Nothing like a life and death crisis to help folks get their perspective right. I
did qualify that with..."some".

Look on the previous page. You reply is hidden inside my comment.
Serious about climate change...invest in something practical, right?
What you mean is a few 'De shit ulation' plants, especially in San Frnfreko. Sacofermento and some other 'defecated 'places.

California I believe has one plant.
There is a plant in Yuma to remove the salt from the Colorado river water that flows into Mexico.

Who uses the water from that point aside from Yuma and Mexico? Has CA already grabbed theirs by then? I know there's dams at Parker and Davis.

The desalination plans is on the Mexican border and Yuma doesn't use the water, it's just to fulfill a treaty with Mexica that the water left in the Colorado will be drinkable. Davis and Parker dams are for flood control and power generation. I used to work at both of them as well as Glen Canyon dam. You can see across the river from the desalination plane into Mexico. I worked at the Yuma power plant and in the evening we used to watch the illegals crossing the river into the U.S. That was fifteen, twenty years ago.

California better figure whats burning their homes and melting their cars before worrying where they are getting their water. If you remember their last water shortage when crops were dying in the fields they were still dropping half their fresh water in the San Francisco Bay. It was done to save a fish not native to the Sacramento River call the Smelt. Using some of the Federal money to build water sheds they did a count on the Smelt. The count was one. That's one Smelt. Normality, Reality, Priorities, and common sense take a backseat to the liberal mind set of California.

They'd better. Buying votes with social programs only works as long as nothing bad happens.
