Please accept my sincerest condolences in the loss of your son. It is so tragic for a parent to lose a child, no matter how old they are. We lost one of our daughters to lung cancer in 2004 so can relate. Again, we are so sorry for your loss.

I'm sure you tried your very best to do all you could and that is all we can do. Oh my dear god in heaven I'm so sorry for your loss. I can relate to you sorrow well. Several years back one of my older brothers died of the very same thing.

And I did scream, and was angry for months at him. Course I now know, I was feeling sad and sorry for
myself. He never made it to 50 years old. The hurt will fade, but it is always there.

Your son, like my brother, are in a far better place I believe.

May God be with you in this time of sorrow.

Oh, man, that's awful. I can't imagine the pain and grief of burying my own son like that. What a crying shame. I too teetered on the edge of alcoholism for several years. Thank the Lord I never fell in, but came close on many occasions. I wish you well, Don. Cherish his memory while you live, and know that one day you will both walk the Streets of Glory, together again. God bless.
