This is true, but those who are so frightened about our climate change are not looking at the bigger picture.... seems Mars is also undergoing significant climate change. Is that the fault of fossil fuel, cow flatulence or humans.... or is climate change natural?

Newly published evidence suggests Mars is experiencing global warming as it emerges from an ice age.

The red planet, which moved closer to the Earth on Monday than at any other time since 2005, has retreated from a glacial period that would have covered large areas in white before the thaw about 370,000 years ago, according to a study published Friday in the journal Science.

The research was conducted using an instrument on board the NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter that allowed an unprecedented examination of “the most recent Martian ice age recorded in the planet’s north polar ice cap,” according to a NASA press release.

Research was led by planetary scientist Isaac B. Smith at the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado. “We found an accelerated accumulation rate of ice in the uppermost 100 to 300 meters of the polar cap,” Mr. Smith said in a statement on the SRI website. “The volume and thickness of ice matches model predictions from the early 2000s. Radar observations of the ice cap provide a detailed history of ice accumulation and erosion associated with climate change.”

Perhaps you did not read the news from NASA "A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.

The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.

According to the new analysis of satellite data, the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001. That net gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008."

Nov. 19th, 2016; According to NASA Higher Global Temperatures Have caused both the Arctic and Antarctic sea ice to their lowest levels ever!

Sea ice has no net effect on sea levels.

Put ice in a class, carefully fill it with water to he very top, the floating ice will be above the top by 9 to 10 percent. Let it melt, there wil ne no overflow. Want to see a fool, consult a mirror.

The mere fact that you responded with childish comment proves your complete lack of common sense!

Sea ice is full of salt and denser, your 1st grade lab class used tap water, simpleton!

Strange how this all works before they said climate ( global warming )/then the cold came now they call it climate (global ) change/ now they are back peddling funny how that works now that the funding has stopped coming in.
