The Glory of God in Zion
A Song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised
In the city of our God,
In His holy mountain.
Beautiful in elevation,
The joy of the whole earth,
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King.
God is in her palaces;
He is known as her refuge.
For behold, the kings assembled,
They passed by together.
They saw it, and so they marveled;
They were troubled, they hastened away.
Fear took hold of them there,
And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs,
As when You break the ships of Tarshish
With an east wind.
As we have heard,
So we have seen
In the city of the Lord of hosts,
In the city of our God:
God will establish it forever. Selah
We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness,
In the midst of Your temple.
According to Your name, O God,
So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;
Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Let Mount Zion rejoice,
Let the daughters of Judah be glad,
Because of Your judgments.
Walk about Zion,
And go all around her.
Count her towers;
Mark well her bulwarks;
Consider her palaces;
That you may tell it to the generation following.
For this is God,
Our God forever and ever;
He will be our guide
Even to death.

Psalm 48:1-14
These are the words of David, King of Israel
I agree or disagree with politicians, statesman, people of power, based upon logic and reason. For this reason, I am writing my prayer today for Israel. I agree with Donald Trump, that the capital of Israel should be Jerusalem. Did you know that the mountain of Zion, was the city center of a town called “Salem” where God’s priest Melchizedek resided?
Melchizedek was a king of the city of Salem, he was also a priest of the God most high. He was God’s priest. From his order came Jesus Christ, the last High Priest of the Jewish faith. Little has been told about the King of Salem. Salem was the city of Peace. The King of Salem broke bread with Abraham the father of Israel, in honor of God Most High.
Israel(Jacob), would leave this land, that was promised to Abraham, for Egypt. And for two millennia his descendants, the descendants of Israel, would be enslaved in a foreign land. Then God would remember His promise to Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob, and return the Hebrews, now the Israelites back to the city of Peace, Salem.
It is right to call Jesus, the prince of Peace. Because Jesus is King of Salem—In a historical sense. Saul and David after him, were tasked with overthrowing the Philistines, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the people of the promised land. But not only overthrowing them, but totally annihilating them. It was from these three groups, that all kinds of wickedness flourished. Although King Nimrod was a wicked king from Chaldea otherwise known as Babylon, he warred against Salem. So, did the Philistines, Hittites and Amorites. David’s sin against God was showing mercy towards the Hittites. Because of this Mercy, that David showed for personal reasons, God would punish Israel forever. But Jesus would forgive the Gentiles of their infectious sin that polluted the pure kingdom of Israel.
Jesus would establish His kingdom in Salem. This was done first by David, conquering the city-state and renaming it Jeru-Salem. That is “The Jewish City of Peace.” Or more directly put, “The Tribe of Judah, City of Peace.”

This peaceful city became the original capital of Israel, which it should be today. David made Mount Zion a revered place where the “House of the Lord” should be. Solomon would build God’s house on earth, and house the Ark of the Covenant there. The original Ten Commandments, written by the hand of God, would serve as a reminder to the children of Our God, the promise of Our Lord.

Jesus would come in a time when chaos entered into this city. The empires of Babylon, Syria, Persia, Greece, and Rome would all conquer this city. The reminisce of all these cultures would reside within God’s city of Peace.

The priestly people of Israel, from the order of Arron, the brother of Moses, would carry on the Law of God from this city. The politicians would try to rule God’s priestly people, Israel, to no avail until Caesar Tiberius would destroy the City in a biblical apocalyptical way. First the city would be destroyed along with King Solomon’s temple, by Babylon, the god-king Nebuchadnezzar. The people of Israel would be enslaved for a millennium. During that time, the people would lament over the destruction of God’s House, the Temple of Solomon.

Then the people would return to God, and Herod would rebuild the temple. And the Second Temple grew more magnificent than the first. Christ would come to the temple, many times to give thanks to His Heavenly Father, here. He would preach the words of Life, in the city of Peace. He would be rejected by the builders. He would be rejected by His own priestly people. Then be killed in the city.

Then John, the Apostle whom Jesus loved would witness in 70AD the utter destruction of the city, that Jesus lamented over. From the old religion under the Law of Moses would spring up a more powerful one. One that taught forgiveness and the grace and glory of God. Christians were born, with the death of Jesus in the city of Peace.
Jesus gave us two commands, “Love God, with all your mind, strength, body and soul.” And “Love thy neighbor as thy self.” A radical new philosophy that even converted the Greek and Roman followers of Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle. Jesus completed the philosopher’s philosophy with a simple phrase, “Have faith in God, and love your neighbors as yourself.”

