I had no idea that the CIA was/is not interested in facts or evidence. I thought that, in the USA, we do not judge a person on speculation but rather on facts or evidence of wrongdoing. What an interesting quote: "CIA chief, he dealt with intelligence rather than evidence ....." With this new standard, we can convict anyone based on hearsay, speculation, or even wishful thinking. How interesting that he did not say anything about proven or vetted intelligence, just intelligence. I suppose this is the "right" way to respond to the question on whether or not there was collusion between Russia and the people who voted for our President. After all, when you view the reason that the CIA and for that matter NSA or the other alphabet organizations with similar duties, their job is only to collect information; whether true or false, from individuals who may have personal vendettas or even the deepest part of "imagining" that something could or could not happen. Their job is to pass along that information, and in the words of Bruce Berkowitz: " ...in the end, intelligence shouldn't decide what we do. There may be no smoking gun. It's the nature of the intelligence business. Elected officials will have to perform the job they are paid to do: Judge. Decide. Lead."

So, you may bank on what John Brennan has to say.... In my opinion, there is often a world of difference between "intelligence" and facts. We have spent decades involved in wars based on nothing more than speculation drawn from "intelligence." Just something to think about.

Just a gentle reminder but John Brennan and obama are close friends, there is evidence that he converted to muslim, and finally he has been a critic of President Trump from the moment our President started running for office. One might say that he has some personal reasons for his actions. One last thing... do you recall that John Brennan made it public that he wanted to remain in his job only if Clinton was elected..... So...

John Brennan, huh? Obama's yes man? Okay.

Dmitry Peskov, President Vladimir Putin's spokesman, told CNN's Fareed Zakaria in an interview that aired Sunday, "Well, if you look at some people connected with Hillary Clinton during her campaign, you would see that Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak had lots of meetings with them. President Putin, during election campaign, had never answered directly a question about supporting any American candidate. He kept saying that we will respect the choice of American people.

The candidate Hillary Clinton was quite negative about our country in her attitude and in her program, declaring Russia being nearly the main evil in the world and the main threat for the United States."

Trump, however, said he was willing to work with Russia despite disagreements.

Whom would you like better? The one who says that Russia is evil or the one who says that, 'Yes, we disagree, but let's talk to understand and to try to find some points of agreement?'"

If I were under constant assault by insane leftist reptiles, I'd hire an outside attorney too.

Are you aware that your good fella, Brennan, once voted for the Communist Party POTUS candidate.

Brennan is an Obama political hack.

Excellent points Pennylynn. And if there was activity who's to say it was/was not from Michael Flynn? a past agent of the Trump administration who may have been interested at that time...

Brennan for being so disingenuous makes me ill. I watched him on C-Span yesterday and I doubt every word that came out of his mouth. One of the Senators asked him "Why does it matter? so I can tell my constituents why we're doing this?"

Brennan said:I care about America

Hearings in the Senate and House of Representatives on Tuesday showed there is evidence of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia and that President Donald Trump never jeopardized intelligence sources, a White House spokesman said. What word did I leave out? the word No I cut it out and Demorater lives it out of their little brains.

To be very honest with you, Flynn was the wrong choice for our President to make. He, in my opinion, carried a grudge against obama and clintons.
With his inability to be submissive or even appear to be, his future in the government was doomed. A little history on him, as you know he ran DIA in DC and was forced into retirement by non other than James Clapper and Michael Vickers. His mentor was a man named Stanley McChrystal. Most people who have not worked in DC or the IC would not recognize his name, but he too was forced into retirement by none other than Clapper and Vickers. Rumor had it, that both individuals were forced out at the bidding of obama. His dissatisfaction with the obama administration became quite clear during the 2016 campaign where he often repeated that obama was a “weak and spineless” leader who “coddles” terrorists and brought mayhem to our streets with his “fumbling indecisiveness,” “willful ignorance” and “total incompetence.” Clinton should not only be locked up for her careless handling of classified emails, he has repeatedly said, but she is also “somebody who will leave Americans behind on the battlefield.”

I can not say that I disagree with what he had to say, but I do think that he doomed himself and had it not been for charges of collusion with Russians trying to bring down clinton, something else would have forced him out of office. That is just the way DC works. When you get on a "S" list, you never recover. On many accounts he was so very right... He wanted us to understand why we can not win in the ME, or even defeat ISIS.
Flynn is quoted: “Over the course of all those interrogations, I concluded that ‘core Al Qaeda’ wasn’t actually comprised of human beings, but rather it was an ideology with a particular version of Islam at its center. More than a religion, this ideology encompasses a political belief system, because its adherents want to rule things—whether it’s a village, a city, a region or an entire ‘caliphate.’ And to achieve that goal, they are willing to use extreme violence. The religious nature of that threat makes it very hard for Americans to come to grips with.” Europe is learning how right he was.

Did he have inappropriate contact with Russians. I sincerely doubt it. He had a deep disdain and distrust of Russians in general. In one interview that I recall, he is quoted: "Putin is a totalitarian dictator and a thug who does not have our interests in mind. So I think Trump calling him a strong leader has been overstated, I’ll give you that. But Putin is smart and savvy, and he has taken actions in Ukraine and elsewhere that have limited our options, and the U.S. and NATO response has been timid. I think Trump’s strength lies in being a master negotiator, and he wants as many options as possible in dealing with Russia.”

Bottom-line, Flynn made an excellent "fall guy" for Democrats to target.

I don't know if the "Russians" had any influence on the election or not. But IF they did, we all owe then a great deal of gratitude for the outcome.
Seriously, Lefties, ask yourself this question, why would Russia prefer Trump over Clinton? Clinton would be a much easier push over to deal with than a strong leader like Donald Trump.
Can you please answer that question with some clarity? I'd love to hear it.

All things aside, contacts between Russia and the Clinton's began decades ago, your point?

Russia didn't interfere with election, it's a blown up deflection by the Democratic party in order to take focus off the fact they're voter base was used and manipulated to try and serve a purpose not of the Democrat voter.
