The next time someone points to England's very low murder rate, show them this link. It shows that England's per capita murder rate in 1900, when there was no gun control at all, was considerably lower than it is today with a ban on ownership of most firearms.

There are a large number of NRA certified and trained instructors, even in small population areas like WV there are at least 6 certified instructors in the local gun cub here.

You don't need to own a weapon to be able to shoot. Go to any gun range and you are able to rent for a very small fee a weapon and the instructors will be more than happy to acquaint you with whatever weapon you choose. My suggestion is to start small, a .22 rifle. It's more accurate than a pistol, doesn't kick at all and will give you much satisfaction at being able to hit what you're aiming at. BEWARE!!! If you do that, you're going to be hooked on shooting. It is so neat to know you can aim at something 50 feet away and put a bullet in a thimble. Try it, have fun. Mike
