Well, it would do my heart a lot of good if all "GLOBAL WARMING IDIOTS"" were convicted of their lies and jailed!!!!

It hasn’t been a great summer for Al Gore. First, his “An Inconvenient Sequel” flopped so hard at the box office that it pretty much became the “The Mummy” of global warming documentaries. (Among a small sample size, I must admit.) Now, a piece of 2.7-million-year-old ice is exposing his agenda as a complete fraud.

According to Science Daily, it was announced earlier this week “that a core drilled in Antarctica has yielded 2.7-million-year-old ice, an astonishing find 1.7 million years older than the previous record-holder.

“Bubbles in the ice contain greenhouse gases from Earth’s atmosphere at a time when the planet’s cycles of glacial advance and retreat were just beginning, potentially offering clues to what triggered the ice ages,” the article reads.

And what caused those ice ages? Low carbon dioxide levels.

Science Daily reports that the data was presented to the Goldschmidt Conference in Paris in a paper by Princeton University graduate student Yuzhen Yan. The paper revealed that carbon dioxide levels during the era in question “did not exceed 300 parts per million, well below today’s levels.” That would be a necessary precondition to cause a series of ice ages.

The carbon dioxide levels inside the block of ice — from a core drilled in Antarctica, according to Science News — shattered previous science that gleaned carbon dioxide levels from the fossils of animals living in shallow oceans. If the results are true, “We have some work to do,” said Texas A&M paleoclimatologist Yige Zhang, according to Science Daily.

Since that ice age, of course, the world has become more arable; places that would have been unlivable have been turned into thriving cities. Nobody wants to see another ice age — and it seems unlikely that we’ll get there, even though some climate scientists warned us one was imminent back in the 1970s.

It’s time that we just admit that the science simply isn’t settled and that doomsday is not right around the corner. Liberals like Al Gore can’t have it both ways. Either the science is settled or it’s fluid — and the evidence seems to suggest that it’s likely the latter.

That means all of the hysterics are nothing more than fraud.

You idiot. There were no humans 2.7 million years ago, but there were other creatures...........that died off. There have been FIVE extinction events in Earths history, all caused by dramatic climate changes. Some of the climate changes were precipitated by volcanic activity, some by asteroids or other extraterrestrial objects and some of unknown origins...........and the jury is STILL out on whether humans themselves will precipitate the next one.

It is CLIMATE CHANGE that is the issue, not Global warming, which is just ONE of the symptoms.

First of all, C02 has not been proven to be a greenhouse gas. Second, volcanos do emit more greenhouse gases than humans do. These include sulfur dioxide and other proven greenhouse gasses. C02 is not a problem. Plants eat the stuff and grow faster as a result. The climate regulates itself. It doesn't need our help. You idiots have labled C02 a toxic substance, in spite of the fact that it is required for life to exist. There was also a period of time when C02 was increasing at the same time that temperatures were dropping. Explain that.

To begin with, did you miss the part that said the science is unsettled? That was a very honest comment and it appears that you missed it. The implication is that you CC supporters want to act as if science is completely settled. That is disingenuous because it is not.

Now, what does your comment about no humans back then have to do with anything? The point of the paper is that the ice core sample shows that during that ice age the CO2 atmospheric pp was low, not high. The presence or absence of humans is irrelevant. The CO2 level is the point, not the cause of it so don't be so quick with your name calling because you aren't looking too bright yourself.

Finally, get off your soapbox about CC vs GW. Your idol Gore started the GW rhetoric and kept it up until it was totally disproven, upon which he accepted the findings that the earth is cooling...which was completely counter to his GW mantra...and he shifted gears into CC because he can milk that regardless of which way it goes. So now out with GW and in with CC.

Your problem is that you were as adamant regarding GW as you now are about CC. You were totally wrong about your "scientists" proving GW and now you use the same "scientists" to prove your current doomsday CC theory.

If you cannot be consistent and you allow your scientists to change their opinions like people change sox, why should anyone pay attention to you?

There is also the simple FACT that not one single catastrophic prediction of climate has ever come true. So why should we listen to these clowns? I mean, according to Al Gore New York City should be underwater and the ice caps completely gone. LOL! And why should we panic if the ice caps are really melting. They weren't always there. At one time there were no ice caps, and life did not end. In fact, it flourished.

As I told LPN, the same scientists who were proven totally wrong regarding GW are now pushing CC.

If they could be so convinced that GW was true, and offered their science to support it, the moment they were proven wrong...everyone including the GW/CC people should have realized these"scientists" don"t know their ass from a glacier and should have stopped paying them any attention.

These people believe because they want to believe.

Another item is concerning those who say ice cores have shown higher CO2 in fossilized animal tissue and say that proves these animals were breathing a higher CO2 saturated atmosphere.

2. For many years CO2 has been used to stimulate breathing in the ER because it causes deeper inhalation.

2. As an animal is dieing it is not uncommon for the animal's respiration to become more shallow and slower. This results in less CO2 being respired out which in turn increases tissue saturation of CO2 to rise due to the excess in the blood. It makes sense for higher CO2 sat to be higher in a deceased air breather especially if the death was slow as in a prolonged illness

Doesn't the finding support the argument that CO2 makes the world warmer. If the ice ages began when CO2 was 300 PPM, why is it not reasonable to conclude that global warming is occurring because global CO2 has reached 407 PPM?
