Matthew chapter 11

Verse 1 - 6

What John is really asking is, “is this the time”? Read the 35th and the 42nd chapters of Isaiah. Even though John was mistreated, he came in the spirit of Elijah. We don’t understand how God works in your life. If God is pleased with the words you speak and the way you live your life, then satan will hate you and everything you stand for. Deceived minds will persecute you. But God is in control.

Verse 7 - 15

Although John’s life ended badly, Jesus gives him the greatest compliment. The least in the kingdom of heaven is satan. In Luke 17:21 Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven is within you. Although John was the greatest prophet, satan was behind everyone’s emotion to get John killed. God appealed to John’s intellect. Which is why John had to speak to Herod, when he violated God’s word. Herod was sleeping with his brother Phillips wife. Herod was king. John lived under Herod’s jurisdiction. Deuteronomy 18:16 forbids sleeping with your brothers wife. A prophet in the spirit of Elisha will stand for God’s word even if it cost his life. To overcome in every Church God addresses in Revelation, the criteria is found in Revelation 12:11. Three things are needed to overcome: 1. The blood of the lamb. 2. The word of their testimony. 3. They loved not their lives unto death. Martin Luther King is an example of a modern day prophet. Today people who had no remedy for Jim Crowe judge Martin Luther King’s actions. Martin said, “if you haven’t found a cause for which you would die, you are not fit to live”. Leviticus 18:22 says men shouldn’t sleep with men. Proverbs 6:17 ends saying God hates the shedding of innocent blood. The most innocent in America are unborn children. They have never uttered a cry, drank from a breast or bottle, or soiled a diaper. Homosexuality and abortion are wrong and needs to stop.

Verse 16 - 19

No one pays attention to children in public, whether they cry or laugh. Some people want to treat adults like children and children like adults. Leave them alone. Bad ideas in the mind will have a negative effect on the person that carries them, and whoever is close to them.

Verse 20 - 24

It has been said that if God allows America to continue, He should apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus had a house in Capernaum. Although He taught and healed there, no one really listened. A servant is not greater than his master. Disciples of Christ will receive similar treatment.

Verse 25 - 27

God is not in large churches. The true message in scripture is hidden from the wise and prudent. You can become rich telling people what they want to hear. If you tell people what they need to hear, some will examine your past and find diaper you soiled as a child, and hold it up in front of everybody, saying this proves you can’t control your bladder. Trying to discredit you and give them a reason not to listen to God now. Satan has to make it personal because his logic is pathetic.

Verse 28 - 30


We all should follow Christ. The word of God should be followed and not policed.
