I can't believe this actually worked!

I was walking along, smoking a cigarette. Some guy came up to me and asked if I had a smoke. I said no. He didn't take kindly to this, so the idiot grabbed my arm. Surprised, I turned and knocked his arm away. This really seemed to upset him. I went into combat mode. As he started to swing on me, my right hand was already taking a position in front of my face. His fist met my palm, which held onto it. I immediately grabbed his wrist with my left hand, bringing his elbow against my ribs, up near my armpit. I pivoted to my right with everything I had, and the guys elbow bent in a way nature never intended. Fight over. I think it lasted 5 seconds or less. Now, I'm no tough guy. This is a little maneuver that I have practiced many times. I'm not that fast either. I'm not sure what clued me to the fact that he was about to swing on me. Must have been something subliminal. This just goes to show that a little preparation can go a long way in a violent encounter. Don't be a victim.

There are a few defensive moves that I practiced with a friend. During the fight, I didn't even have to think about it. I figured he was going to pop me in the face, so that's where my hand went. I was really shocked when I caught his fist. I'm sure he was too. LOL!

Yes, if it were not for the eco-friendly weekend warriors in therir big gas guzzling suvs over running us every weekend, it
would be. Us locals just smile, as without the tourists we would starve. We do crack an occassional joke describing the visuals of
one of the tightly clad bikers being unceremoniously deposited In the shrubbery, but for the most part we take care of them.
