I found the light as a child.

My mother took me to it as soon as she recognized that I had grown enough to understand.

I didn't have to struggle at all.

The only difficulty is trying to lead others to the light when they have become hopelessly lost in the darkness.

Only the human being struggles with this dilemma.

All other forms of life have no inhibitions in regard to the light.

I'm pleased to see you comment on something other than your distaste for our president.

I don't really know much about you.

I wish you could submit a thread describing yourself and your way of life.

Wolf,

Odd, I wonder about many of the people on opp, cureous to know what the are like in life..

I am pretty simple.

Born in extreme NW Minnesota, in a genuine tar paper shack.. Two rooms down and sleeping loft above..

Moved to twin cities at the end of 7th grade...

Worked couple years, joined the Marines. Served with 7th Marines in Vietnam..

Got out, managed to pay attention enough to get a BS in Business Administration.

Had dozens of jobs during and after the U of MN..

Longest were on RR in operations and Yellow freight, trucking in opps and quality controll.

quit that and started by own biz..

Very simple service biz... Building matl. delivery and boom service to 3rd level.. Small stuff.. 2 boom trucks, 20ft with dump and 2 pickups with 12 ft flat beds..

Very busy during the 90s and a bit past.. Got out of that at about the right time.. Sold one boom truck to an immigrant from Africa, the rest to operation in Iowa..

Turned over a few houses. Fell off a ladder, took a couple years to walk right.. sold out again and SS told me I was disabled. Full retire at 64.. Now am 74 and bored as ever..

Faith wise I think I come close to your posted information.. I believe in God, but have a real hard time finding a Church I am comfortable in.. Protestant is church of choice..

Live on a very nice bit of real estate in a 100+ year old house... 45 acres overlooking a lake of about 2500 acres..

Politics---- Thought I was part conservative until I joined up with OPP.... Obama, I can find a lot that was not done right, but overall he is my man..

trump-- a few things he said he would do that I liked... Term limits and bust up the lobby bribe system of our government..

I very honestly feel that he will not do good things for anyone but himself and the 1%, but will be delighted if he does..

Nearly the only things that I feel very strongly about are environmental issues and rights for all people. The rest of the yelling is only yelling..

One wife, three kids, 5 grand kids and 1 great grand kid....

That is about it for me... How about you???

All trees will do that when they are planted very close to each other as they are reaching for the light and grow straight and tall !

Hi Perma, see you in a totally different light. Doesn't mean we are going to agree on much but does mean I won't degrade or debase your points of view as I can now understand where YOU are coming from. Congrats on a wonderful family. Mike
