Matthew chapter 12

Verse 1 & 2

On the Sabbath day you were to do no work. You can eat on the Sabbath. This was actually wheat. The Pharisees had no compassion. The disciples were hungry, but all they want do is finger point.

Verse 3 & 4

The account of David is found in the 21st chapter of first Samuel.

Verse 5 - 8

The preacher preaches on Sunday. The whole bible is about a relationship with God through Jesus. Jesus is our Sabbath. “I will have mercy and not sacrifice” is found in Hosea 6:6. Jesus made the bible come alive.

Verse 9 - 13

Jesus can see how the Sabbath is being misunderstood. He goes to a synagogue to heal a man and ask a question, and make a statement. The Sanhedrin placed more value on their own livestock than the people that made them rich and financed their easy lifestyles.

Verse 14

The Pharisees want to kill Jesus because He is debunking bad ideas. Even though God came to this planet and wrote with His finger in stone not to murder.

Verse 15 & 16

When you go to church, put money in the collection plate, listen at people sing, and watch people dance, what are you accomplishing? This nation is getting dumber and dumber. Jesus life actually benefited those around Him. Donald Trump wants to save this nation. His critics haven’t done anything for anybody but themselves.

Verse 17 - 21

These scriptures are found in Isaiah 42:1 - 4. Christ encourages and does not discourage. Life is a learning process. If someone has bad ideas, life will show them the error of their ways.

Verse 22 & 23

Jesus actually helped those around Him. The Sanhedrin, (the scribes and Pharisees), only helped themselves. They were finger pointers also. The people were starting to realize this is the one spoken of in the old testament.

Verse 24 - 26

The first time they make this accusation Jesus doesn’t say anything. This time Jesus asks them a question. A house divided cannot stand. We will either stand together or fall apart. It is foolish to think you can invade a country, rob and rape it’s citizens, and take over the country.

Verse 27 - 30

Their children didn’t heal anyone. But when the kids grow up they see all events through adult eyes.

Verse 31 & 32

If you have no spiritual discernment, it is better to keep quiet. We can’t see spirits. If you believe God is satan, that is unforgivable. God and satan have nothing in common. There is a life after this one.

Verse 33 - 37

Generation means offspring or children. There are people walking this earth today that are blood relatives of satan.. You can know a tree by it’s fruit. With trees we are not concerned with the leaves or the roots. You will never find apples on an orange tree. A man of God does not tear you down or deliberately make you feel bad. Children of satan just want to argue.

Verse 38 - 40

You shouldn’t look for God to show you something to prove he is real. This creation is all the proof we need. Order and sequence do not just happen. I can make pancakes. I would question your intelligence if you said pancakes make themselves. The only signs are written in the old testament. That is where you find Jonah.

Verse 41 &42

There is a life after this one. Words mean things. Choose your words and deeds carefully. Because once you say something, you can’t unsay it. Once you do something, it can’t be undone.

Verse 43 - 45

The devil is persistent. When he is cast out he is looking for a way back in. For the first 300 years after Christ Christians were murdered. The Catholic church killed for Christ. The idea went from being killed for Christ to killing for Christ.

Verse 46 - 50

Everyone who looked up to Christ thought to esteem Christ’s family. Jesus says to esteem those who do the will of His Father.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
