My sister, Eleanore, has a rare bone disease. She recently had another disc rupture in her spine and has been in severe pain for 72 hours. She cannot sleep and eats very little. Please pray for her. It breaks my heart to see her suffer so.

Thank you,
David

David,

Yes, of course I will pray for both of you. I am so sorry for her pain and for yours. It is so hard to see someone you love in pain.

Penny, archie, Mike and Marybeth, thank you so much. God bless all of you and yours. I am in tears. My family has always been very close, and we all love our sister dearly. She is one of the most devout Christians I have ever known, her love for Lord Jesus seems boundless. In the name of the Father and His blessed Son, may the Holy Spirit embrace my sister in healing grace.

Thank you all again

David

David, I'm not very good at expressing myself in this area; but prayers DO work!
I know this from personal experience myself.
Your sister, and your family will definitely remain in my prayers every day!

If there is ANYTHING that any of us can do to help, sing out!
We are here!

David~~
Ask and it is given without hesitation, without doubt...

So sorry to read this, as the news and request came to me from another loving soul here...

Almighty and merciful Lord, by the power of your command, please hold Eleanor in your grace, easing her pain, bringing your peace to her... Take away from her all forms of sickness and disease... Restore her strength to her body and joy to her spirit..

Lift our David, ease his worry, concern and anxiety, as he stands in your grace as well...Bring him peace and joy to his spirit, and fill his heart with, You...

In Your Name it is asked, through You, it is done...

Amen

You and Eleanor are added to my prayer as well...

archie, Lindajoy, all of you, I can't thank you enough for your quick response to this, for your compassion and prayers. I am grateful to find people I have never met who would do this for my sister. I love you all. May God's grace be with you always.

My sister, Eleanore, is a beautiful soul, she studies her Bible every day. She had six Bibles on hand, and on this past Christmas, my brother and I teamed up and gave her the study Bible she has wanted since she first saw the one I bought for myself. We also got her one bottle each of anointing oils pressed from olives, one from Jerusalem and one from Bethlehem. She told us it was the greatest Christmas gift she has ever received. It was a blessing for her.

It's been a long, long road, this disease, and it has been truly a heart rending trial for all of us. I personally have felt so helpless, even the medical profession cannot do anything more for her now. She has undergone numerous surgeries, all to no avail. Now all they can offer her are pain medications. Really, all that is left is prayer.

So, again, thank you. Peace be with you.

David

You are loved as well and lifted in our Father's grace...

Nothing more frustrating than to feel you can not help...Just know your very existance in her daily life is exactly what she needs...

Stay strong our friend...Know we are right here if anything is needed and our prayers continue.....

Realizing that there is little you can do is step one. Then realizing that there is so much you can do to comfort her and strengthen her soul will allow you all to bring love and comfort to her,God will do the rest. I know that when my brother was dying of cancer, the agony he was going through was difficult for all of us, and the "if only"s loomed large. For us the worst part was all the years we had been estranged and left out of his life, at least David knows that his family connection is strong and intact, and that God's will is not for us mortals to understand,, nor to question. The tears will be plentiful but so will the love and all our prayers will be with them all.

I thank you all again. I told my sister about you guys and she is immensely grateful. She asked me to thank you and said she feels the prayers--she's very sensitive like that. I spoke with her today and she said she's feeling a bit better. The pain is still with her, but not nearly as intense. And she can move around a bit.

What I have learned about prayer is that we may not see the results we ask for, but what is important is to know that it is in God's hands, and as much as we abhor the suffering, in God's eyes, it will count for something. I've heard it said that those who suffer the most will receive the greatest blessings.

My problem is, as strong as I have always been in so many adverse and even dangerous circumstances, I tend to break down when it comes to the suffering of those I love. I'm hanging in though, and for my sister I am on call 24/7. What a blessing that our loving God is that way too.

Anyway, God bless you all.

David
