"The peanut butter and banana sandwich, sometimes referred to as an Elvis sandwich or simply the Elvis, consists of toasted bread slices with peanut butter, sliced or mashed banana. Books on Elvis Presley's favorite foods and culinary tastes, as well as other published reports on his taste for peanut butter and banana sandwiches with or without bacon, have made the sandwich widely associated with Presley":

Didn't hit the link, did you? Bread is buttered on the outside then fried, in the butter on the bread. I do the same thing with a ham & cheese sandwich and call it 'ham & cheese grilled', so I guess it's a 'peanut butter & banana grilled'.

Still though, 'sick puppy'!

Died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42. The cause of death was covered up by his family; but, it is suspected that it was an overdose of prescription drugs that caused his heart to stop. Official cause of death was heart attack. I was just 13 years old. I remember all the girls crying over it. One good thing though, they played his records on the radio for weeks afterward.

I call it 'sick puppy food'. My wife does that kind of thing. She'll come up with the zaniest combination and sit there eating it. You're right, by the way: YUK!!!

It's 'grits' you sicko, not "grites". You just don't have a gourmet's palate to enjoy good food. I hope you don't prevent your wife from enjoying those delicious foods.
