Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, died in New York on Monday and it didn’t take long for social media to blame President Donald Trump.
The Russian Foreign Ministry gave no immediate details about how Churkin died, but said it was a day before his 65th birthday, Reuters reported
A U.S. government official, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the case, said that Churkin had died of an apparent heart attack.
A federal law enforcement official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said that there appeared to be nothing unusual about the ambassador’s death.
But none of that mattered to social media sleuths who, devoid of evidence, have tried and convicted President Trump of ordering his assassination to hide his campaigns supposed ties to Russia.
They included Scott Dworkin, who is a Democrat advisor and “a veteran of both the 2008 and 2012 Obama campaigns,” according to the website for his group, Democrat Coalition Against Trump.
