Maestro Rieu just might be the 'second coming' of Strauss, in that he may not be able to compete with the composing talents of the 'Strauss's, he most certainly excels in his execution of fine music that is so lacking in today's somewhat sick world. I have a very special place for this modern greatness on my 'Pandora' radio.

I listened to most of your music and was reminded that I never hear Malaguena without listening to Roy Clark play it. Many suggest that Spanish people play better, but I don't agree.

I love foreign music or cultural music from other countries!! So unique and different it allows you to feel their culture..
Must tell you PDQ was funny yet played beautifully too..,
Red ArmyChour definetly has its own true flair of pride in their music and my favorite You listed , other than Ava Maria was The Cossack Song..
The Hungarian and Gypsey very true to their heritage and very much enjoyed listening to them .. I saved them to my music library, opening another file for Music of other cultures~~ Thank You, a nice addition I will build upon!!

They think nothing of grabbing you in a swoshhh motion and there you are on a table with them dancing at your feet., laughing and carrying on... I had a ball and learned the Greek dance (horos)?as said and
Of course the Sirtaki... Everyone knows and dances it.. no set strict motion involved and fun, fun, fun!!!!

Another excellent selection. About a month ago I was thing about universal motifs in poetry, literature and music. I began setting my thoughts down in an essay. I kept remembering other archtypes but I had completely forgotten Zorba the Greek. Nothing else evokes the idea of the Greek spirit as well and I will be incorporating in whatever direction my essay takes. Thank you for the reminder.
