledge that it represents a distinctly unchristian point of view. Jesus pretty clearly condemned to eternal damnation (see Matt 25: 31-46) the nations of the world that showed no compassion for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the victims of injustice--in other words, nearly every single inhabitant of the countries so crudely denigrated by Mr. Trump.

Don't know about you, but I'd prefer the Kingdom of Heaven to eternal damnation. With that in mind, I'll continue urging my Senators, Congressman, President, and anyone else who'll listen to respect citizens of impoverished nations and do whatever we can to lift them up.

Mercy, love, and peace to all and God bless us, every one.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Are you familiar with that scripture, pilgrim ?

America is our pearl.

And I refuse to cast her before the swine and the dog's of an iniquitous world.

I live in a state where every day we watch as our borders are trampled over, our resources fraudulently squandered and our people murdered by vicious illegal aliens.

America gives more to the world's poor than any other country in human history.

So don't proselytize to those of us who are already firm in our belief and understanding of the word of God.

Nice lecture but you’re taking the word of Dick Durbin. We do more for the citizens of impoverished nations than the rest of the world combined. Move to one and help. Quit lecturing the rest of us. You liberals are so boring and condescending.

You do know the Lord said he’ take those on the right. Better switch sides.

You had better reread that it is the people who are being judged not the nations. This ruling is for each and every one of us in our own individual daily lives and we are not judged as nations but individuals.

We have been helping poor countries all my life (74).
We have given starts in farming along with education only to see people continue to starve.
We are hated by the ones we help.
Heaven helps those who help themselves.
Even the welfare receivers hate the ones who are actually providing their welfare!
Did you ever stop and think why the s-holes are s-holes?
Compassion should be met with appreciation.
We ran out of cheeks long ago.
If all people had your views, Earth would be paradise, but it's obvious for as good as we can be we can also go that far in the evil direction.
Have a good un!

My pastor gave a heck of a sermon on this sort of thing. He said find a homeless person, bring him lunch for 29 days. He will thank you for 29 days. On the 30th day don’t bring lunch but tell him that you are taking him to a job you got for him. Good chance he will curse you on the 30th day. Was about enabling but seems to fit this narrative.

I know that Jesus called the priest (Sanhedrin) and rabbi's (teachers) some "not so nice names" like hypocrites, den of vipers, etc... maybe that why they offered Judas thirty pieces of silver to frame and kill him or maybe it was because he over turned the money changers tables for ripping off the people who came to worship, by making them exchange their money for temple money (at a cost) to offer their tithe. What a racket, pay us, before you can worship in the temple, sounds a lot like our IRS. There are many examples of God judging a nation because of their leaders. Ever heard of Jezebel and Ahab, Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, etc... I think they were the rulers of their nations.
