Love is the only purpose of Truth

No chapter or verse, jot or tittle of the Bible has any meaning outside of love. Theology and dogma do not draw us closer to this love but create blocks to this love that, because of ego's love of self, we take as love of God. It is love of our thinking that we call theology and dogma. No beliefs exist in Christ. We are to "live and move and have our being" (Acts17:28) in him, not in our beliefs. Belief is prelude to living in Christ. It is abundantly clear, and a question of salvation, that we NOT to live by a system of belief but a spirit of action. There is far more truth in one loving touch than all the writings of Luther, Calvin, Wesley, or anyone else. At the end of his life, the great Catholic theologian summed up all works as this: "It is straw." Augustine nearing the end of his life wrote this: "Love God and do as you will." "All you need is love" is not far off, if it is truly love. The one test of true love? Love of enemy. If you have not this, you have not true love. MT5:44: But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven." "...THAT YOU MAY BE children of your Father in heaven." Are you his "children" without love of enemy? 48 "And be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Love of enemy is to be as perfect as the Father is in heaven. Is that something you do not want or think that banning Muslims works better for your soul? Or refuse to bake a cake or take a photograph or welcome a gay in your church makes you holy? "Enemy" is both what you see in them and they see in you. I have found amazing, perhaps, miraculous things, happen when I afford some grace to those who wish to do me harm in anyway. The threat dissipates. Holding no anger is the key--and that takes spirit and grace.
