How do you know that you can't?

Hard times have happened over the last 10 years, but Americans have been rescued from them by the socialist state that has destroyed the future of this country.

95 million working aged Americans (16 years to 54 years of age) have been dropped from the 'US Workforce', just to reduce the unemployment rate, in order to keep the American people from seeing Obama as the failure he really was, as the number of people on 'Welfare & Food Stamps' increased from 17 million Americans when Obama became President in the depths of the Bush recession, to over 50 million today, and all this during an economy that Obama claims was in an economic recovery for the last 7 1/2 years of his 8 years as President.

During Obama's supposed economic recovery, the American people's averaged income declined by 10% and their accumulated wealth decreased by 15%. Also during Obama's supposed economic recovery, Obama averaged $1.3 trillion in deficits for his entire 8 years as President, where no other President before Obama had even come close to a trillion dollar deficit, and from those deficits, $1 trillion went for 'Welfare, Food Stamps, Disability Payments, and Medicaid', all federal government handouts so the American people would not go through the "hard times" that the adage claims makes them "stronger".

Obama is the first President in US history to never have a GDP go above 2%, and he had 8 full years to achieve that, while most President only had 4 years or less, yet achieved it. Obama has more than doubled the national debt in just 8 years, that took all previous Presidents 232 years to acquire, and this tremendous new debt, and the interest payments that it requires, will end up financially destroying the US economy and the US dollar in the not so far off future, that will definately cause the American people to go through some horrendously "hard times", and that will either make them "stronger", or kill them.

I know exactly where you are talking about, I attend Mass at the Catholic Church just a couple of streets from there. You might know a friend that also grew up in that exact same area, Larry Scalzo, a doctor now, but one of four boys and one girl (oldest to youngest - Lou, Larry, Tony, Jimmy, & Therese) that attended Cocoa Beach High School, but lived on three different streets, all very near yours, Suwanee (off A1A), Carmine (on canal), and Angelo (on canal), all near the 'Fire House' on North Banana River Drive, Cocoa Beach, Florida. Larry is a tremendous Trump supporter and a devout Catholic, who supports his mother, as his father has passed. I don't remember where you said you lived today, but if you ever visit Cocoa Beach again, please look us up, for I've told Larry about you and he also said he would like to meet you, as he is single, but I don't dare show him your picture, for he gets excited very easy for being a doctor, but is an avid skate boarder and surfer, even at his age. Never say you're sorry, for I also love to reminisce. 'HAPPY EASTER' to you also.

Good grief what a small world!! I didn't go to the high school I was in Jr. High, 8th grade, then.. But I knew everyone in both schools because my Uncle Gary, who did go to the high school used to drive me to school after we surfed in the morning.. loll if Larry and Tony are sandy blonde to light brown hair and not much difference in height then yes.. Teresa, little and always laughing then I know who you mean..

I also know right where the Church you refer to is and the Fire station.. I used to walk right by the station (on the corner ) going to Ron Johns.. loll Good gosh!!

I was last there about a year and half ago.. I went up after my mom passed for a long weekend... Seriously thought of moving back.. it really has not changed much.. Grown, yes, but not a lot of change..

I'm liable to grab a flight and just go anytime, so watch that invitation ... Thank You as well....

Linda, what was the last name of your Uncle Gary, and did he ever attend Edgewood Jr. High School on Merritt Isand, before Cocoa Beach High School was built? I might have known him, and if his last name is what I think it might be, then we were friends at Edgewood Jr. High School, but when going on to high school, he went to Cocoa Beach High School, and I went to Cocoa High School, until my last two years when Merritt Island High School was built and open.

Yeah, what about the one that says "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"? After every near death experience I've ever had - just left me weaker and that much CLOSER to death.

I actually have died. At least that's what they told me. During my heart surgery. The doctor says I am now in better shape cardio wise than I was 20 years ago. Of course, I have been really minding my manners and getting serious about this health business. Two heart surgeries and a return from death will do that to you. I have no desire to spend any more time on the table. Nine hours the first time and nearly eight the second is by God enough. I got called for jury duty not long ago, and all the staples in my chest actually set off the damn alarms at the courthouse entrance. In 2009 I spent nearly seven weeks in the hospital. Crappy food, hideous coffee and ugly nurses. Screw that.
