Story has been covered, but the gun people have no solution, but they always whine and cry and complain about any gun control, and then go off muttering about their rights under the constitution.

DJ:

There is plenty of blame to go around.

The Air Force did not enter his Bad Conduct Discharge in the NICS data base.

He LIED on his NICS application.

His previous actions should have shown up in a Mental Health data base.

ALL these laws FAILED to prevent the illegal purchase of weapons.

You spend more time calling law-abiding CCP holders stupid, redneck and bible-thumping fools.

CCP holders happen to be the most law-abiding members of our society.

DJ

I mentioned a few ways to ATTEMPT to cure the problem.

Enforce the rules and regulations on the books now.

Join all data into NICS from mental health, felony convictions and driving violations.

Add mandatory training and safety courses on ALL firearms.

Record private sales of firearms.

The only effective solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Simple, common-sense gun control that works would repeal all the restrictive laws and statutes that make it easier for murderers to find their target rich environments. Get rid of these ridiculous 'gun free zones', let people lawfully carry their firearms as they see fit and these killings will cease very quickly. As an added bonus, crime in general will be significantly reduced as criminals back off and leave the 'well-regulated militia' alone.

Snoopy,

I agree with you.

Now convince the others that see no reason for any of your common sense solutions

Enforce the laws already on the books?

Start dealing with these crazy people, instead of just doping them up with medications that obviously aren't working.

DJ:

I have one more.

Abolish Gun Free Zones. They only provide unarmed targets.

But I DO NOT mean courtrooms, police stations or any other governmental buildings. I put my trust
in the officers trained to protect those situations.

Any organization that has been targeted in the past is obligated to provide protection. The church I attend provides two city policemen, in uniform, for every service........one inside and one patrolling outside. They are members of the congregation, hold a position as security staff, and wear uniforms under an agreement with the city.
