Smokers can metabolize it better than people who don’t smoke. However, pairing it with smoking is a double whammy for your heart as it can stiffen the arteries and increase the user's risk of heart disease.
People who use it regularly are likely to be facing withdrawal symptoms when they wake up in the morning, causing fatigue, mood changes, depression, insomnia, cold sweats, and lethargy.
Some people use it for a boost, but with fatal results. Symptoms of an overdose are seizures, heart palpitations, vomiting, and passing out.
Withdrawal from this drug was added to the DSM-5 in 2013.
So what is this clearly dangerous drug with all of these negative connotations? Prepare to be dumbstruck.... Caffeine. The very same caffeine you drink every morning in your daily startup routine.
