For the past couple of days, the rightwingnut media has been challenged to find someting positive about the trumpcare failure that magoo macconnell brought out, and thrying to compare the trumpcare failure that eddie munster ryan produced. Both are dismal failures and neither will reach trumps desk for him to scrawl on.

When compared to the ACA, which more people want when they see the idiotic alternatives the corporate conservative dogs want to impose, even the most stupid OPP conservatard
can see the huge ost shift to the states, so the idiots think that they will pay less for trumpcare, until they suddenly realize that they will either get far less coveraged, or they will have to pay their state much more.

And what the usual idiots always seem to forgt is that THEY, rightwingnuts that they are, will also require medical care, just like dems, liberals, youths, middle agers and golden agers.

Or they could do the world a favor, and do what the conservatards in congress want, and that is to croak quickly

I find it ironic that Democrats are pissing and moaning so much about planning behind closed though, isn't that same complaint the Whinypublicans made 8 years ago.

The government has no business being in the medical insurance business. The only job it has is to protect the freedom of the marketplace and the citizens who produce to sell and to buy. Taxes should be only on products for the purpose of supporting this kind of democratic-republic. The "benefit-game" this country is currently involved in springs from a mentality that has been duped by the Critical Theory taught by malcontents like Marcuse and From who were let into the sociological department of Tulane and Columbia back in the Thirties. The "Hollywood movie moguls" and communist professors along with newspaper moguls like Hearst ran with this Marxist theory. Evidence how effective was the brainwashing in the universities is seen in the mass media recordings of the Sixties with the destructive results showing up in the demoralized and degenerate lives of our post world war two generation. We cry for "dependency" and not "independency." The only solution is to "nationnalize the Fed" and return the job of "interest-free-money-creation" back to Congress where it should have stayed all along. An international banking cartel should not be ruling us to manipulate by funding communist groups in our country with income interest-bearing taxes. Treat the Rothschild and Rockefeller disciples like the Bernie Madof scammer criminals they are.

The ACA went through months of bipartisan debate and negotiation once the bill was introduced. This bill is a thinly-veiled excuse to take from the poor and give to the rich. Seniors, the disabled, children and working and non-working citizens will all suffer under this abomination.

The bill as "produced" is a working draft, not the final legislation. I think the Republicans aren't stupid enough to completely destroy the ACA, if they want to exist as a party in most states that are primarily Democrat.

That's true, but at least with these attempts we do have some idea of what's being consider and we can and have said no to all three drafts.. We did not even have that with BO who snuck it through in the middle of the night with no one knowing what was in it...

The ACA was hammered out in a bipartisan effort over months! It will be interesting to see how our children, seniors, the disabled, the poor in general, imcluding the working and non-working adults, fare under whatever the final bill turns into. Them the House gets another crack at it. Take out the tax credits for the rich, and there should be enough to finance essential health care.

The ACA did nothing for the elderly, poor and children. With its mandate to PURCHASE ridiculously unaffordable health INSURANCE, it was a gift to the private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations that rip $500 BILLION annually in profits from the US health CARE system.

Eliminate private, for profit health INSURANCE and its sucking dry of the health CARE system with its ridiculously high premiums, co-pays and deductibles, up the medicare payroll tax by 2-3% and tax annual stock increases, investment income and capital gains the same as other incomes and enact HR676 (Improved and Expanded Medicare for All) and 95% of taxpayers SAVE money and every man, woman and child is covered for health CARE.

Health INSURANCE and health CARE are not the same thing.

Hammered out over 17 months I understand and did we know it, did we know they were voting on it?? Did we have any idea what they were working on??? Not a clue... And when all done they obviously didn't have a damn clue about what they just past!!!

Works for me. Now sell it to Congress. And yes, I am fully aware that insurance and care are not the same thing. And access does not mean affordability.

And greetings to you, gentle lady.

I wish more Americans would realize that what other countries pay in a tax increase for single payer/universal health CARE is LESS than what Americans pay for health INSURANCE premiums. I am often attacked by uninformed posters here on OPP saying "we don't want and/or cannot afford single payer/universal health CARE cause then you have higher taxes", when in the end we would pay less overall and get so much more. Many life threatening or expensive illnesses are prevented or managed because people could actually go to the doctor and not worry about the cost. Obamascam did NOTHING but cause health INSURANCE premiums to continue to rise because it is still through private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations.

Keep in mind, that a big part of the wage stagnation of the past 2 decades is the increase is going cover rising health INSURANCE premiums.

Ever heard of the Milliman Medical Index (MMI)? Check out these charts for employers and their employees. Think what the self-employed are raped by private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations. We could easily afford Improved and Expanded Medicare for All (HR676) by eliminating the $1.75 TRILLION that private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations collect in premiums, from mostly the healthy and then take $500 BILLION from that in profits, while dumping the elderly, disabled and poor (those that are the most frail and sickest), Medicare and Medicaid, onto the backs of those same premium payers. Most Americans have been brainwashed to think NOTHING of writing a blank check to the Pentagon to wage endless illegal, unConstitutional, immoral wars but providing single payer/universal health CARE is just a handout to freeloaders.

I hope you have shared your suggestions with your reps!!!

Buffalo it isn't your suggestion so much as it is seeing any single payer program just that much closer to socialism.... I know the argument to that is we already have it in VABenefits, Medicare, but people don't really look at the make up of them as such...

I am self employed and after finding premium sky high as a sole proprietor I networked in with a group of associates getting a group policy with fair Primiums and your standard 80/20 deductible of 2500 .. Rape you is an understatement considering what I had before BOCare!!

I think we will end up with a single payer in the end of whatever runoff they put to this garbage they are throwing our.. The Senate bill no better.. I doubt many will support it given up coming elections..

I had never seen those graphs you put up..Thank You, very informative...

Insurance companies lost nothing but sure lie saying they did!! I've watched their annual reports and profits is all it's been!!!