Jesus was a Jew, He was the Son of Joseph, Son of Solomon, Son of David, Son of Jesse, Son of Judah, Son of Israel, Son of Abraham, Son of Noah, Son of Enoch, Son of Seth, Son of Adam, Son of God. Matthew and Luke both trace Jesus’ ancestor back to God, Father of Adam.
This is the Messiah that David speaks about in His Psalms. And Christ has compassion to the True Israelites. Where today there is only a remnant of the children of Israel. During the mid-twentieth century, a ruler named Hitler and his Nazi party would exterminate many of God’s priestly people. Who, since the fall of Jerusalem in 70 ADE and the fall of Jerusalem again during the third crusade, left the land. They were exiled from their promised land.
But as the Psalms have showed us in faith, hope and love in God, as Daniel foreseen, and as John so eloquently tells us in Revelations, and as Christ tells us, “There will be a new Heaven and A new Earth, and a New Jerusalem.”

Let us pray for the children of Israel, which we as Christians are all a part of. It is not the children of Israel and the Children of Christ, but we are all Children of Israel through Christ. So to be against the Jews, is to be against Christ. But the Jews are only one part, a remnant of the tribe of Judah. Judah had eleven other brothers and one sister. And these descendants are all the children of Israel.

And it is just as right today, as it was in 1948 to establish God’s priestly people in their home of Israel. We must help Israel make peace with their neighbors, as well as practice the teachings of Christ. While Israel teaches about our God, we can teach about His Son. So that no man or woman shall perish death, but live eternally.
Through America, a predominately Christian nation, and through Israel a predominately Jewish nation, shall the kingdom of Israel return to the face of the earth, and preach peace instead of war. But this is only a minor part of it, through our lifestyle of Christ, and the lifestyle of the Priestly people of Israel shall Man come to the glory of God, with honor and peace.

Let us pray for the conversion of the Muslims to the Judaeo-Christian society. And may peace be restored. I ask this in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

Amen to the Psalm, and to your commentary, Ranger.

We must remember the Muslims are the descendants of Ishmael, who was Abraham's first son. God's promise to Abraham about Ishmael in Genesis 17:20 - And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. Although Ishmael was not God's chosen, he is a child of Abraham's, and does have God's blessing.

I have read several articles where a Muslim has been visited by an angel to tell them about Jesus, and (even in fear of death) they have converted. Praise God, may more be turned to Jesus. This we pray in His name, Amen.

This prayer is from 2/7/15

A time to begin and a time to pass on to the next. Like a relay race, you pass the baton on to the next person. It was hard for me to see the Psalms thread just drop and disappear. It had become such an important part of my morning, and I felt an important part of collective prayer for our country, service men, and team. We looked forward to the Psalm, a hymn to accompany it, and a prayer. Life moves on, and with it a move to another book of the Bible. Praise the Lord, we keep moving forward.

Our hope is tied to the Lord's mercy and saving grace for America. Our prayer, bring this nation back to You, Lord. We need You, we want You in our lives, and in the lives of our children. Help us, Oh Lord. Lead us on The Path. Light our way with Your presence. How we need You! Each of us, contributors, readers, prayer partners, all look to You with hope in our heart and prayer on our lips. Keep us untied to Your goal, Lord, keep us a team.

A teenager, in New Jersey, fought to keep the words, "In God we trust," in the Pledge of Allegiance. She won, Lord, she won! That's an encouraging start. Come upon the hearts and conscience of our lawmakers, have them be more concerned about America than greed. Have us be ready to stand up and fight for our right as Christians, our right to worship You. We ask that You bless our Military, keep them in Your care, and their families. Keep this nation in Your care. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Amen and Amen that is the only way that the earth will know peace from the Muslims is if the Muslim is converted to Christ and thus Christianity and leaves the Muslim religion or Islam.

Amen.

Verse of the Day for Tuesday, April 25, 2017:

I lift up my eyes to the hills -€” where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. -€” Psalm 121:1-2

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Since God could speak into existence the universe, and since God knows our names and the number of the hairs on our head... surely we know that we can go to him for our help. Let's lift up our eyes and our hearts to El Shaddai, Lord God of the Mountains and know the Almighty sees our needs, hears our requests, and cares about our hearts.

My Prayer...

Holy and All-powerful Abba Father, I do look to you for help. You are the one true source of redemption, power, comfort, encouragement, hope, and excellence in my life. Please give me the wisdom to know your will and choose your will for my life. Thank you for being faithful through the ages to your people and throughout my life to me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A verse I have often repeated. He knows my every need before I come to Him with it. He knows my every danger and protects me from them. What a wonderful and great God we have. Amen, Amen.
