How'd you know I adore those Otters? I fell in love with them as a child due to a movie I watched of which I can not recall the name. I'm guessing it's an old Disney movie, back when Walt was still around.

Perhaps because they are so cute we just cn't help but love them.... I saw some in Atlanta and didn't have my camera..They were busy crossing a little shallow lake, at least where they were ...I was at the Etowa Mounds Indian reservation..Inhabited from 1000AD to 1500AD and of course on the prettiest land you coud imagine with that river..They sure lived right, caring for the land and simple living....Ironic this particular location was the tribal location where "politics" were had with other Indians and" their allies"..Even then it was a political arena! They were a mix of Cherokee and Creek and fasinating they were.....

As for the otters I was just thinking we just need hugs to smile, life is too short....
Nothing amazing about me, just being me~~But I do find your compliment humbling, Quest...Hugs to you..

We went to the museum and found it to be very emotional for both of us. My Dad was in the Navy during the war stationed in the Philippine Islands and Jack's Dad was in the 101st Airborne and made 37 battle jumps as a medic. He had a Navaho Indian as a body guard that was with him from the beginning of the war. He was killed by a sniper while standing in the chow line. He died in Big Jack's arms. He never got over it! How I admire and appreciate all of our military, I cannot express it enough! GOD bless them one and all! K O on the pictures. I think it is time for me to get to work and finish packing and cleaning house. Gotta leave my house clean just in case the 'clean house police' inspect it while I'm gone. LOL. It may be your topic, but the words belong to me and I stand by them. I'm sure quite a few of the female minded here on OPP were offended (wasn't that your point?), and I expected nothing more.

I realize I am a traitor to my own gender and that's just tough...for them...and very "typical" of them to be offended. I had no idea my words wielded the power to control the feelings of another. Those feelings of offense belong solely to them, not me.

No, I didn't do AA other than when my not yet husband and I went to a few AA open meetings to please me. But, as you should know, AA doesn't work that way. He needed to do this for himself, not me.

Unbeknownst to me, I was a miserable idiotic soul back then and nothing he could have done would have been right nor good enough to please me, i.e., make me happy. Still today, I wonder why he married me, saying, "I do" three times in a row at the alter. It must have been that idiot lurking within him. We were a perfect match, no doubt!!!

I agree....dogs help the blind, rescue people, sniff for bombs at airports, help firefighters even bring you a drink in the alps...haha...and they are grateful....cats act as if they are doing you a favor by being your pet...I always wondered why some people dislike cats and now I know....they are some high-strung fks...this lady I know, her cat would only eat a certain kind of food....when she would put it on a saucer.....the cat would wait until she broke the food up with a fork....I told her that useless ass cat would either a)starve waiting on me to do that or b)go get a job in a warehouse as a mouser.

Yes, puppies are cuter, most of them, anyhow, and baby guinea pigs are adorable. They are born with their eyes open and can walk within an hour, respond to people within 24 hours, all of which makes they very cute. but the serenity of mother otter and her pup (I think that is how they are referred to) makes this photo really something special.

Love my Rott Bear to death. No way anyone would ever get close to me unless it's family or I tell him it's ok. But I have to tell you I babysat with my cousins cat for a week many years ago. The spoiled brat that she was. Turned out she was the cat from hell. She'd get in a corner right before the kitchen before I got up. Then when I'd try and get to the kitchen, she'd jump out in front of me and meowwww like a devil from hell. Needless to say I learned how to jump real high to get in my kitchen. Don't laugh...not funny...do you know how high cats can jump from a stand still spot? !!!
Screamanbajeebies.......I had look around every corner and sleep with my bedroom door shut for a week. Never came so close to pinging an animal as that one. lol
