The Real RINOS?

Bernie Goldberg, who once worked at CBS, was on O'Reilly last night. He was bemoaning the fact that if the GOP nominates a candidate who does not share the values of the conservatives then they will not support him/her. He said these conservatives are the real RINOS. It is ok for the GOP establishment to throw the recent conservative candidate for Governor in Virginia under the bus, but we are expected to blindly support anyone with an "R" behind his/her name. The Democrat Party is hopelessly tied to socialism so they cannot get America on the right path. The GOP is under the control of Democrat Lites so the only hope is to get rid of the current GOP leaders and replace them with those who believe in the Constitution and restore peronal responsibility and the true values upon which this country was founded. Goldberg can call me a RINO and the GOP leaders can hate me but I wll not support the McCain, Romney, Christy, types because they are no better than Democrats. That is why I am now an Independent.

I watched that also with much interest and I have to disagree somewhat. Why do we have Obama? Enough so called conservatives say home and not voting for Romney thus we get Obama. So they really think Obama is better than Romney, don't think they do but it wasn't their guy so they don't vote and give it away.

There comes a time in a man's life when he must take stock and re-think what he actually believes in. Yes; True conservatives are RINOS. Why? Because the republican party no longer believes in a republic. They have shifted their thinking and changed their values to that which is more in line with socialism. As Shakespear said,"Whats in a name. a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Right now the republican party stinks. I will no longer support it.

So that means you'd rather sit at home and except getting someone like Obama? It's ALWAYS been the lesser of two evils and this is exactly why we're in the mess we're in today.

Both parties have forgotten why there were parties in the first place. I believe "party" ideology is based on who controls the richest superpac, who has the biggest check book and who can deliver the most voters. I don't even know what a RINO is and don't care. Discussing party politics, at this level, is like fish discussing the weather.

Yes; There has always been a choice of the lesser of two evils. I have voted for the lesser evil most of my life, but evil is still evil, and I refuse to be manipulated anymore.

That is the same message that the GOP elete is pushing. They do not stand for anything, but they say at least they are better than the Democrats. The last time the GOP had both houses of Congress and the President did they do anything much different then the Democrats. No!

no, we do not think obozo is better than Romney, but the RINO's in the RNC need to learn this country has a constitution and we need to follow it they put up two RINO's in a row and lost it's time we ran a real republican and if they continue to do that more and more will stay home

What is more important; getting our party elected to power or saving the country? If we vote for the Rinos we will be in almost the same position we would be in with a Democrat victory. Maybe the slide will slow a little but the country is still doomed.
Winning the election at the cost of losing our souls seems a poor bargain to me.

And that dear conservative friend is why we have Obama, people thinking exactly like you do. In other words you are saying if I can't have my candidate I am staying home and not voting. So when you do that it works like what we have now. It has been like that for years and years when we have a spoiler candidate on the presidential ballot. I will call to mind Mr. Ross Perot, that is why we had what we had and usually when someone is elected they are re-elected so instead of 4 years we get 8 years ie. Barack Hussein Obama. Have you ever heard of working with what you have, I would kiss Romneys ass right now if he were the president instead of this jackass from my home town Chicago. Yea, yea, Kenya I get it. But it is because of people that think like you we have this fool that we have now.

You work with what you have and change from within. No party can survive, america can not survive if we have 4 - 8 years of another democrat disaster. Wake up buddy, no disrespect intended

Pretty simple, continue to stay at home continue with obozo likes. If one really loves their country, you vote.

What is the point in this conversation. The vast majority of republicans are centrists or soft right. The Tea Party will never be a major party, not ever. There is no central leadership, there is no platform as in the Republican platform or the Democrat platform and most republicans view Tea Partiers as whackos, nuts, etc. The republicans know very well there is a constitution, the choose to ignore it when it is convenient to do so. Well then if you want to run a real republican as you call it, first you have to find one that will be in agreement with running, and next you have to throw lots of millions at this candidate. Because not only will you be running against the democrat nominee, you will be running against all the repbublican candidates and the strongest one of that group is the presumed nominee of the party so you need to get the word out that the Tea Party is not so rigid, so crazy as is the perception at the present time.

Being a Tea Party member I realize the party will never run the show unless they slowly chip away at the RINO's. It took the left wing damn near 40 years to take control of the democratic party.
