I'm continually amazed at the sheer seething hatred people have for Trump. One can't even point to racism as a cause. It's just pure seething, irrational hatred. That being said, in our world of "free press" and our first amendment rights, I would truely enjoy someone taking down Colbert for going just a bit, or rather way, too far with his latest tie raid.

"Mr. President, you're not the POTUS, you're the 'gloat-us.' You're the glutton with the button. You're a regular 'Gorge Washington.' You're the 'presi-dunce,' but you're turning into a real 'prick-tator," Colbert said.'

He continued:

"Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c--k holster."

I'm not ordinarily offended and indeed, this doesn't actually offend as much as it angers. This is the new low our entertainment industry has reached and I find it shameful. Of course with elected officials, we can vote them out and with entertainers we can change the channel. But with so much media available, their message still gets out and is, essentially, unavoidable. I hear the BLM leader calling for some videos to be "taken down." In other words, she's asking for censorship, yet claims to be supportive of the first amendment. Right.

I guess what I'm saying, it that rather than "taking down" Colbert's platform, I'd rather see someone take HIM down. Other's across the globe will equate his level of crass verbiage as being the norm in the USA, and indeed, it's nearing that. But really, is this really where we as a nation are at, the open verbal abuse of a president, no matter how poor of a person he might be????

Oh, I know people who like to listen to guys like Colbert and that outsider, Trevor Noah, who thinks he needs to come over here and rescue fellow blacks from white privilege. Many have been life long friends. I'll not limit their freedom to tune in, but I'll wish and hope for something very nasty to happen to those like Colbert, for all the good it'll do, to hope and wish. LOL! Ok, I won't let it fill my heart, to hope for that, but if it actually happened, I'd not lose any sleep over it, I can guarantee it!

These Colbert people are a sad joke. Why listen to them? Why watch MSM news? I haven't watched any since the election and I am more at peace, calmer and relaxed than eve before! I don't even watch Fox News. These "diseased" zombies that obscess over every word and action of Trump will slowly destroy themselves. Life is too short, my friends! I'm a retired professional and really enjoy life more than ever! God is in control and His timing is perfect!

For a second, I thought you were talking about Hillary and Bill! LOL! Certainly you'd not want a true criminal as president, would you?? LOL!

Hey, do you remember how Ted Kennedy went to the then communist USSR during the cold war to illicit aid from the Soviet leader to undermine Reagan's foreign policy?? Remember that????? If I'm not mistake, Teddy was a democrat of very long and also illicit standing. LOL!

And if old Teddy had that amount of brass to go to the USSR for help to collude in an election (Reagan's second one), then don't you know that over the years the democratic party has cultivated that?? What a crack up the democrats are.

But you'll notice that I said all of that without saying yo or anyone are only fit to have a guys cock in your mouth, didn't I??

So, if you're ok with that level of crass media diarrhea, then I guess that makes you a part of the problem. You see, I don't actually think Trump is an embarrassment so much as he's the one to put the world back on their own two feet, forcing them to stop depending upon us for all their security, economy and clean air. Forcing the rest of the world to grow up, makes the rest of the world resent Trump. I can understand that!

I don't watch much TV, but I hear the stories from my husband. The thing that hurts the most is that we have a president who epitomizes every loathsome characteristic a human can lay claim to. He continually sets himself up as an irresistible target for these remarks and he is totally oblivious to that fact. I feel that the damage he is doing to our country's image and standing in the world may take decades to repair. Instead of slamming the entertainment industry, maybe we should blame the one arousing such scorn.

If I do something to cause an ass to start acting more like an ass, am I to blame for them being an ass?? But I'll go there with you. So, when an officer shoots a black due because he was "reaching" and yet was unarmed, then it's the "reaching black dude" who provoked the cop and shouldn't have done that. And he shouldn't have used profanity in his initial response to the cop who shot him as well. He's dead because he acted bad and didn't listen. LOL!

Actually, I'd agree with that logic, but the lefty liberal would not. Yet you, who sound like an anti-Trump lefty liberal (I could be mistaken), and thus should not appreciate the analogy I have presented to you.

What say you purplesky??

He will never do the damage Barack Obama did on this country. And just about everybody except the far left liberal loons on OPP will back me up on this. Obama said he would "fundamentally
CHANGE this country and he certainly tried...and not in a good way. Pathetic! Watch DeSouza's first movie way back in 2008. He had Obama's number and laid it out in black and white. And you know what? He was spot on with his analysis. This is before he spent his first day in office. If you like the socialist/Marxist/communist ideology, then you should move to another country because good God-fearing Americans aren't going to let it happen in this country. Period!!!!!! https://www.amazon.com/2016-Obamas-America-Dinesh-DSouza/dp/B0094V8OXG Here's a fair revew by someone who saw the movie. (unusual). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2247692/reviews

Even trying to stay away from MSM news and look for straight, unbiased news, one would be exposed to that Colbert rant. But I do agree, why listen? If anything, I listen enough to know and recognize that some people are acting on his pathetic words as if they are a guide for their little lives. I find that sad.

There is a woman on OPP who takes her direction from parodies on SNL, thinks Alec Baldwin is as true a character as you'll find to give Trump justice, and probably has pictures of Stephen Colbert hanging up in her room. Sad, but true. It's amazing how effective these late night idiots have in their ability to indoctrinate the idiots watching by their constant bombardment on our poor President. He has pretty big shoulders, though and I wish he wouldn't give them "the time of day".

At the very least, his tweets are inadequate responses to such blatant lunacy we see in the media, including "comics" like Colbert, et al.

Yeah, I hate see him stooping to their level and you have to admit, it IS pretty low. I thought Letterman was the king of disgusting and rude, but Colbert is succeeding in "outdoing him".

Letterman didn't seem so much interested in an agenda as is being funny.
