Isaiah chapter 9
Verse 1
In spite of the hopelessness of looking to man for help, God sent Jesus to save us. Under no circumstances should you forget your hope should only be in Christ. We are all sinners. The Sanhedrin speaking in John 7:52 must not have read Isaiah 9:1 - 8.
Verses 2 - 7
One day the word of God will be understood and practiced. We will no longer expect to prosper while we murder children. We hold those that hurt children with the utmost disdain. While abortion is legal, we protect animal life, murder children, and sell their body parts. Jesus is our only hope. He is in control.
Verses 8 - 12
This word is not positive. Israel will lose all of it’s material possessions and any idea that they were once a nation under God. Israel may aspire to rebuild, but God will conspire to destroy. You can read 2 Kings, the 17th chapter to get an idea of why.
Verses 13 - 17
Socialist and communist countries harm their own citizens more than any other nation. The bible is the least understood yet most read book in existence. We read the bible unlike any other book. You will never understand any book when you read the sentences in random order. We have blind leading blind. The bible is being taught by men who have never read the prophets or have a working knowledge of the history of the children of Jacob. They teach what they don’t understand. The saddest thing about blind leading blind is knowing the follower has no way of knowing the leader is blind also, until it is too late.
Verses 18 - 21
The children of Jacob divided into two nations; Israel and Judah. Israel sided with Syria against Judah. This made God extremely angry. The nation of Judah became known as Jews and are currently called Israel. One day all of the children of Jacob will return to the Middle East.
