Great post. Having said that; think about the character of the being that created the dog. That being can restore anything or anyone; and he will.

A beautiful story of unconditional love shared by both and all...

I think it's why dogs were created...

Love sure brings our soul to soar and our spirit to simply believe..

Thank You for posting this today...🌈💌

WOW, if that don't get to you - your dead. Thank you for posting that. One of my dogs is approaching that time with a bad heart and kidney.

SWMBO and I are sitting here sobbing. The last dog we had to put down was 11 and had bone cancer. It had gotten bad enough that he did not want to eat and had to be carried outside (all 145 pounds of him) to urinate. We knew it was time because he would not even wag his tail when we carried him to the car. It was 6 years ago and it is still like yesterday. The other two dogs pined for a couple of weeks. Now we are looking at Tank, who is going on 9 and the same thought comes to mind. So it is about time we add a 4th dog to the household so Tank can teach the puppy what is required of a therapy dog as he was taught by Meistro. They are all connected and we are far better for knowing them all.

Yes, this really hit the mark for my also. My best dog ever lay around for days before leaving and looked right at me with his last gaze..

Dogs are family...

Dammit...I can't see the keyboard thru the tears.
I've been there and done that. Truly one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I'm not looking forward to doing it again, but I know I will eventually have to.

Dang you perma, but you did warn us. Cat person here, didn't find it dumb at all. Laid on the floor with my last cat and patted and rubbed her as she took her last breath. I had rescued her from the wild 15 years earlier. Mike
