To All You Christians! Houston we have a problem! A feminist and I got into a theological debate. She said that God didn't command Eve not to eat of The Tree of Knowledge he told Adam. I researched this premise and she's correct! This philosophically speaking presents a unique problem. If this is true then Adam is an idiot. God specifically told Adam! Eve didn't know. Why did Eve get the worst of the deal? Pastors are welcome to respond to this one. Comments? P.S. this womeb blew me away!

This goes straight to Darwin's Theory. You see, it wasn't God who made a monkey out of man but a woman!

I do, but I'm afraid there might be more true there than I actually want to admit.

Somehow or another, I am of the belief that Adam got the short end of the deal here.

Adam made his mistake when he said, "Yes, Dear." Then proceeded to partake of that which was forbidden.

What a fine line a.husband must balance to keep peace within his garden.

To All You Christians! Houston we have a problem! ... (show quote)

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam[f] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[g] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

If you look at Chapter three in Genesis you will see that the woman had full knowledge of what God said because this was the temptation with her rebuttal to Satan at that time. So whether it was explained to her from Adam or from God is immaterial. Also God came in the cool of the day and visited with his creation and we aren't given insight as to what was talked about during those visits nor how long of period it was from the placing of the man and the creation of the woman until the actual fall occurred. This could have been days, weeks or even months ass far as we know.

GOD gave all His sentient beings of creation (Angels & Mankind), the gifts of a 'Free Will, Power of Reasoning, and Ability of Discernment'. With these gifts GOD allowed His sentient beings to choose for themselves what they wanted to do, even if He told them not to do something, His permission was to allow them to do whatever they wanted, and therefore it was not their decision to disobey GOD that was the sin, but the reason for the disobedience is what constituted that sin, as it does all sins. The snake tempted Eve to disobey GOD by telling her that if she ate from the 'Tree of Knowledge', she would become as great as GOD, and the reason He forbid Adam to eat from that one tree. So Eve ate the fruit of the 'Tree of Knowledge' to become as great as GOD, because she had 'ENVY & JEALOUSY' of GOD, which is the actual sin, and Adam followed her disobedience for the same reason. It didn't matter who was told what, it only mattered that they both had the sin of envy and jealousy in their hearts, which caused their disobedience, which GOD had allowed by giving them a free will.

GOD also cammanded Lucifer, the greatest of all His Angels, and all the rest of His Angels to serve Mankind. But Angels, also being sentient creations of GOD, where also given the same gifts as Mankind, a 'Free Will, Power of Reasoning, and Ability of Discernment', and with these gifts GOD allowed His sentient Angels to choose for themselves what they wanted to do, even if He told them to do something else, His permission was to allow them to do whatever they wanted, and therefore it also was not their decision to disobey GOD that was a sin, but the reason for their disobedience is what constituted the sin.
Lucifer told GOD that he would not serve Mankind, because he was greater than Mankind, and therefore Mankind should serve him, as a third of all the Angels agreed with and followed Lucifer's declaration. Their sin was 'PRIDE', and the reason they were all thrown out and banned from Heaven, for they refused to serve the lesser, and therfore were void of love.

GOD is the embodiment of 'LOVE', and He loves all of His creation, and expects honor, worship, and obedience in return for His love from all His creation, especially His sentient beings that He has gifted so much to. For 'LOVE' is the greater serving the lesser, which Jesus taught His Apostles at the time of the 'Last Supper' by Him washing their feet, as well as all the examples of what He did during His ministry on Earth of curing the sick, driving out demons, and multiplying the food to feed the people, was actually in reality the serving of Mankind. GOD still serves Mankind today by providing miracles for many, and this planet that exists, precariously so, only to provide a place for Mankind to exist and live. The Earth is one of three planets in our solar system that has a circular orbit around the Sun, while the rest have an eliptical orbit, which would not allow a constant eco-system to support life, and the other two circular orbitting planets' orbits are in a position around the Sun where they too could not provide an eco-system to support life. The Earth's orbit is 93 million miles from the Sun, and the tilt of the Earth's axis that creates the seasons provide a difference of just three thousand miles change in the closeness of one hemisphere campared to the other in distance from the Sun that causes the change in seasons. An alignment of the planets of our solar system could cause gravity pull alignment to change the Earth's orbit, or cause it to wobble affecting the weather of the seasons, maybe destroying the eco-system of life, or a strike from a passing comet or huge astroid could extinguish all life on Earth, yet GOD prevents these from happening in serving Mankind, which shows us His true 'LOVE' for all Mankind.

Might be more akin to stink bait? I think I'll walk quietly away, AKA cowardly sneak, from this topic because I'm getting in the weeds.

Have I ever told you the story about the cannibal who passed his mother in law in the jungle?

Seriously? Adam threw Eve under the bus then he had the nerve to blame GOD!

and the man saith, 'The woman whom Thou didst place with me -- she hath given to me of the tree -- and I do eat.'

Eve did know, when the serpent tempted her she said that she was not supposed to eat of it she will surely die,and the serpent said u will surely not die. So she knew, but Adam told her , not God. It also says that she was deceived. Adam was not deceived. When he saw her with the fruit already eaten he knew she was out of the garden, since there was no sin in the garden at that time their love was perfect. I believe he loved her so much that he took his bite so that he wouldn't be separated from her. Can't prove that with scripture, just makes sense.

Adam told Eve not to eat? I don't know! Satan asked Eve Did God tell you not to eat of the Tree? You just said Adam told her. Therefore God himself didn't tell Eve did he?
