Muslims have killed about 670 MILLION since Mohammad, the inquisition killed about 32 thousand. Not much of a comparison is it? Remember that the muslims murdered more people TODAY as a matter of course while no Christians committed and such terrorism today....

There is an interesting take on the inquisition, it's not hard to find, and it says most of the horror stories are a myth, and most of the torture was done by the SECULAR governments of the time

It is odd that leftists will excuse, defend and tolerate any violence, the systematic rape of conquered women as part of jihad, and murder itself, for Islam, but have no tolerance of anyone who disagrees with them

Actually the modern liberal leftist is neither liberal nor tolerant. They are proving to be hateful, spiteful, intolerant. deceptive, and dangerous. Just like the muslims they seem to love so much.....

Why not just call them what they really are? They are Satanists. They may not identify as such, but that is exactly what they are. Because they worship the father of lies.

Perhaps you should be blaming the church, not Jesus.

I didn't think it would be possible to get what I said... "contrast between the teaching of Jesus Christ and the politics of the various Churches", completely backwards but there we go.
Nevertheless, I'll make it clear as possible... I *do* blame the churches and like many secular Americans, I'm totally down with the teachings of Jesus Christ. It's this contrast (in fact the whole Catholic vs Protestant conversation) that allows me to see that from a distance, we might see Islam as a single-minded obsession, but they have major contrasts of their own and if we want to be aware of threats from that part of the world then we would do better to narrow the focus instead of blaming an entire religion.

Big Bass wrote:

Even the pope is getting involved in politics, and I agree this is wrong. Also, many attendees at church are there to be seen, rather than to worship. And I agree that nobody has the right to force their religion on anybody. (I say one of two things to any Jehovah's witness who makes the mistake of coming to my front door, "I'm a hematologist," or "Can't talk now, I'm off to give blood.") But I will always respect their right to believe whatever they want.

I just tell them I'm not interested.
Good point about the motive to be seen - I've seen that. Church for a lot of people is a social event anyway and I'm not going to knock it. People need social settings. I grew up Episcopalian - that was all social gathering, but I also saw how the "Sunday party people" came together to help and support any one of them in need. And there was still the sermons and the ceremonies.

Meanwhile, in the jungles of Africa you have a group of bloodthirsty savages wrapping their automatic weapons with rosary beads and calling themselves the Lord's Resistance Army. I come from the group of Christians that encouraged children to act in Christmas plays, not the group of Christians that encouraged children to kill strangers.

I guess I've made my point. ;)

No, but it takes courage to strap on a bomb knowing it's going to blow you up.

Here's the thing... I understand the use of accurate language. Bill Mahr was 100% correct in saying the 9/11 attackers were NOT "cowards" like Bush said they were. I mean regardless of everything else (I'm sure they were convinced they were the "good guys"... doing God's), would YOU high-jack a plane and fly it into a skyscraper?
Just saying... that takes balls.

None of this means I actually like them or that I support what they do. F*ck THAT sh!t.

I'm just being accurate, albeit colorful with my language.

Watch your language, my Ancestors were Vikings! They civilized the former Roman colony and gave the Enlist the spirit they carried thru WW2, but things see to have broken down some since...maybe Brexit is a rebirth, we'll have to see.....

Having English/Scottish blood myself there's a good chance some of it is Viking... they did integrate, but I don't know if the English (Anglo-Saxons) at the time, who were already Christians, would have agreed the pagan Vikings brought civilization but I think they brought a few things to the table nevertheless, such as one of the earliest forms for socialism, not to mention equality for women which was very odd to Christians.

As for Brexit... I think that was a mistake. That's the problem with popular referendums... so many times, voters are riding on "spirit" without actually thinking things through. There's been a lot of similar movements throughout Europe and it seems they are all starting to back off now after seeing what's happening with Brexit. But as you say... we'll see.

Just say NO to the NWO. It is happening.
The banking cabal, and their wealth is aligned against the freedom movement.
Debt slavery must be understood and abolished.
Nation governments are to be sovereign. That includes their currencies. Print US Notes here, not "Federal" Reserve Notes.

No one on the left is defending the systematic rape of conquered women anywhere and groups like ISIS that do these things ARE decidedly religious AND extreme right, as characterized by their refusal of foreign elements and their enforcement of religious tradition. Meanwhile, the left is defending the 1st Amendment right for anyone in America to practice Islam within the confines of the law. Totally different things.

Dude, it's been happening for the last 200 years. The British Empire was a hegemonic world order in the 19th century and most of what made America "great" in the 20th century was in fact the New World Order that FDR created on the heels of WW2 and it was exactly that New World Order, based on arrangements like Bretton-Woods, best recognized as "neoliberalism", that the Soviets opposed in the Cold War... calling it imperialism, which is not totally inaccurate.

eagleye13 wrote:

Always has been.

eagleye13 wrote:

Understanding it shouldn't be difficult, abolishing it is whole 'nother story. The reason why debt is America's #1 export is because our capitalist system is entirely based on debt slavery. There is no way in hell you can make a real move against debt slavery without going through a line of right-wing conservatives that will be convinced you are a socialist.

Good example... Look at what happened to Saddam Husein when he suggested moving an alternative to the Federal Reserve Note for oil trade.

The "Federal" Reserve System in not a "capitalist system". It is tha bastardization of what the Conststution set up. The Banking Cabal designed it for their control; and control they have.

"our capitalist system is entirely based on debt slavery" - sUP
That it is, and must be remedied. Go back to US Notes. The Article1; Section 8 provision.

By the way; that wealth and control made it possible for them to buy both parties.
Trump may change that. He was the only one running for President that would try.
Neither party leaderships got behind him, until he was unstoppable. Some RINOS are still trying to get in the way. Ryan? McConnell?

The Federal Reserve is the money supplier for the entire capitalist system. I don't know what makes you think you can't use capitalism to control people. You can use ANY system to control people.

At this point, getting rid of the Federal Reserve would require nothing less than a revolution. I'm sure you don't need much convincing to know that the plutocracy that runs this country is not in any way devoted to our constitutional process. This is evidenced by the cultural anti-democracy movement they've been encouraging for 30 years.

eagleye13 wrote:

Of course.

eagleye13 wrote:

I haven't seen one single indication that he has the slightest interest in changing any aspect of plutocratic control.

eagleye13 wrote:

Neither party got behind him because they both wanted candidates that would succeed in driving their agendas and neither side thought Trump was capable of doing that. Just because someone isn't a first choice doesn't mean they pose any threat. Sometimes, people just don't get picked for a team because they aren't very good. Trump took advantage of the confusion among the populace and that's how slipped in and so far he hasn't accomplished a single thing because the courts keep stopping him. So much for being unstoppable.

Honestly, I don't know what you really want or if you even know what you want, but if you want less power controlled by the plutocracy as you seem to be suggesting, I would start looking for another hero because Trump is only going to disappoint you. In fact so far he has done everything in opposition to what you SAY you want. For instance, I remember you saying that voting for Clinton would be voting for more war and yet, Trump is already increasing the military budget and escalating warfare in Syria and Yemen and a lot of world leaders are expressing concern about his mindless volatility.

So, how much of your concern is about changing the system and how much is just about supporting Trump? Are you going to change your principals each time Trump steps on them?
