Google Translate Latin to English lyrics:
"Always increasing or decreasing;
hateful life first oppresses and then soothes as fancy takes.
Now first oppresses and then soothes as fancy takes it.
Poverty, power, it melts them like ice.
Divano, Divano me, Divano Messi, Divano Messiah Messiah
Divano, Divano me Divano, Messiah Messiah Divano.
And virtue is against me in pain and exhaustion, Fate, in health,
Always in this vale of tears.
So at this hour without delay touch the strings...
Divano, Divano me, Divano Messi, Divano Messiah Messiah
Divano, Divano, me Divano Messiah, Messiah Divano in divano.
And virtue is against me in pain and exhaustion, Fate, in health,
Always in this vale of tears.
So at this hour without delay touch the strings...
Divano, Divano me, Divano Messi, Divano Messiah, Messiah
Divano, Divano me, Divano Messiah, Messiah
So at this hour without delay pluck the vibrating strings
though Fate strikes down the strong, everyone weep with me..."

All of us older generation do and I believe it is due to the familiarity of the foreign language which set the Mass apart as a sacred thing rather than secular. In addition, the constancy of the ritual, phrases and responses was an affirmation that some things are right and others are wrong.

When the vernacular was introduced the Church lost some of its Catholicism and since then it appears to have lost its principles as well. The loosening of the formerly rigid stances on birth control, divorce, remarriage and transgenderism may or may not be correct but once the lynchpin of Catholicism is removed the whole structure becomes suspect.
